Daughters of the Moon

Serena:

I moaned against his lips, melting under him. His show of passion was so great...he only did this when we were alone. I quivered slightly. His very touch intoxicated me. "Staton!" I whimpered. It felt good. Like tasting a piece of heaven. I smiled up at him. "I missed you." I said softly, carressing his cheek with my hand.

Stanton

I stared into her eyes, letting my head rest in her hand. This was heaven...being with her, touching her, loving her... I sighed.

"And I missed you," I whispered, embracing her. "You have no idea how much."

Serena:

"Really? You weren't satisfied with your little shadow?" I teased. He growled and I giggled. "What? I'm sure she was good company. Surely you don't need me when you have her." I smiled, wrapping my arms back around his neck.

Secuna:

I sighed. "Who are you?" I asked the young man standing there. "Weren't you with serena?"

Stanton

I glared at her playfully, gingerly picking her up and laying her on the bed, on her back. The action hurt me, so I just laid beside for a moment, biting my lip. She saw the pain in my eyes.

"You okay?" she asked, touching my cheek.

I sighed as I finished recovering. "Yeah. And to answer your question, no one can replace you."



Mike

"I'm Mike," I answered. "And I'm her brother's best friend."

Serena:

I smiled and kissed him softly. "Good. Just the way I like it." I looked at him concerned. "You sure your okay? do you want to go do something? We could go swimming...or...for a walk if you don't want to lay in bed." I smiled. "We could go dancing. whatever you want. I don't wantt o keep you cooped up in here if you want to go do something. I'm up for anything as long as it doesn't hurt you more." It was good to have him back. I missed him when he was in the hospital. I knew Secuna would go and stay with him as soon as I would leave, and it kind of annoyed me that I couldn't. But Mike had been great. He stayed over every night, much to my brother's delight.

I sighed and burried my head into his shoulder, taking in the scent of him. I loved the way he smelled. Nothing else could compare. I closed my eyes and waited for further instructions on how to please my love.

Secuna:

I looked up at him. "What are you doing with me then? By association, shouldnzt you despize me? Collin seems to enough..." I sighed. It was no use. I really needed a life. I wipped the tears out of my eyes. "I'm Secuna. Probably heard a lot about me from Serena."

Stanton

I thought for a moment. Dancing would hurt, just as swimming would. I groaned annoyed...

"I can't do anything too strenuous. Dancing and swimming are out. A walk on the beach sounds nice, though," I looked at her, waiting for her response.

Mike

I nodded. "I have. And I'm impressed. For someone to be that dedicated and devoted, you're someone to count on and to go to. It's a rare quality, nowadays."

What was I saying? I had no idea. But I liked it.

Serena:

I smiled. "Mkay. But I'm going to change." I grinned evily. I got up and turned. "Cover your eyes." I smirked.

"Why?"

"Because I want you to fully appriciate what I'm going to ware when I'm wearing it. Now, cover your eyes."

He growled and I giggled. I looked quickly through my doors, finding what I needed. I walked out, and when I walked back in I was wearing a black string bikini top that tied in the back and a pair of short jean shorts on the bottom with the bikini bottoms on under it.

I looked at Staton grinning. "What do you think love?" I teased.

Secuna:

I blushed. "Um...thanks. So...you don't hate me? Or think me worthless?" I looked down at my feet shyly. He was handsome. "Want to go do something?" I asked.

Stanton

I stared at her body, taking in every detail. Damn, she was hot! It took every ounce of control to keep from getting too excited.

"I love it," I growled, sitting up and standing beside her. I kissed her again before taking her hand and letting her lead the way.


Mike

I smiled, nodding. "I have no reason to hate you. Come on; I'll buy you lunch."

I waited for her to follow.

Serena:

I smiled, knowing he liked the view. I pulled him behind me, making sure that my hips swung seductively. It was just too much fun teasing him. I did this all the way to the beach.

When we arrived, the sun was getting ready to set. I slowed my pace and forgot about being tempting. I laid my head on his shoulder as we walked down the beach. "It's gorgeous out here." I sighed.

