Lost and Found

Trinity

"That's a lie!" I shouted, "Trinity are you okay?"

"Yes!"

I paused, she was crying! I kept going foward. Oh god don't let me get her sick! She's so young she wouldn't handle it well.

"Go away!" she shouted.

"Trinity, I'm not going to go anywhere until I know you're safe, I love you too much to do that."

Trinity---

Trinity didn't sit up, she just looked at the sky. "No you don't! I'm fine." She growled. She jumped up and looked at Miss Inez. Her face was paler then normal, probably from walking. "I'm just a little girl gettin in the way!"


*GRRRRR*


Colt---

Colt looked around the opening in the woods. He hadn't found Trinity yet. He frowned when he saw the prints from a pack of wolves. He grabbed a huge stick incase they showed up. He needed to find Trintiy and soon.

Inez

I glared at her, "if you were just in the way do you think I'd bother to come look for you?"

She paused concidering this, in which time I slowly advanced foward.

Trinity--

Trinity thought about it for a few minutes. "Cause, Mr. Colt was lookin for me, so you had to." She said crossing her arms. "You can't get close to me, you said so."


Colt---

Colt found a small creek and saw a pack of wolves. He froze. One raised it's head and sniffed. "GET!" He yelled jumping out. THey took off surprised. He saw a small wolf layin down next to the water. Probably a pup, as he got closer he noticed that it wasn't a full wolf. It was at least part dog. He picked it up and looked at one of it's paws that was bleeding. "Come on bud, let's go find Trinity." He sighed stroking it's head.

Inez

"Only because if you get sick to it would kill me. I couldn't stand to see you sick...And besides Colt doesn't even know I know you're missing."

Trinity----

"B-B-But you don't think we're like family!" She said tears rolling down her cheeks.



Colt--

Colt decided he needed to get back and see if she came back. It would take him at least five minutes to get to the flower patch.

Inez

I dropped to my knees in front of her and wrapped her in a hug, "of course I do Trinity! You and Colt are the closest thing to family I've got. I love you both."

Trinity---

Trinity wrapped her arms around Inez's neck tears flowing from her eyes. "You sure?"

"Yes, Trinity,"

"I-I'm sorry for yellin." She said cryin.


Colt--

Colt walked over to where the flower patch was and saw Trinity and Inez hugging. He jumped the fence running over to them. "Where have you been?" He asked hugging both of them the puppy yelping in protest.

"Here." Trinity said looking down at the ground. "I didn't want anyone to find me."

Inez

"But it's all sorted out now," I said "where'd the puppy come from?"

"I found him in the woods."

"the woods?"

Colt---

"SEnse I couldn't find her around here I went out there. He was in with a wolf pack. He's bout half half. But I think he'll be safe." He said stroking the pup's head. "When I chased the others off they left him sense he was hurt."

Trinity---

"C-can I hold him?" She asked, he looked at Inez for permission.

Inez

"So long as he doesn't try to bite," I said smiling.

Trinity-

Trinity smiled as Colt handed her the pup. It just looked up at her. "He has the same color eyes as me." She smiled looking up at Colt.

"I'm pretty sure that's the wolf in him." He smiled. She stroked the pup's head.

"Can I name him?" She asked, Colt nodded, "How about Hopey?"

Inez

I chuckled leaning against Colt, "Hopey?"

She grinned and nodded, "that's a nice name for a dog."

Trinity---

"Plus, I hope you get better." She smiled looking up at Inez.

I barely heard what she said, there was a haze all around me, distorting what I saw and heard and felt.
