Daughters of the Moon

Vanessa, Serena, Jimena, Catty, and Tianna are five seemingly ordinary girls living in LA. But the truth is that they are all far from ordinary. They each have a secret power that seperates them from others, and makes them Daughters of the Moon. Their ultimate goal is to defeat the Atrox, a centuries-old evil that is bent on destroying them and removing all hope from the world. Hope was the last thing to leave Pandora's box when the Atrox had formed, and the goddess Selene took pity on humans, sending her daughters to prevent the Atrox from devouring hope. The Atrox's followers are simply called Followers, and posses great mind-controlling powers. The Immortal Followers have the ability to shape-shift into shadows.

There are Followers(which include the Immortals), the Inner Circle, and the Outcasts(Followers who have failed to please the Atrox). Followers must do something very evil (such as destroying or seducing a Daughter) to recieve Immortality or to be accepted into the Inner Circle, one of the most powerful parts of the Atrox. Stanton, Prince of Night, is next in line to rule the Atrox. (Serena and Stanton are in love/dating)

Rules:
1.You can either be one of the Daughters, a Follower, Stanton, or a Daughter's boyfriend.(PM me for more info/characters)
2.No god-modding; PM the other character and discuss your death if you want to kill off your character.
3. Posts must be at least one paragraph long.
4.If you're a Follower or Serena, you can't always read people's thoughts. If they say that they're putting up their 'barrier' in their mind, then please don't be pushy.
5. Only Immortals can become shadows (except for the Atrox itself)

Characters:
Serena: Reads minds; is in love with Stanton, has a brother Collin.
Jimena:Has premonitions; dating Collin; bad gang history.
Vanessa: invisibility; dating Michael Saratoga; has trouble staying invisible/visible in times of extreme emotion.
Catty: time travels; has no boyfriend (you can create her boyfriend)
Tianna: telekinesis; dating Derek; lives with foster mother.

*Note: Powers can only be used for good. No Daughter has mastered her skill and needs guidance; that is where Maggie, their mentor comes in. When each Daughter turns 17, she either loses her memory of being a Daughter and her power, or she turns into something else, a guardian spirit perhaps. No one knows. Each Daughter wears a moon amulet that glows when danger is around, especially when Followers are near.

powers: Mind reading

Appearance: Long black hair and mystic blue eyes. Elf like.

Personality: Sweet and is always laughing. Is very nosy and tries to use her powers to see what others are thinking. very flirtatius as a cover up for her dating someone she shouldn't.

Personality: She is sweet, and too trusting for her own good. She is very cautious though at times. And has a huge temper which tends to be a huge surprise because she doesn't seem like the person to have a temper.

Picture: Her eyes are the blue of her hair, and her hair is brown.

Power: Time Travel

Other: She can have a boyfriend, I'm up for it if anyone else is.

Personality: Tough, but dedicated to her friends. She loves to have fun and dance at Planet Bang with her friends on the weekends.

Other: Like every other Daughter, she has her dark side. Hers is the Medusa stone that she wears around her neck, which protects her and the other Daughters in times of great danger. She is dating Serena's surfer rat brother, Collin (anyone can be him)

**Are we allowed to have more than one character?**

(Yes, but it can't be Daughter/Daughter's boyfriend, or Daughter/Daughter. You can have only one daughter. And anyone else who wants to be in the storybook can have Jimena; I'll be Maggie, the Daughters' mentor. We really need some Followers, or else the storybook would be pointless.)

Name= Vanessa

Age= 16 and three quarters

Appearance= Vanessa is tall with rich, chocolate brown skin and dark, ebony curls. Her eyes are a cat green and her body is curvy; she is slightly overweight.

Powers= Invisibility. Vanessa's power is becoming increasingly hard to control as she worries about the future and the girls are often having to cover for her sudden disappearances. She worries about them not being able to depend on her when she is needed which only leads to more trouble.

Personality= Vanessa is often over-dramatic and friendly. She appears to be loud and confident but in reality, she is very insecure and worries often. Vanessa's highest fault is her jealousy of the others who, in her opinion, have better and easier to control powers than her.

Other= Vanessa and Michael are close but even around him, she has trouble lowering her barrier.

(When I said it can't be Daughter/Daughter's boyfriend, I meant you can't play your own boyfriend. You can play someone else's boyfriend.)

The night had just settled in as Jimena sped through Los Angeles in her brothers Olds Mobile, on her way to pick up her friends for a night of dancing at Planet Bang. As she sped down Wilshire Blvd., she thought about her old rival gang, which was named after this street. She was now out of the business, since she had become a Daughter, and didn't want anything to do with it anymore. Shrugging off the old memories, she turned onto Serena's street.

Pulling over next to the curb, she walked up to the old two-story house and rang the doorbell, noticing that Collin's van was gone.Must be out surfing. She thought, as Serena answered the door.

**Can I play Collin? Just wondering.**

Serena:

I smiled and opened the door, wearing a short black skirt and a violet halter top. I giggled. "Finally you made it." I teased.

We got in the car. "Where to next?" I asked, smiling.

"Like you need me to tell you that." She grinned and playfully shoved Serena as she turned and headed back towards the car. She could feel Serena tickling into her mind.

"So we're going to get Vanessa? Why isn't she driving?" Serena asked, following her best friend to the car.

"Seriously, have you seen the way she drives?" Jimena laughed, and got into the driver's seat, waiting on Serena. As Serena got in, Jimena started the car, blared the radio and pulled away from the curb. She was only fifteen, but her past experience with hi-jacking cars taught her how to drive, and her brother had lent her his car for the weekend.

"So, ready to dance tonight?" Serena practically yelled over the music.

Serena:

I tried to worm my way into everyone's mind. It was a habit for me.

"Yeah. where's your brother?"

I rolled my eyes. Even though I had a boyfriend, I kept him to myself. I would never get a break if they figured out who he was. "He's out surfing." I said, smiling. "What? Miss him already?"

She glared and I laughed.
