Lost and Found

Inez

I sat against a rock by the river and washed myself off. I started to feel less dirty, and it lifted my spirits a tad.

Once I was dried and clothed Colt carried me back to a different lean-to, probably one that didn't have vomit all over the floor.

Colt---

Colt laid her down in a lean-to, he would have to redo the floors in the other one. "Do you feel better?" He asked looking at her.

Inez

"A little," she said resting her head on her arm.

"Get some sleep Inez, I need you to get better."

Colt---

"Tritinty wants so bad to see you." He smiled, "Now, sleep, I need to go fix some stuff." He smiled


*Got to go. I'll be killed if I dont. *

Inez

"Okay," I sighed and closed my eyes. It seemed to take me forever to fall asleep.

Colt--

Colt redid the floor and then went back to INez's lean-to. He watched her slip stroking her hair.


*Grrrr*

Inez

Days went by and I didn't think I improved any. I doubted that Colt saw any either.

"Trinity says hi," he said one day when he came in.

"I miss her."

"She misses you, is there any way for her to see you?"

"We both would have to be wearing masks, mine would be on me, no clue how many germs have been shoved into that."

Colt---

"I think she would do anything to see you." He smiled. She nodded and he handed her her mask. he walked back outside and found a mask type thing for Trinity.


Trinity---

Trinity could hardly stay still when Colt gave her the mask. He led her in the lean-to and she smiled, even though INez couldn't see it.

"How are you feeling Miss, INez?" She asked walking over waiting to see how close she could get to her.

Inez

"I'm doing better I think, little one," I said, "how have you been all on your lonesome?"

"I've been picking flowers, Colt put the fence up for me."

"That's good. No more problems with goats eating them?"

Trinity---

"No, and no mean doggies either." She smiled. "You should come see them. Maybe Colt could carry you there and then you'd be able to get fresh air and see the pretty flowers."

"I think it is a good idea too." COlt nodded looking at Inez.

Inez

I concidered this, I had felt better after my "bath." Maybe it was a good idea. I smiled, though they couldn't see it, and nodded. Colt came to pick me up.

Colt---

Colt picked Inez up and Trinity jumped up. He followed her out to the flower patch and sat her on the ground in the middle as Trinity ran around grabbing several different flowers.


Trinity---

Trinity was so happy they were together. She grabbed as many flowers as she could and then ran back to her sitting down and holding htem out to her.

Inez

I smiled and took them from her, "thank you, it is pretty out here isn't it?"

Trinity flopped down on the ground and grinned under her mask as she nodded.

Trinity---

Trinity laid down and looked at the adults. Colt was sitting beside her smiling.

"If my parents were here it would be perfect." She sighed.

Inez

"If your parents were here they'd snatch you up and get you away from me," I said, "which is what would be best for everyone."

"But I missed you miss Inez!"

"I missed you too honey, but I don't want you to get sick either."
