Great, just when I think things are going fine, something else happens. My glasses were still on when I turned around and saw that the wind had picked up outside. Another elemental already?

I looked around and saw a gray light around one of the young boys who was sitting at the same table as my student stalker. Great, the elementals we find are going to be psycho stalker children.

Time for my next class… finally.

………….

Sweet, I think all we have to find now is spirit and we are going to be ready to head into Eniyeth the next day! Yay Letters!

(bring on the drama :) )

<<Erica>>

“Erica!” I heard a familiar voice and turned. Then I saw him.

“David?” I asked, walking to him. My brother stood before me and grinned. He handed me some paperwork I needed for a class.

“Forgetting anything?” he said, winking. I reached for it but he snatched it away. I glared at him and tried again.

“Oh, come on. Fork it over David.”

“Your knight in shining armor deserves a hug!” I glared at him, but gave him a hug since he was WAY too tall for me to get that paper any other way. I’m not exactly short, just short enough to get picked on. My theory is that everyone else is just too tall.

“Gimme.” I demanded. He gave me the paper and looked at me. For some odd reason, he smiled and kissed me on the top of my head. Dad always kissed me on the top of my head.

“You doin’ okay?”

“Right up until you pulled that number.” I muttered, glaring at him. He laughed and gave me a hug.

Hey, look who's back.

Sam

After the events that had occurred at lunch, I was extremely grateful I didn't have a class next period. With the discovering of the Elementals, I needed to clear my head out. I made it back to my classroom and shut off the lights, going over to my desk and propping my feet up on the cold wooden surface. I didn't even notice as the door to my room opened a second time without me noticing.

"Sam?"

I looked up briefly. The sky outside was still dark, like it had become at lunch, and thus made my room much darker than it had been this morning when Kneph had entered the first time. And because of the darkness, I was able to see the faint greenish-blue grow surrounding the boy's skinny body.

I was speechless for a moment. Kneph took my silence a different way.

"Uh...sorry if I interrupted anything. I can leave again, if you'd like..."

I shook my head, getting my mind moving again and denying Kneph's offer. "No, no. It's fine. Come on in."

He shut the door and took a seat on top of one of the tables, turning his gaze behind him to the bookshelf in the back of the room. I watched him for a moment more before dragging my eyes away, so not to look suspicious. Already, most of the kids from lunch probably thought I was some sort of stalker.

"Is there anything you need me to help with?" Kneph asked after a moment, breaking the silence between us. "I mean...aren't I supposed to be acting as your classroom aid or something?"

I smiled faintly. "Nah, there really isn't much you could do for me at the moment..." I paused, then blinked. "Actually, there is something. Can you go and find Miss Greene for me, and tell her that I need to see her?"

"I think she has a class at the moment. Should I tell her to get someone to cover for her?"

I nodded. "If you would. Thanks."

Kneph

I followed Mr. Sam's orders and went off in search of Miss Greene's classroom. I found it easily, since it was just right up the hall.

I opened the door and stepped inside to find her teaching a History lesson on Ancient China. I waited patiently by the door until I was noticed.

"What is it?" she finally asked, irritation towards me clear in her voice and eyes as she turned to face me.

"Mr. Sam would like to see you in his room."

"Now?"

"He asked that you find someone to cover for you for just a few minutes. He didn't tell me why."

The woman, who looked to be the same age as Sam, sighed in annoyance and simply nodded. "Yes, alright. Tell him I'll be there in a moment. And it had better be good."

I nodded and left, heading back to the dark classroom I had been sent from.

*******

Sorry about the length. And sorry for my extended absence. Hope this fits.

Jaden-

I followed the student out of my classroom after telling my students to read and answer the questions on pages 76 through 80. I was getting extremely annoyed with today. What did he want now? I knew that his next period was free and I had a full blown monologue to yell at him once I got in the room.

His student aid, Kneph I think, was leading me to his room. The kid was nice, but he was getting attached. I could see it in his multicolored eyes. It wasn’t safe to befriend a mentor. Hopefully Sam remembered that.

I walked into Sam’s extremely dark office. Lovely…

“What do you want Sam?” my tone was crisp and short. He knew that I was annoyed at him.

"You know what I think?" I asked Erica after lunch.

"What?" she said sounding slightly annoyed, but that didn't stop me.

"I bet those teachers are from the FBI." I said in a low voice.

Erica laughed, "Now I've heard everything!"

"Well, do you have a better explanation." I said challengingly.

"Yeah," she said still smiling, "they're aliens from planet X that have come to abduct us all."

"Well," I admitted, "that did occur to me, but I thought the FBI story was a little more plausible." But that just sent Erica of into more fits of laughter.

Erica-

I stopped laughing and actually started to think about it. It was probably just a coincidence, but it was weird how this teacher was teaching almost every class that Haven was in…Haven. For some reason he’d left after David had left. What the heck?

