another new face?! how many people where in this hotel?
after being helped up he gave her a weak, embarassed smile and, with his head hung low, sloped off down the corridor unsure what to do now.

something was waiting for him in the darkness.

Maria:

He was just wandering twards dangerous places wasn't he? As soon as he looked up at the darkness he was janked in by a dark ribbony arm. She huffed and ran after him as he was janked into the darkness. So many of them seamed to get into some odd things at this hotel. It was all her style though. She leaped into the darkness, arms outstretched as the boy disapeared. She managed to make it trough just before the darkness turned to original darkness. Now they were stuck there unless the ghost let them go. Faces encircled both the boy and her. White faces. She looked around quickly to get a better view of the shrouding they were in. Not very big. It would be a hard desistion on how to get out. "Come on! I've already seen you before. Stop tryining to scare us." SHe turned to the boy. He had a puzzled face.

"Well... never mind about him. Stop trying to scare me. It's not going to work." She threw out her hands to the darkness. It lit up for a break second and a body figure apeared. "Tell me, what do you have against the boy?" She asked. The figure walked forward to be aluminated by the white faces as he broke through them.

"His past," A rough voice ecoed. The figures mouth had not opened.

"I...-I don't know my past," The boy managed to say. His vioce was small at first but grew stronger.

"Figures," Maria mumbled as she looked back at the boy. She turned back to the figure. "See. He doen't remember his past. Now don't hold a grund. Send us back."

"Why should we?" A girl apeared beside the figure. She was transparent. See through.

"We have nothing to do with you. Well I do but he doesn't. Get going, little girl," Maria held a hard face as she looked down on the girl. The little girl looked up into Maria's eyes.

"Fine," The girl huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. SHe nodded to the figure. Hie legs disapeared as he came at both Maria and the boy. The figure scupped them up and they were throwen back into the corador.

"Ow," The boy said as they we both throwen against the wall, bouncing off. Maria strugled to get to her knees as the boy stood up.

"Crap." Maria had her shirt up part way as she looked down on a dark bruse. "This is what I get for what I do," She mumbled.

Seth

"the boy" knew what those things were. even of the girl didn't (Seth wondered what the girls name was).
They were the things of nightmare, and not just any nightmares, but his nightmares. They were the only thing he could remember dreaming about; the faceless things and the girl and the endless, seeping darkness. For countless nights he had been awoken by them, chasing him from his slumbers, screaming all the way.
He thought by coming here he might be able to escape them, but the condition has just worsened and now they seem to be invading his conscious life as well as his sleep.

"What now?" he asked in his typical, blunt manner.
"What now?! What about this?" the girl screached, indicating the terrible bruise forming on her stomach, "This is your fault."
"I don't control those things!" Seth was tired of this conversation. He began wondering what to do about this girl. His first thought had been to get rid of her as soon as possible, but thinking about how she'd saved him from those monstrosities, he decided she might be of use to him after all.
"Lets at least get moving, in case they come back." at least the girl could think Seth thought, before turning on his heel and walking off down the corridor again.
"What about me?" the girl asked as she watched helplessly as Seth walked away. She winced at the pain when she accidentally touched the bruise again.
After a few feet he turned, looked back at the girl and said
"Aren't you coming?"
"Oh...um...yes." the girl began walking after Seth, wincing everytime anything came in contact with the bruise.

They turned a corner and saw a very grim situation. It was a long, thin, badly lit corridor. There were no room doors along it except one right at the very end. A single light worked, and it illuminated this door like a beacon of hope. They stared walking towards it.
As they made it halfway to the door the walls either side of them lit up. They weren't walls, they were windows, and, with a flash of light from the rooms behind them, there stood, illuminated hundreds of bodies stacked against the other side of the windows. The corpses were lying against the windows so they faced into the corridor like sentinels on guard. In an instant all of their eyes sprang open. But they did nothing else. Just stared at Seth and the girl as if they could simply will them away with their stoney gaze.

The door at the end of the corridor began to open...

Maria:

They were warnings. As the door opened she saw it. My god. SHe hated seeing that thing. She pulled the boy back behind her as a dark, huge creater escaped the bounds of the doorway. He was masive. SHe looked up at the face as it's head lowered. "You seem on guard, Maria," The thing said to her.

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I? You're all too much to battle alone and I'm not sure if this one could help," She said, pointing back at the boy. He hadn't ducked down though. Braver now. Good.

"Well. Do you wish to fight still?" The thing purred.

"Hell no. Not in a million years."

"Well... too bad." And with that a paw came down on them and they fell down. DOwn into darkness at first but it grew dim as they landed on soft sand that caresed their cheeks. It blew around them as though it was atatching. "Now you have no choice," The monsterous thing growled.

"Your so damned," Maria mumbled as she got to her knees, staring up at the monster the whole time. "Get that by you," She told the boy pointing to an object by his side. It had sliped the spell to keep it hiden.

Before the boy could even look over the monster sweeped a paw at her and she went flying. She smacked a wall unseen and nocked down to the sand. She strugled to get up. Holding her side she stared up at the dark monster. "Give me the damn wepon!" She cried, holding out her hand.

