While him walking away maybe made him feel better but it made me feel worse. I went back to my lean to and went inside. Lying down I didn't know how I should feel. Shocked, insulted, whatever other emotions there were.
Eventually, I drifted off to sleep. This time calmed down and almsot amused by the situation. Only one thought on my mind light and teasing. Did he enjoy the view?
Trinity fell asleep in Inez's lean-to before she got back. She was tucked away in a corner with the shadows over her. When she woke up Inez wasn't there and it was morning. She got up and walked out of the doorway.
Colt---
Colt had a restless night. He hadn't gotten himself a lean-to, he had decided to build others theirs first. He slept on the beach, but nothing helped. He couldn't get Inez out of his mind. He frowned and hit his forehead, this wasn't going to help. He got up a little before the sun and got to work with more lean-tos. He looked up at one point and saw Inez walking towards him.
I leaned against a tree as Colt neared, "so..." I said my voice hiding the amusment as annoyance, "I never got an answer to how long you were watching me yesturday."
"I-it was an accident."
I chuckled, "yeah I know you told me yesturday. Did you enjoy the view?"
Colt swallowed hard, "Good." He replied tying two logs together. He really needed to cleard his head. "I really apologize." He said looking at her, he slowly walked around the lean-to and nodded. THis one is done. He sighed and picked up some more vines and walked to another area. He needed to keep working no matter how much he wanted to look at Inez and talk to her.
"If you want to you can keep me company, and hand me vines and such when I need them. Just don't try and build it. I don't want you getting hurt." He said as he found another spot for another lean-to.
"Did you get yours built last night?" She asked as she followed him.
"Nope, probably wont until i get the rest of them built." He said grabbing a log and setting it against a tree. He slowly started building another lean to. "Where did Trinity sleep?"
Colt smiled, "She likes you. That is a good thing. She needs someone other then me to talk to." He sighed, "We're also going to have to do something with the bodies. I dont' want her to have to see her parent's bodies."
Trinity--
Trinity walked towards the plane, she needed to find her bag. She knew Colt didnt want her going in, but it wouldnt take long. She slowly stepped inside and looked around. Her bag was over the seat she had been. She hadn't packed a whole lot, but teddy was in there. She stood up on the seat and pulled the compartment open pulling her bag out. She flew down onto the ground and looked up. There was a sheet covering where her parents had been sitting. Slowly inching towards it she pulled it off. A scream welled up in her throat but she didn't let it come out. Why had they died?
She stood up and walked over to them tears rolling down her cheeks. She spun around, grabbed her bag and ran out of the airplane, she didn't want to see them like that. She should've listened to Colt. She sat down outside the plane and opened her bag pulling teddy out. Clutching him to her chest seh sobbed.
"Alright, if anything is wrong just holler, I need to get these finished." HE sighed, he wanted to stay close to Inez, and Trinity both, but he knew for two totally different reasons. He was attracted to Inez, and not just cause of hte incident the night before. Trinity was like a daughter. He felt he needed to protect her and sheild her from life's unfairness.
Trinity--
Trinity looked down at the bear in her hand and wiped the tears off her cheeks as more replaced them.
"Why did we have to go on this stupid trip!" She hissed at the bear, "Mommy and daddy would still be alive if we didn't, and we wouldn't be stuck on this island."
Just stay strong, honey, you always know how to brighten things up. She heard her mom's voice from a long time before when she first went to school.
You sure do. You have a nack of taking hte bad and making it good. So go and make some friends. I'm sure you'll brighten someone's day. Her dad had added. Tears rolled down her cheeks at the memories.
Part of me wanted Colt to tag along, but I knew he wouldn't. He still had those lean-tos to make. So I went in search of Trinity alone.
I found her sitting outside of the plane hugging a teddy bear and crying. Oh no she went on the plane. My heart went out to the girl and with it I started running towards her. I wrapped her in my arms, not once saying she had t obe a big girl and stop crying. She was allowed to cry. I was almost sure she had just seen her parents.
Trinity wrapped her arms around whoever was with her's neck and sobbed on their shoulder. When no more tears would come she looked up and saw Inez.
"Why did they have to die?" She asked, "Why did we have to crash?"
Colt---
Colt finished the lean-to and nodded, his stomach growled and he frowned, they would have to get food.
"Might as well go find some." He muttered, he started to the plane, he would get his knife and go hunting, set up a few traps and try and kill a rabbit or two if he could find them. A snake would work for that fact.
