Columbia Mercy Hospital

Why? I don't know. It sounded like fun =D

Setting:

Hospital. Washington, D.C.

Plot:

There basically isn't one. If you've ever seen Chicago Hope, E.R. or Grey's Anatomy...it's exactly the same kind of drama only it's our own creation instead of the television writers.

Rules:

All the basic ones, No God-modding, etc. as well as all posts need to be at least two paragraphs. Hospital's are dramatic, be dramatic in your posts! Great time to practice writing! :]
Also, all characters must be at least 24 years old (starting at interns, if you choose to be a head of a department or something, obviously they would be older...I'm saying at least 30 for them). Also, I know these types of things seem to get a bit racey at times, but keep all sex scenes out please. Just do the really lame thing where you say "they slept together" and move on to the next day! All the positions do not have to be filled to start, anyone coming in late can just jump in or incredible late can be called a "transfer".

Name: Sydney Parker

Age: 27

Position: 2nd Year Resident - Pediactric Specialty

Appearance: 5'4", small build, long dark brown hair with large, natural curls. Tan, but naturally (doesn't do the tanning bed thing). Crystal blue eyes.

Biography: Sydney was born in D.C. and has lived there her whole life. When she entered college, she only went for the medical degree because her father wanted her too. But, she decided to stick with it anyway even though she hates science, only because she loves children and being able to help them in ways most can't. But, if she could do that without medicine she would be up for that too. She is currently renting a small house a few miles from the hospital. Is not currently involved with anyone. She has had several relationships within the hospital staff, her most recent (and current) being with Evan Kensington (they have been keeping it pretty private) and her most substantial being her previous engagement to constant patient Daniel Aster. Her mother is Modesty Keating, the Chief of Surgery at CMH, who pretty much left her family when her older sister, Katie, died in a car accident (Sydney was 11). Des and Sydney's father divorced shortly after, and the mother and daughter haven't had a good relationship since.

If someone would like to be a sibling or something, I'm cool with that just let me know!

Appearance: 5'7" curvy figure, short auburn hair with blond highlights. Porcelain skinned with wide almond-brown eyes.
Biography: Annalise was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania until her parents died and she had to move to Washington D.C. to live with her grandmother. She was sixteen at the time and her little sister Charlena or Charlie for short was nine. When their grandmother died, she left Lise and Charlie her house and ever since then Lise has been raising her little sister. Lise always wanted to be a surgeon because she was tired of people dying on her. So after college she applied for an internship at Columbia Mercy, hoping to fulfill her dreams.

Position: First Year Resident - Neurosurgery and Psychiatry Specialty (Is that alright?)

Appearance: 5'11" and skinny, with thick brown hair that gets just a little curly at the ends. He has fair skin and brown eyes.

Biography: Ben was born in Boston, and went to College there to study neurosurgery in the hope of being able to help people like his younger brother, who had had Rasmussen's Encephalitis, a very rare kind of epilepsy. The surgery had left him paralysed in half his body because of the surgery, and Ben wanted to find a way of operating on patients like his brother and helping them to a full recovery.

Position: Intern (she wants to work in some sort of physical improvement thing, she wants to perform surgeries to help people walk or move again/easier..I don't know what it is called-if there even is something like that)
Appearance: Slender, long dark hair, green eyes, she is in a wheel chair. her scrubs always have some fun print on them.
Biography: When Corrie was in ninth grade she was in a car accident while her friend's mom was driving her home. The accident rendered her paralized from the waist down and she was never a normal teenager after that. She stopped talking to her friends and eating and she became very depressed. Eventually she realized there was nothing she could do about her paralasis, but she could help others. She was very smart and moved from Chicago to D.C. to be an intern.
Other: She has never had a boyfriend and is not involved with anyone, and she doesn't know it but she wants to be invovled with someone.

Good to see this started, love. What's the rules on multiple characters then? I can be perfectly content with one for now but I wouldn't mind another later on.

Position: Head of Plastic Surgery
Appearance: Her face is a porcelain white, often covered with quite a thick layer of foundation. It is this way because nearly all of her face is made up of scar tissue and skin grafts. Her eyes are green and she is bald but covers this with a short, blond wig. She has a trim figure and is of an average height for her age.
Biography: Roxanne decided to study medicine from an early age, intrigued by science in every form and interested in helping people. As her studies progressed, she found that she had little idea of which area of expertise she wanted to enter in and started as an intern at twenty-four with few plans. And then the accident occurred. While she was living with her boyfriend, Aidan, Roxanne's house was burgled while they both slept and one of the perpetrators dropped a cigarette upon the carpet on the way out and a fire spread. The fire consumed the house, killing Aidan and causing severe damage to Roxanne's body. The plastic surgery to correct it was a slow and painful process, taking many sessions before it was completed. The trauma she suffered at the damage to her looks was vast and the relief of the plastic surgery pushed Roxanne into choosing to specialise in the area.
Personality: Roxanne is a strong willed, distant person who's very methodical about her job and relationships.

biography: Sugar-Beth was born in L.A. And moved from foster home to foster home, she's now an intern and loves the people she works with. She is single and doesn't want to be. She had been married in Las Vegas once but she was so drunk she didn't know who she married and then they divorced..... kind of

Personality: She's very witty, always sharp, she loves helping people out, if you ever butt heads with someone it'll be her, if she doesn't know you she'll be mean but she'll eventually warm up. Always hates the first days at anything. She hates when people chew with there mouth open she finds it repulsive, she can stay up for long periods of time, and could sleep forever, she is always listening to music.

I mean, she can be a nurse if you want but she won't get much contact with anyone because interns, residents, etc. pretty much move together and only interact with themselves and those higher than them? It's up to you, but just so you know!

Appearance: Isabella is very plain. Average brown hair and brown eyes, average body size. She likes to act out there and different though, which is what tends to draw people to her.

Biography: She was abused as a child so she does her best to help other children.
