Daughters of the Moon

Serena:

I woke up to Brian calling my name. I walked out of my room in shorts and a tank, still tired. I saw Brian standing there in a wet surfing outfit talking to someone else. I assumed it was his girlfriend, and was extremely surprised when I saw Mike. I was horrified! I glared at Brian.

He laughed at my expression. "Not mad at me are you?" he chuckled.

I growled. "Why didn't you warn me he was coming?"

"Thought it'd be more fun." he smiled. "Besides, I thought it might be good for all of us to hang out together today."

I growled. So that I'd stay away from staton. I thought. "I'm going to go get ready." I left to go change and returned a gfew minutes later in jeans and a plain black tee. "What did you have in mind?" I asked, my violet eyes still icy.

**I got an idea on how to injure Stanton but throw awesome conflict into the story!**

Mike:

I stared at Serena for a moment. God, she was beautiful. A shame, that that model-like person was being wasted on someone only half as good as her... A shame she wasn't with me, under my protection...

"Hit the beach, catch some waves, just hang out. The Daughters are coming, too," Collin shrugged.

I saw Serena sigh, and I knew what she was thinking about. Stanton. I became very suddenly jealous, but reigned in my emotions. Don't be a fool. Don't be a fool.

Serena:

I looked over at Mike quizzically, but was immediately blocked from his mind. I growled. "Not fair." I complained.

My brother looked at me oddly. "What isn't?"

I laughed. It was too much fun having another mind reader around. I grinned and opened up my thoughts to Mike. "It would be fun to talk like this all day and drive Brian crazy. what do you say?"

He seemed hesitant to my plan so I put on a pouty look and asked, "Please?" in my mind.

**Does Serena know he likes her? Because we could do this thing where she kind of falls in love with him briefly...or something...idk. Just like kissess him in a weak moment and Staton arrives...then she realizes who she was kissing was different than who she was thinking about...idk. Just an idea.

**Actually, it works! And then Mike can attack, thinking Stanton is there to hurt or kidnap Serena, and Mike accidently puts SERENA in danger! Of course, then, Stanton could get hurt by saving her, and Mike gets really pissed at himself for being stupid...?
I would post, but I'm having problems right now...I'm a little upset...**

Mike

I grinned at her, nodding. It would be great to annoy Collin, but it was even better that I got to talk to Serena. Maybe I could hint that I was in love with her... Maybe that would change her mind about Stanton... Maybe she'd go for me...

She cocked an eyebrow at me. I could tell she was skimming my thoughts, and I quickly pushed them aside. Not yet. Not yet...

So, ready to have fun? I asked.

Oh, yes!

Serena:

I grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the car. I knew him. He wasmy brother's best friend afterall. I really liked hanging out with him. It was fun. and my brother liked this company better. I tried to push staton aside and concentrate on today. "So, I really don't know how to surf. Want to teach me?" I asked in his mind. I was determined not to speak outloud to my brother. If Mike wanted to, the that was fine. I sat in the back and pulled him beside me. I smiled at him. this was going to be fun. I was sort of tired and gently laid my head on his shoulder without thinking about it. It was a natural gesture. Whenever I was tired, I'd use someone's shoulder as a pillow. Mike was the closest shoulder, therefore he became my pillow. I closed my eyes. "Wake me up when we get there." I told him.

**All the conversations she has will be in their minds unless specified otherwise. she's pretty annoyed at her brother right now.**

Mike

I wrapped my arm around her, stroking her back as she dozed. I looked up to see Collin studying us.

"You don't mind, do you?" I asked, ready to be less affectionate toward Serena.

"I'm actually glad someone else is in love with her!" he chortled. "You do, right?"

"You have no idea."

"Let's just hope she'll feel the same."

We laughed at that as we continued the drive. Collin put in a CD, and I grinned. It was one of my mixes; Nickleback, Lynam, Linkin Park, and others... We tried to sing along with it as we drove the last fourty-minutes to the beach.

Serena:

I felt someone gently shacking me awake. I opened my eyes. I yawned. "Sorry, I didn't get much sleep last night." I sai aloud before I realized it.

I felt my brother's glare.

I growled. "No. He didn't come." I said harshly. Then became mute.

