"AAAR curse you hunter" i raored in fury at my own stupidity "the sword you took from my father."
The hunter didn't react. "The black blade" i smirked watching his reaction "the greatsword with the ruby in the hilt"
I saw him flinch at the mention of the ruby " I followed it signature here. that cursed blade leaves a trail where ever it travels."
Suddenly i felt the old one's presence in my mind."Good bye hunter i smirked and snapped his arm at the elbow breaking his grip. "And now my insurance" i leaped in to the air smacked the girl into unconciousness and ran as fast as i could for as long as i could before tying her up and feeding on some locals before settling for the night.

I howled with rage as I watched him flee into the night, carrying the girl with him too. I knew I'd never catch him now, but I vowed I'd find him again; I couldn't let myself go on knowing I'd sent that girl to her death.
Ooo a valiant side eh Shakain? I cursed my twisted mind, but had to agree with it: I couldn't figure out why I wanted to protect her either. But still I planned to save her and for once I was glad Mikael and I had such an old "bond". I knew that he wouldn;t be active again until tomorrow at the least so I had some time to formulate a plan.

With a sigh of defeat and one more cursive glance into the night I turned and trudged dejectedly back into the castle.
So much for your big exit. I really wish I had a less annoying internal voice.
"This is my plan of attack"

"Hmmm, looks more like a pin to me"

"No, it's definitely a tac"

Genima Striker:

She saw the hunter return just after she'd finished burring Seva. She'd seen the fight and the expression he now wore. He was beating himself up for the human girl's life. The human seemed to be everywhere. She'd seen her a few days ago as the lycan's clan but had seemed have disappeared.

The girl knew exactly what she was getting into when she'd followed a vampire hunter. Of course a few of the vampires would want revenge and now the girl was stuck in it. She deserved it but Genima still couldn't help feeling sorry for the hunter. "If you wish I can help you," She said intertwining with his path inside the castle.

"How so?" He grunted at her with dishevel.

"I have a lot better senses than you do if you hadn't already known a vampire. You may have very high senses but we still have better senses. I promise I won't try and kill you if you don't try and kill me."

Danie James:

She woke bound and laying on her side. It was hard to see the vampire sideways but she saw him none the less. He was just sitting there contemplating. His eyes shifted to her when he noticed she was staring intently at her or maybe he'd already known and he was tired of it. She shifted her stare at the moon which was hard to see by the way. It was covered by multiple trees and shrouded by a thin layer of cloud. It shined down on her but the vampire had chosen to sit in the darkness. She closed her eyes and moved to where she was laying on her back, basking her face in what moon light there was.
We've all been broken in some way. It's just how we express it that makes us dffrent form eachother.

“This precious book of love, this unbound lover,
To beautify him only lacks a cover.”

He could feel pain in his chest. He saw his mum and father who he had never meet nor seen but why could he suddenly see them. His mind told him to go in the direction of north.

Jared is the same Jared from all of them, If you want you can bump into Jareds son in the forest and you both head to the castle. You can claim jordan if you want. But i think a good story line would be if you go out with jordan but have an affair with Jared.

Phoenix

"Oh, it's fine." I said smiling.

"So uh, what are you doing out here all by yourself?"

"The truth is, I don't know." I said.

"Why is that?" He asked.

"Alot of questions coming from a complete stranger, although it's kind of nice, at least I'm not completely alone."

"Oh." He nodded, he probably thought I was cray, maybe I AM crazy.

"This may seem really stupid, but I don't know who I am, and where I came from, all I have is this." I pulled out a piece of ripped paper whch was soaking and small that said Phoenix, meet me at the lodge at 5:30.

I could sense the human staring at me hidden under the shadows of the trees. I never could understand are natural preys obsession with our kind. Still maybe i was in a bad mood from the lack of accessible blood, only one pitiful bar maid, but there was no way i was feeding on this one. No i have something much worse in mind for her.

All this over a simple sword. No not any sword, i thought, but my birth right. The key to Zaranastra the Sleeping army. Just thinking of the ill fated army cursed by my kin sent a thrill of power through me. Soon, i thought, soon i would awaken them and then the humans and lycans alike would suffer my displeaure. Yes that was i thought i took great pleasure in.

