**It's okay. And sorry I've been gone...**

Drake

I nodded as we followed Tegan and Jenna, walking at a somewhat fast pace. I followed their example, and took Alana's hand. I knew she would want as much comfort as possible.

Tegan

We found Sam on the streets, looking around with a puzzled look on his face. I sighed; at least he was safe, alive...

"Sam!" Jenna ran toward him, tentatively tackling him. I saw a glimmer of hunger in his gaze, but he managed to supress it.

"Are you all right?" I asked, coming up beside them.

"Yeah. Who hit me?"

"That would be Alana," Jenna snorted. I looked at her quizzically. She would have to tell me that story later...

Sam-

When I woke up, I was alone. I wondered where the others were. My head hurt. The apartment looked a mess.

With a groan, I remembered. I swore very loudly, hoping Alana and Drake weren't upstairs.

Of course they weren't, I thought.

I decided to try and got to find them, to apologize. That way, they might trust me a bit more.

Eventually I found the four of them, wandering back to their apartment. Jenna came and hugged me. Tegan watched warily, obviously worried I'd attack again.

"We should probably go," she said. "It'll be light soon."

I nodded. "Jen, I'm so sorry, I-"

"I know it's hard," she said quietly. "But Tegan manages it."

There was something in her tone when she said his name that made me frown. Guys were usually flings for my sister, she never took stuff like that seriously. Anyway, to my knowledge, nothing was going on between her and Tegan.

With a shock, I wondered if they got together would they make me move out?

I was still surprised that Jenna wasn't forcing me to leave after what I did.

"Come on," Tegan said, as if on cue. He still looked furious with me. Guess that would be a battle for a different day.

Drake

We all settled in Jack's apartment, crashing in various locations. I had Alana next to me, Tegan and Jenna looked as if they were trying hard not to touch each other, and Sam sat in the farthest corner, looking uneasy.

Jack looked at everyone.

"Now, what?"

Jack St. John-

They all came back and ended up in different parts of the main room of the apartment. The new one, Sam, looked uneasy. There was evident blood lust there but I wasn't going to pry.

I was reluctant to tell the others about the plans for London, they had been through a lot today already. I had actually been in the process of packing when they arrived. I hastily shoved the half packed suitcases under my bed. I didn't know any of these people too well so I wasn't sure how they would react to me wanting to go to London at this point in time.

It was obvious that they were all tired, and there were many small battles raging on inside this war. When everyone looked settled enough I asked, "Now what?" As if I didn't already have a hidden agenda.

"Well I can only assume we are safe for now," Drake responded keeping Alana close, "We might as well get rest and regroup later on." I nodded and left them to sleep. I went to my room and finished packing before laying down and getting some rest myself.

Jenna-

"We should go back downstairs," I said with a yawn. "I'm tired."

Drake shook his head. "I'm sorry, but if... if Sam pounces again, we need him here so we can bring him down."

Sam shook his head fervently, and I bit my lip. "I won't," he promised. "I promise." He was shaking with the force with which he was saying it.

I rubbed my eyes. It wasn't a lie that I was tired. "Then sort something you guys. I'm too sleepy." I yawned again for emphasis.

"Yeah we will," Tegan said. "You go back down, that way he can't get near you."

I nodded and shot him a smile in gratitude. Then I grimaced at Sam.

"Maybe you can come down anyway," I said, trying again, looking at his face. "Come on," I said, as Drake and Tegan both opened their mouths. "He said he wasn't going to attack and I trust him. And Tegan will be there this time too," I said. "If there's a problem we'll shout."

Drake nodded and the three of us hurried down the stairs into my apartment.

"I'll go to bed then," Sam said. "It doesn't bother me so much when I'm asleep. I have the most awful dreams though," he shuddered. "But I'll be fine."

"Goodnight," I said. "And sorry," I added quietly. I wanted to hug him but in his present state that probably wasn't a good idea.

"Don't apologize. I should be the one doing that," he said, meeting my eyes. I nodded once more.

He went into his bedroom, leaving Tegan and I standing alone in the living room.