"Sis, talk to me. Please. Why do you go after him? he's a horrible guy. he'll hurt you...hey, where are you going?"

I stalked away, towards the car, was about to grab the keys when I felt Mike's hand on mine. "He's just concerned."

I growled. "Will you teach m how to surf?" I asked, trying to calm down. I was furious, seething. I wanted to peirce him with something. I grabbed Mike's hand and dragged him towards the beach, tearing off my clothes to reveal a black string bikini underneath.

Mike

I breathed deeply. Damn, she was hot! It took all of my self control to stay calm, to not get turned on by the sight of her body.

I smiled. "Nice swimsuit," I told her in my mind. "And yes, I'll teach you."

Serena:

I smiled as he spent a couple hours teaching me how to surf. Finally, I was exhausted and asked if we could take a break.

It was getting dark, and the stars overhead were gorgeous. I had a fun day. I smiled at Mike as we sat on a log apart from my brother and the other daughters. "Isn't it beautiful?"

"Very."

I looked over and saw him looking at me, still in my swimsuit. I grinned and he blushed.

"Serena I-"

"Sh. Don't speak. Please. I don't want to ruin this moment." Before I knew it I was leaning in to kiss him. His lips were soft and longing. But in my mind, I felt Stanton kissing me. I felt him laying m down like he did yesterday. I felt something tickling my mind and looked up to see Staton standing there with a scowl on his face.

Stanton

I was on fire; anger rolled off me, but not just at her. I locked gazes with Mike, then Collin. They were trying to force her away from me...

I went tense as Mike shot to his feet and stood between Serena and me.

"What do you want?!" he snarled. I could sense the magic he was already summoning. He wanted to fight... and if he didn't back down, he'd get one.

"Let me talk to Serena. Ora," I snarled. Ora was Italian for now; damn, they had me pissed!

"No chance!" Mike came after me. I growled, running forth to meet him head-on.

Serena:

I gasped and jumped btween them. "Stop it! Both of you!" I screamed outloud and in their heads. But Mike was too mad. He was charged. I screamed and shut my eyes, waiting for the magic to hit and burn me.

Collin:

this wasnzt supposed to happen. Staton wasn't supposed to be here. Serena was supposed to fall in love with Mike. But she was standing in front of Staton...my thoughts suddenly clicked as I saw Mike still charging.

"Serena!" I screamed. She was going to be fried. And there was nothing that I could do..

Stanton

I gasped, horrified. Serena was between us, I had charged magic at the ready, and Mike was still coming.

"Stay back!" I hooked an arm around her, pulling her out of the firing range. I shoved her across the sand, leaving my left side completely vulnerable to Mike...Shit!

He hit me head-on, and our magic exploded. I coughed as I was thrown back, rolling across the ground. I stopped with my back against a log. I doubled over, my breath coming in sharp gasps and blood oozed from wounds on my side. I shakily ran my hand over them; two ribs had been shattered and had come through my skin. I groaned, coughing hoarsely as Mike regained his footing, knocked senseless by my last-minute attack to his head.

I began to go into shock and collapsed, blacking out.

Serena:

I choced on the sand and regained my breath. I looked at Staton. I gasped and rushed towards him. "Staton!" Tears rolled down my face. I looked desperately at the daughters. I grabbed my cell and called 911. They were there and took staton to the hospital with Mike, though he wasn't hurt as badly.

I was so mad at them both. How could they be suh idiots?! I was fuming. They were in the same room and woke up at the same time.

"You two are such idiots!!!" I screamed. "You could've killed each oher! Do you know what that would've done to me?! Do you know what you could've done to me?! You both are such idiots! I can make up my own mind-"

"Sis, it wasn't Mike's fault. He was trying to pro-"

"NOT HIS FAULT?! If he hadn't attacked and just let Staton talk to me, none of this would of happened! I almost died, Brian!! How would you like to be without a sister?! Your all idiots!!! And you, bro! Thus was all your bright idea!" I sztalked out, grabbed the car, and left.

Brian:

I sat down in one of the chairs, shaken. She could've died. I loved her so much. I couldn't imagine being without her. I glared at Staton. "This was all your fault!"