I smiled at the thought really making a friend, however that had happened.

“By the way, why the heck are you still talking to me? I nearly killed you this morning.”

“Don’t know.” He shrugged.

“Guess it’s a bond, I nearly kill you and suddenly POOF, bond formed.” He laughed and I let myself to laugh with him.

Sam-

I turned my head as Kneph entered again, Jaden trailing behind. She didn't look happy.

"What do you want Sam?" she asked, her voice sharp. Yep, definitely not happy.

I assumed an innocent, hurt expression, knowing how much she would hate it. She frowned harder, her eyebrows knitting together in an angry line.

Without looking at Kneph, I said, "Why don't you put your glasses on and look?"

She sighed in irriatation but did what I suggested. She made no comment or any clue as to know that she had seen what I had as her eyes passed over Kneph and continued on. Had I been mistaken? Was it just a trick of the light?

No, I know what I had seen. She turned back to me, gave me an odd look but winked her eye so that the boy standing by the window wouldn't see.

"Seriously, Sam, what do you want?" she asked, but her voice wasn't as sharp as before and I knew she was just covering for me so Kneph wouldn't suspect anything.

"I just wanted to know if you wanted to have dinner with me again tonight," I said, jerking my head in the boy's direction slightly and ending my statement in a quiet cough. She rolled her eyes and sighed again.

"Sure," her voice was pleasant. Thankfully, her back was to Kneph now so he couldn't see her face. If he had, he would've known something was up. "Where at?"

"You pick. Let me know before school is out. I'll pick you up at 7:30 and we can talk about," my voice dropped to a whisper, "the elemental kids."

She nodded and rolled her eyes again.

"Anything else, or can I get back to teaching my class again so I don't get fired?"

I waved. "No, no, go ahead."

She exited in a swirl, leaving Kneph and I alone. The boy didn't seem to be aware of anything else in the world except the blank wall.

"Hey, Kneph?" I called. He blinked and turned to me, one eyebrow quirked in question. "Want something to eat? I didn't see you at lunch today," I reached into my desk and pulled out a bag of potato chips and threw them to him. "I don't know what they compare to where you come from, but I have yet to meet anyone who hates them."

He opened the bag and took a hesitant bite before smiling. "Thanks. Tastes like...well, nothing we have back in Egypt. But it's good."

Well, at least I knew my time wasn’t completely wasted. Finding an elemental kid is important, but now I had to think of an excuse to tell my class.

Everyone looked at me oddly as I walked in the room. “So as I was saying, and as you should have already read, the geography of China is mostly mountainous. Now this poses a problem as their population increases…”

Suddenly the bell rang. Even if Sam called me for a good cause, I wasn’t in the best of moods for him taking away my class period. The students all got up and started to leave as I called out for them to work on page 32. I returned to my desk when something out of the corner of my eye caught something.

I recognized the boy from lunch, he was a senior and was with the stalker child and his friends. He passed by the counter in my room and as he passed, my almost dying plant sparked back to life and bloomed. I quickly shoved my glasses on and saw the signature.

That was it, we had found them all!

……………….
I know the ending was super corny, but I didn’t know how to close.

"Oh great," I thought grumbling to myself as I read the note.

Meet me in the principles office at 3:30 sharp. Don't be late!!
-Miss Jaden Greene

I had only got sent to the principle twice in my life. Once in second grade for "starting" a food fight. (Everyone blamed me for starting it.) And once again in second grade for "fighting". (The second grade bully was actually slaughtering me.) I was pretty good at staying out of trouble after that.

But I couldn't figure out what this could be about. But Miss Greene was one of the stalker teachers, so maybe... but I couldn't let my imagination get a hold of me. There had to be a reasonable explanation.

What did I do? I closed my locker and headed for the office. This teacher really starting to creep me out. I sighed, Oh well.

I knew that I should call my family to tell them I'd be late, but I didn't feel like asking the secretary about using the phone. Glancing at the clock, I saw that it was only 3:00 and I winced. Waiting a half an hour at the school to talk to a stalker teacher wasn't appealing. I took a corner and headed for the library.

I opened the door and smiled as the scent of books rushed at me. My hiding place. After briefly scanning the shelved, I selected a book that I hadn't recognized before now. I sat down at a table and opened the book.

When I'd finally looked up, the clock read 3:31.

"Crap!" I whispered, shouldering my bag and walking as fast as I could to the librarian's desk. She checked it out and smiled at me. I left the library and nearly sprinted for the office.

I was confused to see more eyes than Miss Greenes turning to look at me.

"See, she's here. Everything's fine." Mr. Sam told Miss Greene. I felt blood rise to my face.

"Sorry." I muttered my apology.