"I smell food" i whispered to the girl before racing into the forest taking the startled group of men by suprise. One fell his spine snapped neatly in to with a most amazing crack. The next had half brought some pitiful device to bear before i drove my fist into his chest and stopped his heart before mentally stricking the man behind me before he could move. I lifted the three corpses and dragged them back to our mak shift camp before feeding and leaving there bodies for the birds.

"Here" i muttered as i lifted the human onto my shoulders "Eat" i offered her a peice of cheese i had found on one of the men.

She reacted by spitting at me so i simply lifted her and drove myself ever onward toward a lonely mountain in the distance.

For the second time that night I left the castle with a women in tow; except this time I expected the women could take care of herself a bit better. We headed north west as the female vampire, who introduced herself as Genima, told me that was where the nearest town - "Well village" - was located. We walked through the lush forests which surrounded the castle, swiping thick vines out of our way as we went (These vampires must use some pretty damn good manure to get vines growing in these parts I thought) and we reached the town....village just as day peeked its rosey head over the horizon. I almost smiled as we were basked in the warmth of a new day, but Genima just looked irritated by it and I decided it would be a good idea to get near some shade as soon as possible. Whilst I wondered if these vampires needed sleep, we slipped into the village through a small picket gate that would be completely useless defence if the local vamps decided to attack. Already I had low expectations of this place and this was not helped by the residents we saw.
I prayed the majority of the citizens were still sleeping otherwise it looked like this town was inhabited by a drunken hobo, two prostitutes who were in varying states of conciousness and a man who looked like he was old enough to have met Julius Caesar. Suddenly, and to the great disgust of Genima, the homeless man became animated and propelled himself at us screaming
"SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES!!! ALL OF...THEM...DEAD.......HE WATCHES US ALL!"
I considered repeating the tactics I used for Mikael and just hittng this man round the head with the butt of my crossbow, but before I could unholster it Julius' neighbour spoke up in a barely audible weeze,
"He's...r...r...right...you know" I stared at the ancient man with a questioning stare, but Genima was more astute than I and was upon him at once
"What do you mean?! Who's watching you?"
"The dark man...I think he...was a thief. He came last night and...broke into a lot of houses...He didn't notice me...sat here (He lives on this bench?! I thought)...yes, he broke...into lots of houses but...didn't steal nothing...then he left...town that way". After straining our ears to hear this man the swish of his coat sounded like an avalanche as he swung one arm up and extended one arthritus-ridden finger to point out of the other end of town towards the mountains.
"We have our destination" I annonced gallantly before striding off with renewed vigour.
"Thank you...sir," I heard Genima mention to the relic of a man as she stepped over the two comatose prostitutes and now docile homeless drunk and began to hurry after me.

"I wonder if we should have picked up one of them prozzies..." I mused, smirking, once Genima had caught up with me.
"That's not funny, just sick" she replied coldly.
"I suppose you're right. But i mean..." I stopped when I saw the glare she gave me. We continued in awkward silence until we met Derek.

Finally we were under the shadow of the mountains. "At last" i smirked "it's good to be back."

I quickly scaled the bleak rock face up to a small worn hut built into the moutain side. With in it was pitch black. The kind of darkness that makes grown men shiver, the kind of darkness that calls to me and makes me ... Powerful. I carried the woman over to a small cot bed in the corner and ran into the tunnels i couldn't see but new were their from years of exploration. I raced through the darkness feeling its power fill me. I ran on and on passed many tunnels each containing a treasure of my past or body of a departed friend until i reached the final tunnel after miles of racing through the darkness i reached the chamber where they rest. The burial chamber of Zaranastra.

"Ah" i let out an involentary gasp at the sheer vastness of the chamber and everywhere i cast my eyes thousands of soldier stood unmoving for a thousand years. I can understand while they killed my father, i thought, that one leige lord, especially one as unstable as my father, could comand this kind of awesome power would be enough to drive me to slay him and all of his kind. But they missed one i thought with a note of self satisfied pleasure.

I turned and ran back through the darkness stopping only once to look into the cold dead face of the only family i had ever known. Seigfried and Amarya, my blood brother and sister, killed while they were resting in their coffins. i ran onward till i found the human lying wriggling on the floor. "Don't struggle." i knelt and began untying her "and don't worry" i smiled reading her thoughts " you can't escape and you sure as hell aren't strong enough to kill me but you're not so noble defender will be here soon, im sure of it" I smiled unable to believe that the hunter would fall for such an obvious trick as that possessed old man.

