I was bullied all through primary school 24/7... I used to cry all night and it got worse when my friend left in year 3. I am still bullied sometimes but not as much. My memerories of that still effect me today. I am the quietest person in my Religion and sport classes because I find it so hard to make friends, but my other classes I have some friends you are very nice to me. When I am in my Religion and sport classes I am always ignored. I try to make friends but sometimes it's just so hard 'cause every one always laughs at me...
just know that there is a diffrence between tease and bully.
I get teased.. I don't care!
I bot bullied around since I was in the third grade.. Love reasons
Moving on to the forth grade.. Me and my so called best friend got bullied around because of her father was captured in prison..
In the fifth grade.. well, my friend left me..She was moving fine but I think in the wrong friends directions. I was left behind. I don't care a lot.. and detected a lot of my mistakes...
sixthgrade... She left my school for another.. but I already had a bad influence because of her.. but I never gave her the fault.. I became more like nerd.. The most important and stressing years!
A new start.. get teased sometimes but I can handle them.. And looking back on all those times.. I don't care anymore..
This 'bout me
Just keep moving on.. Think pos.
it would be: "Bulllies- You're either one or you get bullie by one" which still
'Bulllies' > Bullies.. no offense Nikki!
'
hmm 'Avalon' eh? Heard 'bout it ... reminds me of Mist of Avalon.. or something like it

Yes.. But what Nai was saying is that it really lessens as you grow older and more mature. Adults don't beat you up because you wear glasses. Neither do highschoolers.
HOWEVER this is not the section for a debate. So let's end it right here, and if you'd like to continue debating, create a thread for it in the debate section. Thank you.
Fontroy.. No offense, but your message was REALLY hard to read and understand. "retiated"? How about "retaliated"? Good word, if spelled correctly. "Some1"? Please. Don't resort to internet shortcuts unless they're "lol" or some other understandable abbreviation.
Sorry. That post just really irks me to no end..
I was bullied back in.. fourth grade, I think it was. It sucked, but I didn't let it get to me. The only thing that happens to me now is I get odd looks from preps because I'm not "cool enough" for them. But whatever. I'm myself and that's the only person I want to be.
I have been bullied, nothing bad though...
My advice is, stand up to the bullies, and if it comes down to a fight, despite what your teachers say, fight the bully...
If you know you can't win, or if you get beaten up, make big friends (worked for me).

What everyone has said about being bullied and bullies is true. I got bullied once when I was in 3rd grade by a 16 yr old. Imagine how I felt. He would push me down or punch me or whatever for no reason. Well I got sick of it and took matters into my own hands. I pushed him when he was bent over getting something out from under a bus and he hit the bus head first. He never messed with me again. Then, when I was in 8th and 9th grade, people would trip me and crap like that just b/c i'm apostalic pentecostal. For anyone who doesn't know, that is the religion where the girls have to have long hair and wear skirts(I don't want to go into detail). Well, I got sick of that too and told them straight out that they need to leave me alone saying that clearly they were too bored with their own lives so they had to mess with me cuz I'm different from them. I really showed them off and embarrassed them by yelling it. So being bullied is something I know how to deal with.

Only those have been bullied for a while know how a person who has been bullied feels. If you haven't then shut up, you will never understand...
Yeah, I've been bullied since I can remember, I got bullied mostly in primary, then it went down and now I'm back to that stage again. Though its not much as physical bullying, its more mentally bullying for me, the only person who does both is my mum.. And yes, your mum can do that.
I do talk alot but that's me, people bully me because of the way I am.. I hate it... Though to make me feel less weak I, myself 'kinda' bully others, like this boy, I hit him and call him names.. I walk up people's heels make a fool of the way THEY look and call them loads of names.. Its like an escape for me, somehow it makes me feel good, even if I am hurting others...
That is the other reason I hate my self, I may get bullied but I bully others.. I'm sorry guys, please don't think different of me..
Emma I'm the same way. I get bullied every once and a while still but it's not as bad as it was. I get bullied then I bully right back. I feel that hurting others after I've been hurt makes me feel good too. A couple of years ago I got this anger problem to the point that i felt I could only solve my problems was with my fist. I got into fights and it felt good. But then, after a while I became suicidal(didn't spell right). I'm not like that anymore b/c I changed. So maybe getting back at people is not the way to go cuz it will only eventually make things worse. I would know. People who bully others are just too bored with their own lives and take it out on others. By the way I hope you weren't just addressing me.

Emma, thanks for mentioning non-physical bullying. Because the fact of the matter is, at least half of bullying, and probably more, is not physical. In my case, it was almost never physical. Other than a bit of shoving for posturing, the only two times anyone ever touched me was to snip a piece of my hair, and hit me in the back of my neck with a rolled-up magazine.
Fighting back is only good in some cases. In mine, it wasn't. Because whenever I even tried to sound confident, it made them laugh even more. I didn't really know how, anyway. I have pretty severe social anxiety and wasn't able to. Eventually, I began to believe the things they said about me. I never wanted to kill myself. I wanted to do things that would maybe remind them that I'm human too. I explain it better in my writings.

I was a supurb target in elementary school. Small, chubby, intellegent, new to the school...there was no end to the tears I shed. I have the tendancy to attract bad people as friends. A girl I had known since the fourth grade asked me to stop sitting with her in the 6th grade because her new friends thought I was a lesbian. My 'friend' Jazzy reported me to the dean for harrassment because it made her uncomfortable that I read the bible one night I stayed with her. She also gave me a low score on a project because she took all my work home with her and finished it. Her offer. Ninth grade I dated a Venuzulan boy and was consistently harrassed by his hispanic friends ("punte gringa" is the name I recall most vivdly). Sophomore year I was befriended and consiquently assulted by a senior. Jr. and sr. year went okay, the same girl who asked me to stop sitting with her re-friended and un-friended me again. She just quit talking to me. Everyone knows the story of my ex who left me after almost 3 years of commitment for a girl I considered one of my best. He dumped me on my doorstep after picking me up from the airport the day I got home from China.
See? I tend to attract people willing to take advantage of my generally congenial nature. Sad me.

All of you saying that bullying still exsists in high school, are probably bullied now, so it's easy for you to say.
The farthest I have ever seen any kind of teasing or bullying go in the high schools i've been in is a amused look or a small snicker to a kid who dresses strangely or doesn't shower often. Yeah there are many fights in high school, but it's all between girls of the same label, and guys of the same label. You won't see a cheerleader fighting a skater punk, you won't see a jock fighting an honor roll student, you won't see a nerd fighting a goth kid. It just doesn't happen.
My point is, bullying does not occur the slightest bit near as much as it does in 1st-8th grade.
And yes, I am saying that the shift from 8th grader to Freshman does change kids, yeah most Freshman are obnoxious and have a good potential to start a fight, but the rest of the kids in the school are bigger than them and much more mature. High school is where kids find their identity and in most cases, are smart enough to not need to bully someone to make them feel better.

"Most cases" being the significant words there. It's unfair to tell a kid such nice things, especially when you don't know whether or not these bullies will be like "most kids". All that does is build him up without a proper foundation. The better thing to do is to give him a foundation that will help, regardless of what the future brings. It's also unfair to take what you've observed as the way it is everywhere, or to forget that even if they're smart enough that they may not care. In these situations, you can't just expect other people to change. The change has to be within yourself for it to really matter.
Besides, do you have any idea how much those seemingly innocent snickers can hurt if you've been bullied badly enough to become suicidal and any self-esteem you once had has been shot to pieces?
While I admire your persistance, I find it hard to believe, after all you've heard, that you still believe what you're saying.
Please, sit down before you fall down.
