Kara:
"I'm fine," i replied to the girl, "But the question is, are you?"
I looked at the girl as she nodded and tried to get up. I stopped her before it caused her more pain.
"I don't think either of us is in any condition to get up quite yet," I said smiling, she weakly smiled back. Just then, I remembered my manners, though, after a plane crash, I guess you don't need any. Still, I sat up and said, "Oh, and I'm Kara."
The girl smiled and replied, "My name's Naomi. Didn't we meet on the plane?" I vaguely remembered seeing her walk past me and we introduced ourselves.
"Maybe," I said, "Let my try to help me up." I grabbed her hands and yanked her up, careful not to hurt her wound. Soon we were both sitting up with no problem. A dog trotted next to Naomi and started to lick her arm.
"oh, this is Sadie, my dog," Naomi explained. i nodded and started to pet Sadie.
"She's sweet," I whispered.
"Yeah," Naomi replied. We smiled at each other and pet Sadie for a while until the silence was broken.