Haven

~~~~~
I stuck my hands deep in my pockets as I walked to the principal's office. Stupid stalker teacher.
I was going to be late getting home. My mom would freak out and call the school, the police, the fire department, Aunt Grace...everybody. They were so worried about me these days. Ever since...
"No, Haven. Don't think about it. It just makes you hurt more..."
And then when I got home Dad give me this sad look and say,
"I don't know what's going on Haven. I can't help you if you won't tell me how."
Stupid psychologist dad.
And mom would look at me like she'd been betrayed, and she'd say: "I know it's hard, baby. We all miss her, but, you've got to let yourself heal! You've got to-"
And then I'd run upstairs and slam the door.
I hated going home.
I sighed as I opened the door to the office and saw everyone that was there.
Ms. Greene and Mr. Sam. Two stalker teachers present. Ms. Greene scowled a bit as I entered, but Sam smiled and nodded.
"Just take a seat, Haven. We're still waiting for Erica."
"Erica's coming?"
My heart began to beat fast, and I'm sure I stumbled a bit as I went to sit down.
"She's so cute. I could listen to her talk for hours..."
I quickly shook my head to clear those thoughts, as soon as I realized what I was saying. Erica. Cute. What was I thinking?!
"I was thinking about how beautiful she looks when her hair's wet..."
And then I remembered that guy I had seen her with. Flirting with her. Kissing her.
I scowled and shoved my hands deeper into my pockets as I slouched in my seat, earning a dissapoving glare from Ms. Greene. I didn't sit up.
Instead I turned to look at the people standing or sitting around the room.
There was that guy that I had sat next to on the subway, standing next to Mr. Sam, his stance strong. He reminded me of a prince in a fairytale I read to Allie once after she had a nightmare and couldn't sleep. I couldn't remember the name...
And there was Kaleb, standing next to Dusty, looking nervous and carfree at the same time. Dusty flipped her hair over her shoulder and smiled a little at me when I looked at her, but behind the smile she looked worried.
My eyes glazed over as I looked at the rest of the kids. Some I knew, some I didn't, some I had observed from afar. I realized there were six besides me, all stuffed into this little room. I vaguely wondered where the principal was.
And then the door opened and I turned around to see who it was. My heart fluttered when Erica came through it. She was breathing hard, and looked like she'd just run a mile.
She muttered a soft 'Sorry' to the stalkers and came to sit in the chair beside me. She gave me a small, nervous smile.
I turned away.
~~~~~

I guess no date....oh well....maybe later....

Wow, it feels good to be back...And I can't wait to get going!

The smile disapeared from my face as Haven turned away, What did I do now? I make and lose the same friend in one day. That has to be a record. So what did I do this time?

"It wasn't your fault, sweetie, if they don't like who YOU are, then they don't deserve you."

He had to be wrong...he had to be...it had to be me! Haven was too...well...Haven.

"Welcome, all of you." Miss Greene drolled on.

"Hey." Mr. Sam nodded his welcome.

Some of the others nodded in return.

"I'm just going to skip all the polite stuff. Sam?"

“Can we PLEASE make it into a rap.” He begged.

“No!” Miss Greene scolded. Mr. Sam sighed and they both started to recite together:

“Masters of earth, of water, of fire, of air
Masters of spirit, light, beasts, and darkness
We call thee forthwith to Eniyeth
To restore the peace that once dwelleth there.”

"What?" I said along with several other people. I tried to stand up, but suddenly my whole body was paralyzed. There was a terrible roaring which seemed to come out of nowhere; and along with it a came horrible pulling sensation. I was fighting it as hard I could, but I couldn't breath, and I was starting to slip into unconsciousness.

But suddenly above the noise I heard a voice, "Don't fight it!"

I don't know why I trusted that voice but I obeyed. I was pulled into a whirlwind that spun me down into an abyss. Words seemed to be circling about me in a language I didn't know; but suddenly I did know, "Welcome to Eniyeth master of Air."

Maki, I'm not sure if there is anywhere where you could fit in. All the elementals have been claimed as far as I know. But I might be wrong on both points. Elise? Everyone else? What do you think? I'm not the creator of this storybook, so I'll leave it up to the rest of you.

Kneph-

Sam and Miss Greene recited a short saying as the wind in the room, which had been stationary seconds before, picked up into what could have passed as the center of a tornado. There was a dull pulsing in the air and I struggled desperately to keep my body in place as it felt like it was being torn in five different directions. A moan of pain escaped my lips but was lost in the howl.

"Don't fight it!" someone near me shouted over the wind. I tried to hold myself together a moment longer before finally letting go. Something in the voice said I should trust what it was saying. And so I did.

Moments later, everything was still. The wind was gone. The only sound was my own labored breathing. I cautiously moved my arms and legs, making sure they were still attached. I opened my eyes slowly, not having realized they were closed, and looked around me in wonder.

"Welcome, Master of Spirit, to Eniyeth" said a powerful voice that came from everywhere...and nowhere.
