The Night Games

Cody

The scream brought out something in me, I heard her say my name again.

"Cody.... Cody... Cody... ody.... dy....dy...." The voice played in my head. "Kill her.... Kill her... Kill her... Her... Her..." I stared at the ground wanting to just take my enitre head off. I closed my eyes tightly.

"Cody." My eyes flew open to stare at a very scared Wesley. "I think that was Erin."

I stared blankly at her....

Wesley


"Cody? Whats wrong with you?" I asked, confused and crazy. I grumbled and turned and ran for the screaming that sounded so much like Erin, it wasn't long before that screaming stopped and the hollow laugh of Addison played in my head, I ran faster.

"Erin!" I screamed as I saw the body laying motionless on the ground, tears streamed from my eyes and I started screaming, "No! WHY HER? Why any of us?".

I stared blankly at the floor... I shook my head Wesley was gone...

~Whisper~

I woke. Darkness was beside me, awake. He purred and licked my cheek gently. I felt a warm rag over my waist where I was thrown so hard against the tree. It felt good. I turned to the rag and saw a hand. I followed the hand to the chest. It was bare. I had just realized that the rag was a shirt. I continued up the chest to the face. River, I thought to myself. He looked at me and leaned to kiss my forehead.

"Do you feel any better, Whisper?" River asked. I nodded. I had just remembered what happend. Why I was beaten up. Why I was here. What I didn't understand was why River was here. I had slapped him bad. I looked at his cheek as he turned to put his shirt in some more water. There was a scar. It was very long. He turned and noticed that I was staring at his scar.

"It's alright. I needed that," River said smiling. I didn't understand what was good about it. River was all I had left. I needed him. I traced my finger against the scar on his face. He cringed as if it hadn't fully healed and it still hurt. He put the warm, wet shirt on my waist again. I had just realized that I had a shirt on. I jerked my head up to make sure I wasn't naked. I looked at my shirt. It had been torn all around, including the sleeves. My pants were no more. Instead I had a skirt. It wasn't long. It had a diaganal affect to it. The skirt had four strips. All he did to make it was tear my pant legs apart.

"You have clothes on. You were hurt bad so I had to make your clothes small in length," River said.

"How long was I out?" I asked.

"You have been out for two weeks. I didn't think you were going to wake, but you were still breathing so you had to eventually." River smiled and moved my hair out of my face. He came down again and kised my cheek. I turned my head and our lips were inches apart.

Wesley


Erin was gone and I didn't know what to do, but I couldn't stay here especially after the screaming, it was sure to have attracted someone. I took the body from the ground and kissed Erin's forhead then sat her on the ground, leaning against a tree, it looked as if she was asleep.

"Good bye, Erin." I whispered and jumped up into the tree, decided that traveling that way would be safer than on the ground. I've gotta go find Cody again, I thought to myself and returned to where I'd left him, the aqua eyed boy was in the same posisiton I'd left him in. "Cody... Erin is dead" I announced and jumped down from the tree, approaching him I touched my hand to his arm. "Cody?".

Cody

I stared at the floor for what seemed like forever.

"Cody..." She said. I shook my head, I retained by falling on my ass and putting my head between my knees from throwing up.

"No! I won't hurt her!!!" I yelled. I stared up at Wesley's strucken face.

"What?" she asked.

"Wesley I-" I stared up at her, it was Wesley's voice I heard in my head....

Wesley


I didn't know what was going on, but I didn't like it. I was already nuts and hysterical from Erin's death, but now Cody was going crazy which made it all worse.

"Cody? Whats wrong?" I asked him, backing away, scared and ready to run.

Cody

I didn't know, and I DIDN'T want to hurt her.

"Just.... Just stay away from me ok?" I asked. I pushed a hand to my forehead, I started seeing my mothers bloddly face. I pressed my palm to my forehead and winced closing my eyes and I screamed.

Wesley

I did what he asked me to do, I stayed away, but I didn't leave him. I only watched from high in a tree as he screamed into the night, the scream wouldn't attract any unwanted visitors because this scream would even scare Night Keeper.

"We've got to get out of here..." I whispered and jumped from tree to tree, I made up my mind again and this time I wasn't stopping. Zachariah was going to pay for what he did, as would Addison, in fact, she was going to be first.

Cody

I sat there my ass in the snow and my head between my knees. I yelled and yelled. I saw a cliff, it led down to a frozen lake. 'Don't even think about it.' Wesley's voice said in my head, only it wasn't Wesley talking to me, it was someone else using her voice. 'You have to KILL her. And you must get away' the voice purred.

"Get outta my head!" I screamed. I stood up, feeling like I was drunk so tipsy, I looked up, knowing my eyes once aqua turning crimson red, I looked up at Wesley in the tree she squated in I growled at her letting her see my wolf fangs.

"Cody... Why are you looking at me like that?" She gasped.

"How's THIS for getting away?" I growled and jumped from the cliff.

"CODY!!!!" Wesley's scream followed me.

The moment I jumped of, I was human but before I hit the snow covered ground, I was a wolf, i took off running.

Wesley


I looked down from the cliff only to see Cody's wolf form running, I sighed in relief and pursued him, jumping from rock to rock until I finally hit the ground. But I stoped because I saw her, she was there, waiting for me.

"Hide and seek is over" Addison said through a laugh.

"What? Is that another game in this? Hide and seek? You killed Erin witch, and you're going to pay" I said and lunged for her but she easily dodged it.

"I've been ordered not to kill you" she said and kicked me in the stomach, her feet were hard as rocks and I started caughing up blood. "But I was told to deliver you a message" she said, leaning her head down to my ears. "You have a choice, darling. Erin can be brought back, but only if you kill that Cody your's. Afterwards, you and Erin can leave the games and go back to your lives in that filth realm of yours". She laughed and kicked me once more then vanished. I layed on the ground, bleeding and in pain. Yet another choice I made up.

"Cody!" I shouted out and got up from the ground then limped to the direction Cody had ran off to. "CODY!" I shouted again but then fell back into the snow, I blacked out then...

Cody

"You know you want to kill her, do it, I DARE you." I sqated in wolf form and choked on another scream as I saw Wesley appear before me, except this Wesley had a darkness in her, an anger, betrayel in her eyes and evil in her soul, I blocked out completely everything

**I am moving so I will be gone for a long time, maybe kill of my character but I shall be back in the sb don't let it die while I'm away!**

I gulped hard as River came closer to my face. He tilted his head and the funniest thing happend. Darkness stuck his tongue between mine and River's lips. I wanted to laugh but I knew it would hurt. Darkness growled at River as if to say "She is mine back off" and then Darkness walked away and turned around staring at River. Then he curled up his body in the spot and kept his head aimed for RIver.

"He's watching you," I said hoarsely. I was loosing my voice. River looked at me and burst into laughter. I didn't understand what was so funny, but you know, whatever.