**Go ahead and spill them! I'm drawing blanks!**

Tegan

I sighed after a moment, finally looking at Jenna. She was so gorgeous, yet so tired. I was proud of my strong sense of self-control, or else I would have taken her a long time ago.

"Are you okay?" I finally asked, voice very sincere. I even let my pose and expression soften to almost affection. After all, that was how I felt.

Jenna-

"Yeah," I said, sitting down. "I'm just tired, is all." I looked up at him and smiled. "Believe it or not, we don't all have superhuman vampire strength."

He sat down beside me and shook his head. "I'm not as strong as you think."

I frowned. His eyes bore into mean. "What do you mean?" I asked nervously.

He broke his gaze and I looked away as well.

For some reason, I felt an urge to reach out and grab his hand as I had done earlier, but I knew I shouldn't. Tegan wasn't like that. He didn't go in for the whole touchy-feely thing, and I still felt like he was hiding something from me. Sometimes I thought... but then he would be short, or blunt, and I knew I was kidding myself. I was just a friend, I supposed, and if that was how he wanted it to stay... I wasn't ever going to force him into something.

I shot him another glance. He was looking away towards the door. "What are you thinking about?" I asked, a smile in my voice in an attempt to lighten the mood.

*so I'm pretty sure this is a territorial war right? I'm not sure. But Jack and Joseph are going to london, something is going to happen there..though I won't say what yet. Gael, the rougue leader is going to try to pick apart the breed..the others can come to London or not it doesn't matter right now I think..sorry it is disorganized ideas.*

Jack St. John-

I awoke before any of the others, just as the sun was setting. I carried my suitcases down to my car and threw them in the trunk. I went back up to my apartment and left a note saying that I would be back later and they were welcome to anything they could find in the house. Then I went over to Joseph's. Joseph had a lot of money and a mansion of a house.

The security gaurd buzzed me in at the gate and as I was walking in a girl was walking out clutching her head and with a bandage on her neck. Joseph didn't have blood lust, to a point. He could control himself when feeding off of..donors as he called them. He never sucked a girl dry anymore. He didn't like killing the inocent. Sometimes he did kill for fun, but only "bad people." Mostly escaped convicts or murderers or rapists.

All of this was one of the reasons the Breed was hesitant to trust him, and me-because of my affiliation with him. But we were muscle they needed. I usually got my blood from a vampire friend who worked at the red cross.

Joseph was in his office standing over a pool table. The balls were scattered across the table but when he saw me he tossed his pool stick on the table and left the game.

"You got a pretty full house over there." I nodded and dropped my suitcases on the couch then fell down into a chair.

"We leave in the morning, right?" I asked. Joseph nodded.

"The helicopter is being prepared as we speak." Joseph looked up at the ceiling where the helicopter was parked. I knew he was looking through the roof to make sure no one was tampering with the chopper. He was afraid of flying. We actually he was afraid of crashing.

"Don't be so paranoid." I teased and he returned his gaze to me.

Tegan

I swallowed, hard. Damn. She had cornered me...

"I was afraid," I admitted softly, still not looking at her. "I was afraid for you, that something might have happened. I was afraid I wouldn't get there in time."

I hesitantly reached over and put my hand over hers. It was awkward...but if felt good. I liked the feel of her skin against mine.

"Really?" She asked, watching me seriously, now.

I nodded, finally looking up. My silver eyes locked with hers. "Yes, Jenna. I'm very fond of you, believe it or not. I don't want anything to happen that will ruin this."

She gasped slightly, and I finally smiled. So, it was off my chest. She knew how I felt. But...how did she feel about me?

*Rory, as to plot, either way sounds fine to me!*

Jenna-

I turned his big hand over and traced the lines of his palm with my fingers, dwarfed in comparison with his.

I opened my mouth to say something, then closed it again, not trusting myself to speak. Knowing me I would joke, or say something to make his uncomfortable.

His fingers gripped mine, and shivers ran up my arm.

"Jenna..." he whispered, sounding almost desperate. I looked up, then I moved a little closer to him. He was so much taller than me I had to kneel on the sofa. He watched me as I did this. Then very slowly, and silently, I closed my eyes and brushed my lips against his. They were cold, and I reminded myself that he was a vampire. That I shouldn't be doing this, by any standard.

