I'll make a second character as well...

Name: Tyson Cromwell
Age: 25
Position: Intern
Appearance: 6'0" tall, muscular, african-american, short black hair, thin gotee (basically using Shemar Moore as the play by, you are welcome to google him to get a good look at him).
Biography: Tyson is pretty quiet about his past. Where he was born is rather a mystery to most people. He throws his entire being into doing anything he loves, like medicine--and girls. He'll flirt with pretty much everyone. His goal is to eventually be a neurosurgeon.

*starting! Others can always join in!*

Sydney Parker

Sydney yawned as she walked down the sidewalk towards Columbia Mercy Hospital. It was well early in the morning, and a light jacket kept the cool morning breeze off her arms. She took a sip of her first morning coffee, she always picked one up on the way and it was usually gone by the time she reached work so she'd make another in the lounge at CMH.

Today was new-intern day. Everytime she thought about that fact, it was a mix between predicting much more stress than normal and hilarity associated with her past as an intern. They had some good times, but it seemed so far away--as if she had been a resident now for a decade or two. Two years can go slower than she ever thought they could.

The automatic doors flew open before her and she entered the hospital, jogging up the stairs and to the lounge. She nodded hello to a few passing residents on the way and found her locker, tossing her bag and jacket in and pulling on her blue scrub top over a black tank top. Grabbing her clipboard quickly, she closed her locker turning to leave.

Beside her she would find Ben Morrow, tying a white sneaker and smiling up to her, "New Intern Day."

Sydney chuckled softly, "Oh I know, excited?"

Ben smirked, "Those were two long, miserable years. Of course I'm excited!"

Just then the door swung open and the chief resident stood before them, hollering, "What are you doing in here? We've got 8 new children scared shitless standing in the hallway with no direction because I can give them to my residents because...my residents are there. Let's go!" She popped back out of the room and Sydney and Ben rolled their eyes and made their way out to join the group.

There was obviously a division between the two groups, the interns on one side silent as could be and the residents on the other side whispering and giggling with each other--the chief in the middle.

The chief took control, "Alright, interns. For the next two years, you will be following around the residents of this hospital. You will do what they say when they say to and only if they tell you to do it. If you have a question, ask your resident, do not ask me. Do not do any medical procedure--not so much as taking a temperature--without the permission of your resident doctor. You will be divided into groups, and do not ask to change because it will not happen." There was a pause as the chief flipped a page on the clipboard, the interns still silent as could be.

"Alright then. Martin, Casey and Ledge--you will be with Dr. Parker," a swift point to Sydney allowed them to know their assignment but they did not move, "Castrovaci, West and Newman--you will be with Dr. Morrow," again, no movement, "Laudra and Cromwell--Dr. Jones."

The residents stood and nodded, knowing their placement as they stared at the chief. But, they did not move forward to find their resident. Finally the chief was fed up, "Well, go!" There was a smile as they moved, "Oh, and welcome to CMH" and the chief was gone.

Sydney checked her clipboard of names and stats as the new interns approached her, "Alright, my name is Sydney Parker. I am a second year resident and you are my new guinea pigs." She smiled, just to let them know she wasn't a complete hardass, "If you have any questions you may ask me. Please please please, don't hesitate to ask. Which one of you is Annalise Martin?" Annalise raised a short hand, "Okay, and Sugar-Beth Casey?" Sydney raised a eyebrow to the name as Sugar-Beth raised a hand, "Yea, you will be called Casey. And Brian Ledger I presume?" Sydney glanced to Brian, who nodded his head.

"Alright then, now that we all know each other...should we get started?"

****sorry I made a typo on her last name it was suppose to be Carey**** EDITED!!!****

Sugar Beth

"It's Carey." I signed.... Oh God, that was me.

Haha great, dictatorship, of course Sydney was trying... but at what exactly? I hoped that I was just seeing this all wrong, I wasn't nervious, and plus with a name like Sugar Beth. Of course I was a daddy's little girl until he died, so I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, meaning I was rich, until the man died and hide his stupid fortune, now this is what I get, my last name is Carey and yes, I do hate it. I didn't want to be called by last name it was like mocking my first name.

"First days are such a pain in the...." I muttered.

I started around trying to make friends, and trust me, you can never have too many of those. I smiled, many people told me I looked famous when I smiled. All my friends in high school had envied me. They were kind of dissapointed when I wanted to work.... well here. They all yelled and screamed at me if they had my beauty that they'd use it for modeling or acting or something. But I was full of suprises. I walked around and smiled at everyone while passing following Sydney.

"Hello sir, I'm Zoe, Zoe Laudra." She said quickly.

