Kaleb knew when they had to leave when the security guards walked closer and closer. "Let's go." He whispered as they collected their chips and went to exchange them. When they had their money Kaleb went straight for the bank where they had made an account.
"Why did we leave?" Syb finally asked.
"They were wanting us gone. That's why the guards kept coming around. They didn't want to lose to much money and we were on a streak." He replied. "I had to do that yesterday."
Kaleb nodded and drove to the apartment. When they got there he pulled on his shirt that was issued by the casino. It was small and outlined every muscle in his chest. He shrugged trying to make it a little more comfortable. "Wish these things would fit." HE muttered looking in the mirror. He didn't like the assigned outfit, but he wasn't complaining about the pay. He looked at Syb and frowned. He deffinatly didn't like her outfit. Oh it was cute, but he didn't wnat anyone elese seeing her in it.
"I don't know if they will let you and I sure hope they will." He replied. "I sure hope this shirt doesn't tear. They probably make them this snug on purpose."
"Probably." She grinned as they walked to the truck and drove to the casino. He dropped her off at her table then started his rounds with Colt.
"Get situated?" Colt asked.
"Ya, it's a nice place. THanks." Colt nodded and they continued.
"Code black, Code Black!" And urgent voice poured over their walkie talkies. Code black meant someone was trying to break into the safe, someone stupid if they had been caught.
"Joy." Colt muttered. "Let's go."
"He's on the run, close to black jack tables headed for main entrance." Kaleb's heart about stopped when he heard that. He picked up his pace pushign through people.
Suddenly there was a lot of screaming and people running. I snapped into fearless mode and stood up wondering what was going on and looking for Kaleb. Some wacko with a gun was running towards us.
He paused and fired his gun in the air twice, I ducked down a little bit, but still being one of the few people standing I was easy access for a hostage. He took advantage. He grabbed my arm and held me close to him as he pushed the gun to my head.
I tried not to scream as I heard him cock the gun, but I couldn't keep myself completely silent, I whimpered.
"Don't shoot her!" Kaleb begged.
The man pulled the gun away from my head and pointed it at him.
"Kaleb don't!" I cried, the man shot the gun into the air and pressed it back to my head.
"Back off," he ordered. Kaleb took a step back. THe man started dragging me towards the enterence putting on a trench coat on the way and hiding the gun inside. "Don't say a word." He dragged me into the street and into a taxi from there.
Kaleb went into protection mode quickly. He put his gun back in it's holster running towards the entrance. Colt followed quickly.
"We'll get my car." Colt said. Kaleb nodded and they went to the parking lot where Colt jumped in a beautiful pitch black dodge 2008 viper. He got in and Colt tore out of the parking lot easily hitting top speed to catch up with the taxi. He slowled down a little behind finding the wright taxi number.
He stopped the cab near a very well populated apartment building and dragged me out. We hurried quickly into the building and then down a few flights of stairs and out another exit.
"If they're following us you lose a kidney," he murmered into my ear. He pulled us out and got into another taxi.
"Cause, he is going around back." Colt replied. They drove around the back of hte building and sure enough the guy pulled Syb into another Taxi. "See, they all try and pull the same stunt. This way he won't think we're following."
He pulled the gun out and pointed it at the cabbies head, "drive fast," he ordered.
The cabbie floored it. Using the small bit of lack that I had I rammed an elbow into his crotch and shoved him against the door. He flung the gun back around to me and pulled the trigger. The shot grazed off of my arm but was still enough to make me scream in pain. The cabbie punched the breaks, and stopped dead in the middle of the street, another car banged into the back of the cab knocking me into the front of the seat, probably giving me a concussion.
I didn't waste my time trying to continue the fight, I opened the door and managed to fall out. Realizing where I was I curled into a little ball and tried to curl a little bit under the taxi.
