Audra

An hour later, I sat in my own room, thinking again.

Kissing Kai had been as glorious and exciting as always, but he had been distant, thoughtful, distracted...What could possibly be on his mind? What was he hiding from me? It had to be something...

An hour later Kai left for the mall. Three years ago today was the day he and Audra met, so today was their anniversary. Knowing Audra, though, she'd probably just forget, so he decided to surprise her by buying her some flowers. His classes had finished for the day so he had the rest of the day to himself.

As he was walking back to the campus he remembered something. Somewhere nearby was a streetlight where a girl had died in a car accident. She had only been eight years old. Her ghost had yet to move on, so everyday after classes Kai visited her to keep her company.

He came to the spot where the girl was supposed to be. Beside the streetlight was her ghost. She was happy to see him because she was waving. Kai smiled as he approached. "Hello, Kyra. How was your day today?" he asked.

"Five dogs and two cats walked by my streetlight today. One of the dogs started chasing a cat!"

"Really?" Kai said, "Then what happened?"

The girl frowned and said, "One of the dogs started peeing on the streetlight. I told it to go away but it kept peeing anyway!"

Kai laughed. "I'm sorry to hear that." He saw a vase with a withered flower in it. He took the old flower and replaced it with one of his own from the bouquet he bought for Audra.

The girl noticed the bouquet and asked, "What are all those flowers for?"

"My girlfriend and I first met three years ago today," Kai said. "I'm going to surprise her by giving her these flowers."

"That's so sweet!" The girl said. She suddenly covered her eyes and started crying.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Kai asked.

"Nothing," she said as she wiped the tears away. She looked up at him and asked, "Kai, you'll visit again tomorrow, right?"

Kai smiled at her and said, "Of course."

I was about to head off for something to eat when I noticed a man a little way down the street, talking to what seemed like a lampost. I walked as far as I could to the edge of the campus without having to step onto the mainstreet, and waited for him to come back.

'She a friend?' I asked. He frowned at me, a look of question across his face.

'Who?'

'Kyra. She seemed upset.' His eyes widened slightly.

'You can see her?'

'Kind of.' Well, not really, but I could easily imagine seeing her. 'We've never actually met.'

'Then how do you know her name?'

'Just heresay from the others I guess. Anyway, I'm hungry. Nice meeting you.' I took a few steps backwards before turning to skip away.

Kestrel

"Yeah, clubbing can be fun but... wont you come, Stella? It would be nice if there was someone else I knew," Kes replied with a small smile.

"Now you have to come!" Sally exclaimed. "It would be rude not to." Stella laughed and Kestrel cocked her head to one side, smiling at the sound.

"You have such a pretty laugh," she said. "I bet you have beautiful, curly, blond hair and bright, shining blue eyes."

"You've got the curly right," Sally replied with a smirk.

"Wait-" Kes cut in, "-don't correct me."

"Why?" Stella asked, confused. Kestrel stood and crossed to the wall in silence, running her fingers tentatively across objects.

"That's how I see you. And this-" she picked up an alarm clock and ran a hand along it- "this is how I see. So are you coming?"

Audra

I jumped when someone knocked on my door. I'd dozed off...

"Hold on," I said, standing and stretching. I moved to the door and opened it to find Kai there. He had something behind his back...

"Hey, Audra." He smiled as he greeted me.

"Hey, Kai! Come on in!" I held the door wider, letting his enter my suite. He looked around for a moment, taking in the beige walls, burgundy curtains and bedspread, and dragon posters.

I waited to hear his response.

"You did a nice job with the room," Kai said as he looked around.

"Yeah, it's not much, but what're you gonna do? What's that behind your back?" she asked.

"A present." Before she could ask what it was for he handed her a beautiful bouquet of roses. "Happy anniversary, Audra."

Her eyes went wide at the sight of the flowers. The gesture was so sudden that it had surprised her. It took her a few tries before she could say, "Oh, Kai, they're beautiful!" She took the roses and looked at him. "What do you mean our anniversary?"

"Three years ago today was the day we met in high school," he said with a smile. "Don't tell me you forgot?"

She smiled back. "You know how bad my memory is."

"That's not all," he said. "I'm also taking you out for dinner tonight."

(Sure, you can be a proffessor. But you have to be dedicated to this storybook and not chicken out half-way through if you plan on joining in. Everyone else understands that.)

*Sorry for being late- busy day ^_^*

Shiro Hiroshi-

Class was mostly boring and uneventful; Shiro was realized to hear the end of class bell, rining loudly through out the building.

As he gathered his things, everyone else rushed out of the classroom, even the sub left in a hurry. When Shiro finished, he was the only one left in the classroom.

"Wow, everone is gone." He whispered.

Just then he noticed something. There was a little girl standing by the door. Shiro watched her, curious of why she was there. He walked down to see her.

"Hey little girl, why are you here? Where's your parents?" Shiro asked.

THe little girl just smiled. Then turned to face the wall. Shiro's eyes widened in amazment as the little girl walked through the wall and disappear.

The collage student fell to his knees. Deeply in shock, Shiro didn't notice the large shadow of something, walk closer and closer to him.

Shiro Hiroshi-

The shadow exspanded past Shiro. Making him notice the shadow, and the thing getting closer behind him. He quickly turned around, but the thing behind him was gone.

He remained silent, only his pounding heart was heard. Slowly Shiro stood back up, then rushed out of the room.

"What the hell was that?" He wondered as he kept on running down the hallway.

I was still on my way to lunch when I must have chosen the wrong corner to turn. As soon as I did I was knocked backwards by a boy who was speeding through the hall as if he'd just seen a ghost.

He skidded to a halt and turned to me, at first in fear. I sniffled away the pain of falling, and his glare turned to a softer glance as he helped me up.

'Thanks,' I said. His pupils where wide, a bead of sweat on the side of his face, taking short, panicked breaths.

'I'm sorry,' he gasped, checking once behind him before badly trying to fix his posture. 'I was...'

'Don't worry,' I smiled. 'They'll stop chasing you as soon as they realise you don't have Rupert.'

I started walking again to... to... I paused, looked around, and rubbed the steady throb on my head. Where was I going?

Audra

I smiled broadly, blushing. Dinner? He loved to treat me so nicely: aiding me with school and the usual problems, taking me out, just hanging out, loving me...

Yeah, we'd probably do that after dinner. I felt my blush deepen at the thought.

"Audra?" He asked, watching me with that crooked grin.

"Yeah," I nodded. "It sounds great. When should I meet you?"

Shiro Hiroshi-

He felt bad for running into the person, but he was too freaked out to really care. Rushing again down the hallway, Shiro opened a door to the outside.

He had to get ready for gym class.
