*I'm sorry! =*(*

Serena:

I smiled teasingly. "Does this mean you want me to visit you?" I asked, grining. It was fun being a little minx sometimes, especially when Staton would act angry. He would growl slightly and I would all but melt. I giggled. I just couldn't help it. He made me happy. And it was too much fun teasing him.

I smiled when she giggled. The sound made me happy, warm, harmless. I touched my nose to hers, growling playfully again. I groaned when a laugh escaped me, making my ribs hurt.

"Careful," she said. At least she was in a better mood.

That was when the nurse came in, ready to check Mike out.

Serena:

"It's time to leave." The nurse clipped in my direction. she was glaring. apparently, a lot of people disapproved of me laying in Staton's arms. I sighed and gently disentangled myself from his arms and stood up.

Mike was getting up too. The nurse handed him some clothes and he came back out wearing them. I looked miserably at Staton. He had just gotten me happy...and now I was upset again. I sighed and kissed his lips softly. "I love you." I whispered.

Then I turned and grabbed Mike's hand for comfort as we walked out of his room.

Secuna:

As soon as his stupid girlfriend left, I drifted in through the shadows. I sat down beside him and picked up his hand, running my fingers lightly over his hand. "Staton, why do you stay with her? I love you!"

**After their encounter, I want to do a time skip to the day he's released.**

Stanton

I sighed. Her touch was gentle and felt good, but I didn't want it. I easily pulled away. "I know that, Sacuna. I just...I don't feel the same. In my eyes, you are a sister. Nothing more."

She nodded, sniffling. "Time can change that."

I smirked. "We'll see."

She started to cry, and I felt a little guilty. I reached up to her and stroked her face, wiping her tears away. I entered her mind and saw her thoughts; she was worried sick, terrified for me...

I sighed again. "You can cry on me if you want."

**Okay**

Sacuna:

I laid down next to him and let the tears fall. I knew I couldn't stay long. Someone would come in...Serena would get angry...but just for a few minutes..."Why do you love her?" I asked. "She doesn't deserve you!" It wasn't fair! The stupid little daughter got the guy, and I, who only seeked to please and adore him, got left being the "sister." I growled lowly. I hated her! With every fiber of my being! It just wasn't fair!

That was a question I couldn't even answer myself. That was just how it was...

Friday came slowly. I was irritable by the time they released me from the hospital. Four days inside, unable to move, and with unwanted attention from nurses had left me in a very foul mood. Not to mention I could move, but I still hurt like hell. I'd be out of the field for weeks.

I entered the lobby to see Serena and Mike waiting for me, ready to escort me somewhere. I finally smiled.

Serena:

I smiled and ran to him, hugging him tightly around the neck. "I've missed you so much!" I whispered against his ear. I didn't want to let him go. Even though I had seen him every day, the nurses would always force me out after a couple of hours. Mike was always there too...more for me...but still. I missed the alone time I had with staton. I looked at him sadly. "Are you going to stay with me...or are you going back to...Secuna?"

I knew it wasn't like that...but sometimes it felt like it. She saw him a lot more than I did. She was like an annoying little pest always around staton.

I shook my head. I shouldn't be doing that after he just got released. "Never mind. We won't talk about this now." I smiled and took his hand. "What do you want to do, love?"

Mike

I held a hand out to Stanton, which he hesitantly took. "Glad you're up, friend."

Friend. I had just finalized our relationship. He was a friend of mine. I looked at Serena, who beamed. "I'm going to go...talk to this Sacuna."

I left them alone.

Stanton

Perfect. Thanks, Mike.

I offered Serena my right arm, since my left side was still bound and aching. She took it, walking beside me as we strode from the building. Finally, I was free.

Once outside, I finally answered her question. "I just want to be with you. Alone."

Serena:

I beamed. "That's exactly how I feel." I was so glad to be with him again. "So...have a place in mind?" I asked. "Collin is gone...for now...and my parents our out of town. We could go back to my house if you'd like. Unless you have some place better." I leaned slightly against him, so glad to be here again.

Secuna:

I watched as Serena walked away with Staton and growled. It wasn't fair! I sighed and chocked back tears as they left.

I smiled at her. "Lead the way, my dear!"

Mike

I saw Sacuna watching them, tears streaming down her face. A beautiful face, at that. And to think she was in so much pain... I walked around her, standing just behind her.

"You want to talk about it?" I asked, making her jump.

Serena:

I gigged and pulled Staton the whole way to my house, smiling and grinning. I was so glad to have him! It was so wonderful to be near him again. We arrived a little later, and I unliked the back screen door. We walked inside and I took back towards my bedroom. I giggled as I closed the door. "You know...it would've been a lot easier to get here if you had used shadows." I teased, placing my arms around him and starring into his irresistible eyes.

Secuna:

I glared. "What am I spposed to say? What a little..." I tooka deep breath. "She doesn't deserve him. She's a wworthless little girl who can't even take care of herself! He deserves someone stronger..." I chocked. He would never love me.

I put my hands on her hips, hooking my thumbs through her beltloops.

"I've been in a bed for a week," I told her flatly, staring at her disbelievingly. "The last thing I want to do is be lazy."

With that I kissed her lips softly, caressing hers gently. Before too long, I had her completely, my tongue with hers, kissing her deeply and passionately.

I sighed, thinking for a moment.

"Life...is confusing. Sometimes things happen, and we can't explain them. Like love. We're too young to understand all of it, which is why we're left heartbroken and angry. I love Serena, but I somehow know I will never be with her. Knowing that, without knowing why, I am trying to move on. Understand?"
