The Night Games

Wesley and Erin

I just stared at him for what seemed like hours, just the two of us in the snow that whiped around us violently.

"What do we need to talk about?" I asked him questioningly, my eyes not leaving his.

"You know exactly what I mean" Cody said, I felt his grip tighten around me and he started leaning his face down to mine...

Cody

I put a restrain on myself, letting her see the pain in my aqua eyes.

"I'm sorry." I whispered. "Wesley, I like you... I really really like you. But..." I said closing my eyes then I opened them letting her beautiful face see how much pain I was in.

Wesley

"But... What?" I asked, my voice seeming to become more hoarse and my skin probably turned three shades paler.

"I don't know... It's just that" Cody started, his eyes looking into mine, I saw his pain and frozen tears streamed down my face.

Brahn

Brahn soon saw Wesley and Cody sitting outside of the cave, locked in each others arms. As he and Frost approached the cave hand in hand, he let go of her grip and looked down, letting his eyes adjust to the cave around him. As Frost and Shinar found their seats, Brahn went to sit beside Frost, but Shinar growled and lunged at him, causing Brahn to jump back. Sighing, he took the spot he had had at the beginning of the games, before they had been released. He looked across the room at Frost, who seemed to have a few tears in her eyes but was blinking them away. Is a wolf really going to get between us?

Cody

"I can't do what you want me to do, I can't be the person you need." I said sticking my thumbs in my back pockets.

Hurt flickered across her face. "Who said I needed anyone?" She stuck her chin up looking at me.

"I may not know you that well on a personal level, but I can read minds, not literally-but..." I just couldn't finish my sentences today.

"What?" She said her voice going cold. "Just say it, I'm a big girl." She said.

I took her hand in mine, and rubbed my thumb over the top of her hand. "I don't want to see you cry, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be the one to tell you a lie."

"People lie to me everyday, Cody." She said no longer looking me in the eye.

I dropped her hand and put my hands up in surrender. "That's just it baby, thats just it." I said and turned walking away into the snow covered forest...

Wesley

I watched him walk away into the forest, the snow had finally stopped falling from sky and I thought that Night Keeper was finally giving us a break, teh thought made me laugh hysterically.

"Why do you do this to us!" I shouted and stomped into the cave. I'd finally gone nuts.

"Brahn, Frost, watch Erin. Don't let her out of your sight, when you make it out of here make sure she finds her mother" I said, staring at them with intense eyes.

"Wesley... What- Where are you going?" Frost asked, bewildered at me.

"I'm not hiding here anymore, Zachariah has finally made me lose it!" I said and started laughing again. "Night Keeper better watch his back... I'm going after him!" I shouted and I could feel the heat from my fire flowing through my body.

"Where's Cody?" Brahn asked me, taking a few steps toward me I only glared at him.

"Cody is gone" I said simply and walked over to Erin, kissing the sleeping child on the forhead then I walked back to the cave entrance. "This is finally going to stop..." I whispered and laughed again, "tell Cody, if he does come back. That he doesn't have to worry about hurting me anymore!". Then I was gone...

Cody

I wasn't me anymore! She wasdriving me over the edge and I couldn't make her understand until I could show her and the only way to show her was to hurt her, and I didn't want to do that to her, i couldn't!

I ran until I pounced into a tree and sat down on it it was snow covered and cold I looked down, it was a waterfall which had icicles on it, I heard something growl, I turned to see two dogs pawing at the trunk of the tree, I saw Wesley walking in the snow and the dogs huffed, they were going to attack Welsey, that was even worse than what I had told her

"Wesley! MOVE!!!" I shouted, she looked up at me in the tree.

"What are you doing all the way up there?"

"Don't ask, RUN!!!" I shouted.

The dogs began running after her....

OKay, my characters disappeared . . . someone pull him back in maybe?

Wesley


I turned around quickly and saw the two dogs, or werewolves or whatever they were. Being past nuts I couldn't control myself, before I knew it those two dogs were lieing motionless beside me, the smell of burning flesh was strong after just moments.

"Wes?" went the questioning and shocked voice of Cody. His eyes were full of surprise and I hadn't even noticed he'd come down from the tree, he was right beside me. "Wha- How- Why did you come looking for me?" he asked, anger in his voice.

"You honestly think I came looking for you?" I shouted at him.

"Why else would you be out here?" Cody said, narrowing his eyes at me. I laughed hysterically.

"My dear Cody, I'm going after Zachariah!" I screamed at him....



Erin


"Where's Wesley?" I asked as I awoke from hearing a screaming noise. Brahn and Frost looked at each other and I was confused. "Where's Wesley?" I asked again, well, more demanded. "And Cody."

They didn't answer me.



