Trinity looked at the dress again and smiled, her clothes were getting dirty.
"Isn't it pretty." She smiled looking at Colt.
Colt--
"Very much so, a pretty dress for a pretty girl. Now, pretty girl, I have to go make you a lean-to too." He grinned walking to the woods. "I'll put it some what close to Inez's. If she doesn't mind."
"I don't mind," I said smiling. I usually wasn't good with kids, they cried too much. That's probably why I liked Trinity, she hadn't cried half as much as I had. Which made me feel pathetic. But I kept a smile up, for them both.
"Let's go see those flowers while he works." Trinity smiled,
"Let her rest, Trinity, then y'all can see the flowers." Colt said walking away.
Colt--
Colt quickly worked with the wood eh could find. He made the lean-to smaller then Inez's and the medical one. He finished it and went back to count the others that were on the island.
"I'll need a week at least to make enough for everyone if I did it on my own." He sighed, "They'll all need somethign to sleep under tonight." He quickly went to making another large shelter, it was just a roof, but it would be enough until he could make some more.
"You, miss, needs to get some rest. Wouldn't do good for you to get sick." He smiled scooping her up and walking towards where he had built the lean-to. "Maybe, after I get everyone a home, I'll let you teach me how to doctor. Then I'll be abel to help. Until then I think Trinity will be more then willing to help."
I let him escort me back to the lean to he had made me, then watched as he went back to work.
"If he comes looking for me will you tell him I went for a quick swim to wash myself off?" I asked the little girl. She grinned and nodded.
I walked to the river through the woods. It was a gentle current, but a decent one, and all freshwater, I wouldn't ruin my clothes this way. I stripped my outer ones off and stepped in.
Colt stopped after he finished the covering. He was possibly going to be able to finish one for two other people. He looked around for any couples. That would make it better. He didn't see any and he ran a finger through his hair. He needed to find something to drink. He slowly walked towards where he had heard a stream and he looked at the ground making sure he didn't step on a snake or anything. He looked up when he heard something in the water and froze stiff. Inez was washing off,
LOOK AWAY! His mind screamed, but he couldn't make himself move. It was like he was frozen stiff. Please look away!
I made sure all the blood got off of my skin. Grimancing when the cuts on my back started stinging. But I ignored them. When I was done I felt infinately better. I walked over to the suitcase I had taken off the plane. I started to dry off.
Colt swallowed hard and tried to look away. She would kill him, and would never trust him again. He couldn't move his feet though. He tried and tried but he couldn't.
When I finished drying off my underwear was still damp, but I didn't bother taking it off, not really trusting forgin underwear yet. Not until I soaked them for a little while. I pulled on a pair of jeans and went in search for my shirt, it was around here somewhere...
Ah, there it was. I picked it up and pulled it over my head. Taking my ribbon and tying my hair up. I wished I had a rubber band. But my ribbon would have to do. If I got the chance, I'd just cut most of it off it'd be less of a hastle this way.
I started back towards the camp, Colt was right, I wouldn't do anybody any good if I got myself sick. Then I saw him...Colt...staring at me with wide eyes. Oh dear God, what did he see?
Colt met Inez's eyes and his heart sank. He ran a hand through his hair and looked away. He looked back at her and felt his cheeks get red. He opened his mouth to say somethign but he couldn't.
