*Sorry guys, I was at sleepaway camp. So sad it's over. I'm going on a trip for my acting studio to NY, so I won't be here for a week. Take care of Helio without me, 'kay? Make me proud. *

I looked at Simon. "Sorry. I should probably get going. It's been a really busy day." I felt reluctant to leave everyone behind, as they were so new to these mythical thingies.

"That's okay," he said. Then he smiled. "I'll probably see you around. It's a small island." And with a wink, he was off with a pack of other humans.

Just then, I spotted Lavain by the beach, next to a tallish guy and another human girl.

"Hey, Lav," I said, walking toward her.

"Oh, hey Delia." She looked at me.

I finally reached them. "Who are these people?" I asked Lav in Sanskrit, because I knew 'these people' could not possibly be fluent in Sanskrit, and Lav and I were.

Lav nodded nonchalantly and said in English, "These are Apollo and Pandora. New arrivals."

"Hello. It really is nice to meet you. I'm Delia." I shook Apollo's hand and smiled at Pandora.

"This really is a peculiar island. I've never seen fairies before," Pandora noted.

"Yeppers," Lavain answered peppily. "It's not all strange, though, and the drachea masillis only attack once a year. They're not stupid. Even we fairies and elves act pretty human sometimes." She winked.

Apollo seemed strangely comfortable. I was surprised.

"I think we should be getting to the city. Everyone needs a meal and some housing for the night." I motioned for them to follow me.

"Why just for the night?" Pandora asked confusedly.

"Because we need to assign homes for all you new arrivals. We always have extras built for these kinds of things. Your cruise ship was pretty small, so I think we should have enough for at least three quarters of you. The rest will board with other Heliopians."

Apollo responded, "You seem to have been expecting this."

"Well, we're always on our guard and prepared."
"Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings."

Your hesitation suggests you are trying to protect my feelings. However, since I have none, I would prefer you to be honest. An artist's growth depends upon accurate feedback.