"I'm Tyson Cromwell" The man said right after Zoe.

**I think I'll make a new male character, since there doesn't seem to be very many, and we're gonna want at least a couple if we want to have any romance happening in this. Also, I'm not sure how to post my first post (and I'm in the middle of some things with a friend so I'm low on time, so I'll come back and post that later (feel free to bring me in if you want).**

Name: Evan Kensington
Age: 28
Position: Resident for Plastic Surgery [if that's all right]
Appearance: Image
(The one on the right)
Personality: Is pretty quiet - most don't know him very well outside of work. He's really close to the people he works with though, and much more open to them than to anyone else. He's very into his work. More to be learned in SB
Other: Up for Love.

**I might make another character a bit later. What exactly happens on the first day?**

Ben Morrow

He smiled a little. His first new-intern day as a resident. He felt like he had when he'd started his senior year and seen the freshmen arriving. He looked over his three interns, somewhat surprised to see one of them in a wheelchair. Well, it's always good to see someone who won't let anything get in their way. But all girls? God, I'm gonna have a difficult two years on my hands. "As Sydney just told her interns, you guys are basically guinea pigs for the next two years. Now, that sounds pretty bad, but it really just means you'll be doing everything that I can't be bothered to do, don't worry, it's the same for every intern." He flicked through some of the pages on his clipboard, eventually finding the one with their information on it, "Alright, let's see...Kelly Castrovaci?" He nodded as she raised her hand, "Coraline Newman?" Again he let her raise her hand before nodding, even though the notes beside her name pointed out that she was the one in the wheelchair. He turned to the last one, "And that would make you Lilian West?"

She grimaced a little, "I prefer Lily."

"Alright then, Lily. Do either of you prefer a different name to what I have here?" He asked Kelly and Coraline, tapping the clipboard for effect.

Coraline raised her hand, "Corrie."

He nodded, making a note of their names on the clipboard. "I'm Ben Morrow, first year resident in Neurosurgery and Psychiatry. Anyway, we'd better get started. First days are always difficult," He smirked a little, "So the sooner you all get used to it the easier it'll be."

Corrie

The second glances and long stares from the other interns didn't bother me. I hadn't been bothered by stares for nearly three years now. Dr. Morrow went through introductions with us and then we were off at a brisk pace. I wheeled along behind the others. I looked around as we walked through the busy halls. Nurses were bustling around carrying needles and clip boards and lost patients stood in the most inconveelnient places.

One of the nurses stopped Dr. Morrow and the rest of us followed suit. I looked down at my Finding Nemo scrubs absentmindedly then back up at Dr. Morrow. He was rather attractive and the nurse he was talking to kept staring at him while he read. Boredom kicked in quickly as they continued to talk. I rested my head in my hand and sighed. I had much too high expectations for my first day. Disappointment was the natural reaction but I was almost relieved to be bored. It was better than being overwhelmed.

I started making up stories about the people around me, a regular past time for me.

Just a few questions... Is Dr. Morrow taken and where do the interns live or does it matter?

>> It isn't a school, interns can live wherever they want. They pay for it. So, at home with the parents or an apartment or townhouse or house...whatever works.

Lily West
I was horribly relieved when the chief finally came to tell us where to do, I had felt the rift between the new students and the residents like a gaping hole in the hospital corridor - unbreakable, impassable. I had stayed huddled with the other interns, measuring myself against them in a way that reminded me of first days at school, at university. I wondered what they thought of me. Most of them were female, I was dreading that would be so. While most of them looked like normal people, just smiling nervously at each other, I couldn't help wondering what was hidden underneath all that. There was always some story behind a job like this.

I noticed a tall blonde beaming radiantly at everyone, introducing herself as Sugar-Beth, walking round making friends. I shuffled back a little, disturbed by how open she was. I found myself backed up against the right side wall of the corridor, near two other interns - an african-american guy and a dark haired girl around my height - making polite conversation. I half smiled at him, glad there was at least one male to buffer the tense female atmosphere.

"I'm Zoe," the woman said, smiling nervously.
"Lily," I offered, "this is pretty tense..."
"Oh, English!" she smiled more in earnest this time, a conversation topic had been found. I bit my lip a little, yes well...it had to be done some time.
"Yeah, I only got here two weeks ago."
The guy there held out a hand, his face friendly in a way that I found a little disconcerting.
"Tyson Cromwell, nice to meet you."
I started to relax a little, I guess maybe they won't be so bad here...before we could continue our conversation the chief bounded round the corner, shouting and making noise.