Derek was dead. There was no doubt about it. He was hung from a tree by the side of the road and his guts were strewn across the full width of the country road as if his stomach had exploded from within. This looked like the handy work of a certain vampire...a vampire who I was beginning to dislike even more as the hours passed.
From what we could garner from his attire and his ID, Derek Merrywood had once been a Seargent of the police from the nearest big town. We guessed he had simply taken a more scenic route home one night and had bumped into Mikael.
He probably saw a bloody, angry man carrying a young, bound girl and felt it was his duty to stop this kidnapping. I could picture it now: Derek sees this man, What's going on here? he thinks as he pulls his car over to the side of the road. Leaving his keys in the ignition he steps out, touching the gun strapped to his side for reassurance, and moves slowly towards the bedraggled man - who after carrying that girl all this way must have been breathing heavily by now, adding to the tension.
"Sir, would you care to tell me what's been going on here?". Up to this point there would have been the slimmest chance poor, unknowing Derek could have escaped from Mikael's clutches, but now there was no doubt Mikael knew he was there, and Mikael hated company. Mikael would have dumped the girl onto the roadside and held one hand out towards Derek. The seargent would have probably just thought this man was drunk and so would have been surprised when he felt his windpipe slowly closing. Even more surprised, when he suddenly, forcefully collided with one of the pretty evergreen trees which lined this deserted road without any apparent human influence. Just as he thought he would choke to death at the hands of some invisible enemy, Derek would be very shocked to find his enemy behind him with one hand on his back, the other soothing Derek's poor neck as it widened and air filled his lungs once more. If this shocked him, I'm sure Derek would have been amazed at what happened next. For just as he began to ask this strange fellow why he had saved him, he would see the hand which had just moments before rested on his back, now prtruding from his stomach like something out of that film Alien he and his wife had watched the other night (how terrified she had been as they lay huddled up on the sofa together. And how bad he had felt when he knew why he wasn't half as scared as her: because he'd already watched the Making Of... documentary while she had been out of the room talking to Margret on the phone about how terrible the "education system" was getting these days).
The last thing Derek would have seen as life slipped from his podgy fingers would have been his own internal organs paving the road in front of him like some sick Jackson Pollock painting.
By this point Mikael would have removed his hand from the innocent man and, I expect, picked up the body and - using the man's tie - hung the corpse from a sturdy branch as a warning for anyone thinking of following him before taking the man's gun and - after loading the girl into it's trunk - his car too.

Well we weren't taking that warning, although I suspected it was left for us, and, after we had untied the poor man and lain him to rest peacefully in some foliage where we hoped no-one would discover this tragic secret of our world, we continued on our quest towards the mountains and my final meeting with Mikael. I'm sure I would have felt a lot worse at this point if I had known that, although I had led two women to this showdown, I would leave it with only one.

I sat in the cave, having finally got bored of watching the human try to escape. I centered myself once more letting my mind wander and finding him close to my marker. I could feel him coming toward the mountains and with every foot closer he came the more of that day i remembered.

I remember racing Seigfried around the corridors of our lair to the sound of Amarya's light hearted laughter filling me with joy. Then their was the feast with Arthus and the others. I remember dancing and dining and letting my heart fill with happiness as i watched my blood father and mother so happy after so long. They had finally succeeded not only in moving our entire clan but in finding a place we could finally call home. Then i remember walking down to the crypt with my brother and sister chatting away. "Aren't you going to rest brother?" Amarya asked concerned. "No i'm gonna go read the old texts again" i replied
"Your obsessed with that bloody sword" Seigfried laughed raciously.
"Night brother" i laughed before running deep down into the library to read late into the day.

Thats when they came. While so many were sleeping they passed through initially unnoticed before i felt the mental shreiks of 25 vampires dying forever shoot through my mind. I rose and ran quickly up the stairs before releasing the beast inside. I remember striking again and again killing men with every blow. then i reached the throne room and saw him, a young man in his prime standig over the decapitated body of my father. Another wall of mental death shrieks and the world turned black and swallowed me whole.
