Colt saw Inez sitting by the plane holding Trinity, her face was tear sticken which put alarm into him. He ran over and looked at Trinity, she had a teddy bear in her hands.
"Did she go in the plane?" He asked softly, Inez nodded and his heart sunk. He sat down next to them and looked at Trinity. "Honey, I told you not to, now you know why."
"We need to bury them." Trinity said looking up at him. "Please...."
"Alright, we'll do that. Let me go find somewhere we can do that and try to get some food. OK?" She nodded, "How about you and Inez go get some flowers for the graves, would you like that?" A smile came to Trinity's face and she looked at Inez,
Colt walked back to where he found a small clearing and grabbed a log using the sharp end to dig a hole. Once he got past the hard ground he used his hands. He had to pull his shirt off to try and keep it some what clean. He got the first hole done and started on the next,
Trinity--
Trinity pulled her to the flower patch and they picked two hand fulls then started back.
"Look there is Colt!" She said pointing to Colt. He was digging a hole in the ground.
"There he is," I said and even though I knew I shouldn't, I couldn't stop myself from admiring his chest. He was ho-no bad Inez! But even scholding myself didn't stop me.
What took my attention away was Trinity pulling at my shirt, "let's get lots of flowers!"
"Good idea." Something to keep me from staring at him.
Trinity put her stak down next to a rock and took Inez's doing the same. She pulled her back to the flower patch.
Colt--
Colt finished the last hole and grabbed his shirt pulling it back on. He walked back to the plane and carried the two bodies back covering them up with a sheet. He mentally counted the rest of the bodies. There were at least ten. Alot of bodies to deal with.
I saw that Colt put his shirt back on, and was a little disappointed. It was one thing for him to be oogling me while I was bathing, but me oogling him while he was working...wait maybe I had it backwards. Well..whatever.
Colt saw Inez and Trinity walk over, both had arm loads of flowers. Trinity looked at the two covered bodies and tears sprang to her eyes. He walked over sheilding her from the site with his body.
"We can bury them with out you here then you can put the flowers on the grave if you want." He said gently.
Trinity--
"No, I want to be here. It's ok." She said wiping tears from her eyes. "Can I cry though?"
Colt smiled at Trinity and walked back to the bodies. He slowly lowered her mom in first and then her dad. Trinity laid her arm load down and looked down at the bodies, she took a deep breath then walked to one of the piles of dirt tears bluring her site. She helped Colt put the dirt in the holes even though she wasn't much help just cause she couldn't see.
Colt--
Colt couldn't help but let tears ot of his eyes. He covered both holes and packed the earth.
"Trinity," He said softly holding her shoulders, she was still pushing little handfuls of dirt into the graves. "How about you put the flowers on them, ok?" She nodded, and he pulled her into a hug kissing the top of her head.
"I miss them." She cried, "I know, honey, I know."
Trinity finally stopped crying and wiggled out of his hands. He watched as he walked over to where Inez was and grabbed her hand.
"Help me make the flowers look pretty." She said tugging Inez's hand.
"Can I help too?" Colt asked, Trinity shook her head no.
Trinity--
"You dug the hole," She picked up some flowers, "Men don't know how to make flowers look really really pretty anyways, thats a girls job." SHe sent him a faint smile and walked to the mounds. She saw Colt sit down and watch them.
"Alright, if you want help just tell me." He laughed.