*I'm tired of having three characters so I'm going to have Addison kill Erin in my next post*

~Whisper~

I rushed into the forest, already debating on who I would kill. The werewolf girl, Frost I think her name was, sounded good. I saw Sunny in the distance. He waved and started to jog towards me. Then, he stopped and fell into the deep white snow, now turning crimson. There was an arrow sticking out of his back. I screamed in horror and rushed towards him. He was gone, forever. I remember him telling me once that he was immune to my kiss. It wouldn't hurt to try. I eagerly pressed my lips to his frozen ones. There was no movement. I turned only to see River emmerge from the canopy of the trees, with an Oak bow in his hands. He was soon beside me.

"My God. Whisper, I-I didn't mean t-to kill him," River said. I turned at his presence and stood to his level. I took my hand and slapped it across his face. He fell to the ground with his cheek busted open, pulsing blood.

"You bastard!" I screamed at him. I felt the wet frozen tears run down my cheeks, both of them. (First time of Whisper showing emotion).

"You best leave before its worse than a damn cheek thats bleeding! I tear you apart, starting in your mind," I screamed at him. At this point I felt another prescence among me, a shadow, smiling. I thought up the worst dream I could think of, but I couldn't find it in me to put it in him. I fell to my knee's, my eyes were pumping tears, as my heart pumps blood. I watched River stand and run. I watched as Darkness ran after him roaring in rage. I drug myself to Sunny's body and lied my head upon his chest. I couldn't believe it, he was dead. He's gone.

"Finally. after all these years that we have suffered trying to bring you down. You are now on your knee's. You should be ashamed of yourself Whisper. You're a Shadow. Shadow's put things like these behind them. But you loved him. Not even I can watch someone I love go down. That is why normal Shadow's don't love. But your not normal, are you Whisper? No, you just had to be special. This will be the last time that you- that you participate in the Night Gamesss," I shuddered at the sound of a Shadow's hiss. Especially Addison's hiss. I turned to swing at her, but I was weak without Sunny. He was the power source of my abbilities, two opposites attracted. I was soon thrust into the air slung against a tree. I hit the tree, and it popped my back. I screamed in pain. I looked up to see Addison above me. She grabbed my neck and lifted me up. I tried to kick her, but she kept on turning into her Shadow form. She threw me into the snow and placed her boot on my neck. I was choking, gasping for air, for my last breaths. She puled a knife and sliced my stomach. I tasted blood enter my mouth, pulse out of my mouth. That was from the tree injury. I was beaten. I felt the pain in my stomach enlarge to a sting. I screamed, but not a sound came out. I heard a roar. Darkness, I thought. I refused to close my eyes. I tried so hard to hold on. Then, I heard a scream and a growl. I looked above me to see Darkness. I tried to smile at his prescence. He dug his teeth into the hood of my cloak and threw me on his back. I felt the wind in my face, cold and stinging the tears that had so elegantly ran down my cheeks. I held onto Darkness and felt his soft fur. Then I fell into a sleep, a very deep sleep.

Brahn

Brahn bolted out of the cave with Frost and Shinar, trying to to get as far away from everyone as they could. "So the killing of the other players begins." He remarked, looking back at Frost but losing his balance on a hidden patch of ice. Falling and sliding, he soon ran into the small boy that had watched when he first retrieved his blades. The boy was poised to kill, a dagger in one hand. "Woah woah, my name is Brahn, what's yours?" The boy didn't answer, but instead tears formed in his eyes, an he tightened his grip on the knife. The boy looked to be only around thirteen years of age, but he was short for his age. Brahn slowly stood up, noticing Frost still had his blades. Taking a step backwards, he slowly began to reach for one of his blades when the boy lunged. In one swift movement, he grabbed the hilt of one of his blades and rammed it into the boys neck, decapitating him. Brahn watched as they boy's head and body separated, a spitting image of what he had once done to his sisters sticking in his head. "What have I done?"

Erin


I watched as Brahn broke down onto the ground and starting crying, I looked at the boy whom he had just murdered infront of me, a boy who couldn't have been any older than myself. I did the first thing that came into my mind, I ran.

"ERIN!" Frost screamed, but it was to late, I was a wolf and running at full speed. The next thing I knew I'd run into Addison, the same girl who had taken me and Wesley from the cave, she was smiling at me with her evil smile and standing so casually beside a tree.

"Well hello there, child" she said and took a few steps toward me, I growled at her, baring my teeth. "Hmmm... Zachariah has no more use for you, your death has been ordered imediantly. Good bye" she waved at me and then I felt my body litteraly burning...

NOTICE: Erin is dead, sorry, couldn't take having three characters and Erin wans't significant to the story anymore.

Cody

"Ok, ok." I held my hands up in surrender. "Breathe." I joked her face was turning a Look-at-me Christmas red.

*i dont no what to do now, i killed sunny.... i really dont no what to do*

Wesley


I turned to look at Cody, anger showing horribly in my eyes. I turned around, "Why are you tyring to make jokes?" I asked questioningly and then the sound of screaming broke through the silence of the forest. The scream sounded like... Erin. "Erin?" I questioned myself, speaking in a whisper.