I ended up in a group with two other interns, Castrovaci and Newman under the supervision of a Dr Morrow. I followed Morrow down what seemed like endless corridors as he shouted instructions behind him. I sort of tuned out to him, one hospital is the same as any other, it's all about how not to treat the patient in a million subtle ways. The other interns I was with were pretty, one of them wheelchair bound which made me second glance at first. She kept up with the resident probably better than me or Newman, people made way for her or she swept and twisted around them, forcing us to jog a little to keep up. She had cutey scrubs on, I wondered vaguely if that was allowed.

Newman, who had said her name was Corrie, grinned at me a little bit. I smiled back, unwilling almost to make a friend of her until I knew what she was about, but then even more unwilling to mess up this chance. I had spent most of school and college waiting for someone to turn up who wasn't a total idiot and it hadn't happened - maybe the only way forward was to take what was given and be thankful.

I thought of Jack then, my thoughts teetering on the edge of the minefield that had become us, then fleeing back as Dr Morrow halted abruptly and turned back to the three of us, an expression of extreme boredom on his face that I suspected was put on to frighten us. Even with that he was quite cute, with hair curling at the ends in a way he probably hated and couldn't control - it was charming.
"This is the coffee room," he announced, "this place is gold, free coffee for when you're too busy to sleep and uncomfortable back-destroying chairs for when you need to, use it wisely."
He swept off again, I followed hurriedly, thinking I could really do with a coffee right now. A big one to keep me up through this running around, the time lag was still getting to me.

***Hey Bella, is it okay if Kelly has Evan, even though he's a little bit older?***

Kelly

I was paired with two girls named Lily and Corrie, who was confined to a wheelchair. All the rooms seemed almost identical to me. Suddenly, while he was in mid-sentence, I tapped the doctor on the shoulder, making him jump slightly.

"Ummm, sir, I mean, Dr. Morrow," I stuttered, as he turned to flash a large grin at me. "what kind of work will we be doing? For instance, will we be doing things like read to the children sometimes?" I asked, failing to hide the eagerness in my voice.

He chuckled softly. "Well, it just depends on the day and what we need to do. You might be changing or airing out bedsheets, you could be wheeling someone out into the lobby, you could be doing any small job for us. Even occasionally reading to the ill children," he said.

"Oh, okay, now I see what we'll probably be doing," I said nervously. It was going to be a long day, I could tell.
I will review for you! PM about it if you need one!

Okay, here's my male character:

Name: Daniel Aster.
Age: 28
Position: Resident patient. Daniel is a hypochondriac and almost always at the hospital for one reason or another. The trouble is, he has reason to be a hypochondriac. Daniel is accident prone and victim to a poor heritage of diseases and illnesses.
Job: Daniel owns a chain of private hospitals that previously belonged to his father. He thinks of it as the other half of his heritage; bad health being the first half. The reason he seeks help at the CMH instead of one of his own hospitals is unknown.
Appearance: Daniel is tall with chestnut hair, an oval shaped face, bright blue eyes and a muscular, mildly tanned body. He eats healthily and exercises regularly in an attempt to stay healthy.
Personality: Surprisingly, Daniel is the positive type on the outside, always joking and laughing about his condition. But inside he's scared and worries every moment of the day about what he might catch next. Another defensive side of his personality is that he flirts with anything that moves. Male or female he really doesn't care and while he's attracted more to some than others, it's only natural for him to flirt with everyone.
Relationship history: He's actually had few serious relationships, his most recent having been with Sydney Parker.
Background: His mother died of cancer when he was nine and not much later his father was hospitalised in an asylum, driven mad with grief, refusing to accept his wife's death. Daniel was taken in by his aunt who died of lung disease when he was thirteen. Daniel then spent time living with Abierto Lyndoski, his godfather and trustee of his father's estates.

Daniel

I looked up at the hospital that felt as much like home as anywhere ever had and strode casually to the reception desk, pressing the bell with a wide grin.

"Is there a bed with my name on it, gorgeous?" I asked of the stocky, deliciously blond receptionist who looked up with a bemused smile.

"I sure hope not," he replied, scanning the list. "But apparently so. What are you in for this time?" I smirked and leaned my arms against the desk.

"Possible tumour in my left lung," I said. "The doctors are being kind enough to check it out." The receptionist, Martin, whistled.

"You've hit gold this time, Danny boy," he joked and pointed down the hall. "You're in ward three, bed two. Take care of yourself."

"I intend to," Daniel called as he headed to the room, already dressed in patient clothes and carrying a small rucksack over one shoulder.

"Hello Daniel," a familiar voice greeted him as he rounded the corner.

I wondered why we put villains in our stories when we have plenty of them in real life; then I realized that maybe we wanted stories where the good guy wins.