*Make it a good wepon please*

although hurt by how useless she thought he was, he grabbed the weapon and threw it to her.
As it sailed through the air it shone with a golden light that somehow made the viewer feel stronger just through watching its journey.
It was a great golden spear, at least six and a half feet long. It's head was pure diamond, the tip sharpened to such a sharp point it actually cut through the very air it passed through. The designer must have been insane though (or at least wanted to make sure the job got done) as just below where the one foot blade met the handle, two great silver blades protruded out which curved up and round so that the two tips finished two inches ahead of the diamond blade. To make matters worse (or better depending on what end of this beast of war you were) these blades were serated and appeared to have some kind of vapour pouring out of them.
it landed cleanly in the girl's hand and she swung it round ready to fight the oncoming creature.

Seth scrambled round for a similar weapon but all he could find was this blasted sand which swirled up in great clouds with every movement he made.

*i tried to make the weapon as spectacular as possible, sorry if it wasn't what you were expecting :/ and sorry for the shortness, figured you have a better idea of where this fight is going than me*

*It's all good.*

Maria:

She spun it around. Once. Twice. SHe watched the demon- scratch that- hell hound. It lingered where it sat for a minute and then looked over at he boy for a second. He went for her first. One swip. Maria blocked it with the spear. It created a huge gash un the underneath of it's paw. It cryed out as another swip came unoticed. She gave a short scream as spear sharpened claws entered her side and flung her against the wall again.

The hell ound turned for the boy. S- Maria didn't even continue her thought as the thing advanced slowly on the boy. "Hey stupid!" Both the boy and the hound turned their attention to her. The spear went flying and the hound scrambled for it. It managed to make it to the boy and as he grasped it it glowed like a light blulb. * :D ~Rud off the red nose raindeer....~*

As the light died down the boy held a sward. Silver as the moon- maybe even more. The hilt held a dark red gem that twinkled even with out the help of the sun's light. He looked over to the girl quickly but she was uncouncious, a light glowing about her. Co;uriousity struck him of the light as he turned to the hound, ready for a fight.

*Here you go* SHow Maria your guy isn't a scardy cat :P  *

*thanks*

Seth

He felt the weight of the sword in his hand...or rather, he felt its lack of weight. Regardless of its size, the sword weighed no more than a feather and Seth easily swung it round his head to show the beast his prowess with a blade. Time to fight he thought.
He dived forward and swung the blade up and cut off one of the tendrils snaking out of the beasts back. It came clean of the thing and flailed away into the darkness. A soft "squelch" confirmed its contact with solid ground.

The beast barely noticed and it wasn't long before it swiped a paw the size of a car at Seth. Instinct took over at this point and he ducked under the paw with barely a second to spare. He came up very close to the beast and swund the sword round and buried it almsot up to the hilt in the creatures leg. The monster gave out a roar like the sound of thousands of babies crying as Seth ripped the sword out of its leg and retreated a few steps, ready for the next stage of the battle.
The hound swiped at Seth again, this time with its mammoth tail. Again Seth dodged the strike with seconds to spare and this time came up right in front of the beast. He was not so lucky with the second paw strike, and this hit him square on; sending him flying almost ten feet from the hound.

He got up quickly, gasping as he felt several bruises begin to form on his side where he had fallen. He just wanted this to be over damn it! Calm he told himself. This was no time to let anger cloud his judgement. He could do nothing but think clearly or he would surely fail.
The beast was upon him again. A great paw came down and it took all his strength to dodge it. He slid away and under the hounds tail, coming up behind it. He stabbed the blade into the beasts side and used it to propel himself up and onto the creatures back. Ignoring the beasts thrashings, he placed both feet in a sturdy position and, raising the sword up above his head, he thrust the whole thing into the back of the monsters neck.
It howled in pain. The whole hound swelled before imploding into a cloud of black smoke which quickly dispersed into the surrounding air.
Seth dropped to the ground, exhausted by the battle. Though he feared that wouldn't be the end of his troubles that night. He looked down at the sword as it began to shine again. When all the light was gone all that Seth was holding was an oval shaped emerald no bigger than a baseball. Handy he thought.
Then Seth noticed the girl.

How long had she been awake?

Seth

Although wondering whether Sara would be annoyed by him following some other girl to her room, he decided to stick with this girl (who's name he still didn't know) as she seemed like his only friend in this crazy hell-hole at the moment.
So they made their way back through the winding passages of the hotel back to its reception hall, where they found people in all possible stages of Emo and...Sara?!

Seth

Seth just stood there (stunned at the sudden appearance of Sara) for a few seconds before finally snapping back to reality and returning her embrace.
Wow he thought. She looked good, she felt good, she...Snap out of it! he told himself, Why is she here?.
Upon repeating this question to Sara she replied "I thought I'd lost you! I just woke up one day and you were gone. No explanation - even your parents didn't know where you'd gone - just me...alone."
"I'm really sorry," Seth replied,"I didn't mean for it to be like this. I just had...some stuff I needed to work out." He knew his excuse sounded poor, but he couldn't think of anything else to say to her yet.

"Who's this?" Sara enquired, pointing at the mysterious girl who Seth still didn't know the name of.
"Oh, um Sara this is..." Seth looked at the girl.
"Maria" the girl replied curtly.
"Ok. Sara, Maria. Maria, Sara." Seth went through the basic formalising ceremony.
"Sara" Maria aknowledged her through a small nod.
"Oh and...Sara's my girlfriend." Seth thought that might be important.
Either Maria was very good at self control or she really wasn't bothered by this news.
"How did you meet?" Maria's [first] quesion broke the awkward silence.
Sara got in before Seth: "Well..."

*sorry, not really sure where to take the story from here. Is it meant to be more of a horror than a soap? I'll let one of you decide*
"This is my plan of attack"

"Hmmm, looks more like a pin to me"

"No, it's definitely a tac"