But I couldn't help it. I kissed him again, more deeply this time and he responded, freeing his hand and putting his arms round my waist. I cupped his face.

"I think we can safely say," I began, feeling oddly buoyant at the thought. "That I feel the same way."

**Just think on it, organize it a bit, and it should be fine, Rory. I like the sound of it anyway!**

Tegan

I pulled her closer, wanting to crush her against me. I locked my lips with hers, savoring and coming alive at the taste of her. I was proud of my control, of my age... Being one of the first vampires had taught me a lot. It was almost impossible to excite me anymore.

I eased off her, kissing her gently as I slowly pulled away. When our lips separated, we were both breathing heavily, hearts pounding. We just stood in each other's arms, holding each other, enjoying the moment. She was so tiny, so petite, compared to me. Where I was over six feet and composed of nothing but muscle, she was delicate and slender. But I was fine with that. Her beauty was only an added bonus to loving her.

I embraced her then, whispering in her ear, "I love you, Jenna. So much." I smiled; I finally had someone. After all the heartbreak and misery of being alone, I had someone.

Drake

Alanna and I sat around the apartment, content just to relax. At least, she was. She was fast asleep on the couch.

Jack had said something about London, and I was anxious to hear more details. I had already planned on going with him, to help him. I just was dying to know what to expect.

I glanced at the cell phone; perhaps I should call Tegan?

Naw. I'd do that later, after he and Jenna rest and get settled in again.

Jenna-

"I..." I began slowly, savouring the words. "I love you too," I said, and I knew it was true as soon as I said it. I smiled up at him. His expression was one I had never seen on his face before, almost innocent. It looked so lovely on his harsh features, softening them. Probably some people would find him too bear-like to be beautiful, good-looking at best. But at that moment, he was the most wonderful thing in the world.

I reached up and ran a hand through his hair. The practical side of me was screaming at me.

"We shouldn't get carried away," I said, feeling my stomach drop as I knew that was true too. "Sam might turn again, or if Drake and Alana need help..." I hated myself for saying it, for ruining this moment, our moment, but then again, I never had been much of a heroine.

He nodded. "I promise we won't," he said rogueishly and kissed me again. I giggled.

"Are you still tired?" he asked, suddenly full of concern.

I nodded reluctantly. "But I don't want to sleep."

"You should," he said like a parent. "We might need to make a move quickly, and I can't have you falling asleep on me. Even though I could probably carry you."

I laughed. "What about you?"

"I'll watch over you."

I rolled my eyes and sat back down on the sofa. "I hope you're not going to get too lovey-dovey on me," I murmured, settling against his chest and closing my eyes. If I did manage to sleep, it would be the best sleep I ever had.

Joseph Konner-

I slid my hands in my pockets and stared at Jack, my best friend for the past four hundred or so years. We had been through everything together and I could tell something was troubling him. Jack was the "keep to yourself" type, never much for sharing his feelings.

"What?" He asked when he noticed the change in my expression.

"Something is wrong." He shrugged and shook his head. I tempted myself to let it go but couldn't, "Don't lie to me I know you."

"Nothing is wrong." He said leaning his head back on the chair. I figured he was probably worried about London, he had family there, well decendants. He was most likely worried Gael would go after them, use them as leverage. Jack had made a habbit of checking up on his family in London, sending them money and such.

I shook my head and walked back to the pool table, "You should get back, they'll probably be interested in our little plan."

Jack St. John-

I swung open the door to my apartment. Alana was asleep but Drake was in the kitchen.

"Hey Drake." I said tossing my keys on the table and pulling a glass down from the cabinet.

"So waht are the peticulars for this London trip?" Drake asked, getting strait to the point.

"Just to see what Gael is up to over there, and check in with the Breed group in London." I answered having a slight hidden aganeda behind that. I wanted to check up on some of the family that I had there. I got reports from a friend close to them sometimes and sent money, but I wanted to actually meet them.

"How long will we be there."

"I imagine a week or two, no longer than that. Anyone is welcome to come along, there is plenty of room in Joseph's helicopter."