Secuna:

I stood up and followed Mike timidly, not exactly sure what to do. I was used to being invisible. A side kick. Only there when truly needed. But...he saw me...and it made me sort of jittery and nervous. I walked beside him. "Tell me about yourself." I offered, trying to break the awkward silence.

Stanton

I held her around the waist, against me. I enjoyed being this close to her, touching her... I only gave the sky a moment's glance; I turned my attention to Serena.

"Not as gorgeous as you." Even as I said it, the sunset sky made her dark hair glossy and shiny, reflecting every color. Her eyes sparkled in the light, drawing my attention immediately to her face.

I put my forehead to hers, sighing. "I want to be with you forever, Serena. I want to marry you... Of that, I can't be more certain. My heart and mind are made up."


**Teehee, I had to do it! **

Mike

I shrugged. "There's not much to say. I've known Collin my whole life; he's my best friend. And Serena...she like my little sister. There's not much else between us. I'm just your average telepath, now, looking for my life's reason. You?"

Serena:

I gaped at him. "Staton! Are you serious?" I gasped. "Staton, your not serious are you?!" I just stared. we were still young..and also, there was my brother and my parents he would have to get permission from. "Your not serious are you?" I was still in so much doubt! I man...I wanted to spend my whole life with him too, but...I sighed.

Secuna:

"I've lived to serve. That's about it. I...I am third up in the organization. Staton, of course, is second. What do you think of him and Serena being together?" I asked cautiously.

Stanton

I nodded.

"I am serious. And I know what I have to deal with. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to start getting on your family's good side. Maybe then, after a couple of years, they'll accept me, we'll be older, and we can finally marry. I'm in no rush. Whatever makes you happy makes me happy."

I waited for her response.



Mike

I gaped at her. Third in line? Wow!

"That quite an accomplishment. I'm just sorry your life isn't better. If there's anything I can do to help, I'll do it.

"But as far as Stanton and Serena go... they're good for each other. I think they'll go far. Not to make you feel worse, really." I put an arm over her shoulder and gave her a brief hug, hoping it would show that I cared, even if Stanton didn't.

Serena:

"Wouldn't the Antrox kill you if you married me?" I asked, scared. I wanted this to happen, but I didn't want him to die! I wanted to be with him, but not at that cost. I sighed. "Can we not think about this now? I just want to enjoy being with you a the moment. I don't want o think of you leaving me..." I chocked. I knew that ater these couple of weeks, he'd be forced to go back to work, and I didn't want to think about losing him!

Secuna:

I blushed. "Seeing me helps...no one's ever truly seen me. I'm Staton's shadow. That'swat I've always been...and therefore I become invisble...unless it has to o with Staton." I sighed. "Where are we going to eat at?"

Stanton

"Only if I can't find a way to stop our war, then, yes, Atrox will probably kill me. But don't lose faith, love." I kissed her, chastely. "We have all the time in the world. I'm fine with just now, just here, just this."

I kissed her deeply then, pulling her against me, next to me. We kissed until we couldn't breathe, which was a mistake. When we parted, I was gasping. My side was searing. I groaned, "Shit..."

"Stanton?"

I sank to my knees, a hand going to my side. God, it hurt so much! A single tear actually fell from my eyes, but I quickly batted it away.

"My side... Got too excited... Shh..." I bit back another curse as I steadied my breathing. Damn it all! I couldn't even get back up without it hurting! I would have to use my magic... I couldn't stay here; we were too vulnerable to Regulators here. And I needed to lay down. I touched Serena, hand shaking, and fused with the shadows. We flew back to her house, to her room, onto her bed. I coughed as I collapsed onto the mattress, completely immobile in my pain.

"Stanton, are you okay?!" She was frantic, now. I had laid down with my back to her, my left side up, but I didn't need to see her face. I could hear it in her tone.

"Just...get a cool rag...some strong pain killer...and let me lay here..." At least I could breathe easier.


Mike

We ended up in front of an Italian restaraunt. I looked at it, then at Sacuna. "What do you like the most? You choose, I pay?"
