Lost and Found

Trinity---

"I wouldn't get sick." She said stubbornly. "Plus, I have this mask on and you have that one. It'll be fine. I life being able to see you. Especially with mr. Colt here too. We're like a family."


Colt---

Colt looked at her surprised. He wasn't the only one that thought that. He waited to see Inez's reaction.

Inez

I smiled slowly, "but still, our masks arent the best, it's getting late anyways."

Trinity---

Trinity wanted to cry but she nodded. "Alright, I'll go put some of these flowers in my room." She said grabbing them and hurrying towards her lean-to. She was the only one that thought they were like a family. They didn't really care about her.

Inez

Colt lifted me into his arms, "do you agree with what she said?" he asked.

I nodded, "we do feel like a family, at least to the two of us."

"The three of us."

I smiled, and laid my head against his shoulder, dozing slightly.

Colt---

Colt carried Caiden to her lean-to and laid her down so she could sleep. He would go check on Trinity then go back and take care of her. He changed clothes like he did whenever he went to see Trinity and he had been with Caiden. That way she couldn't get sick, period. He pulled on the door to her lean-to to find it tied shut on the inside.

"Trinity, you in there?" He asked, she never tied her door shut.


Trinity--

Trinity held her knees to her chest rocking back and forth.

"Trinity, you in there?" She heard Colt call.

"Yes." She replied as she kept rocking.

"You ok?" He asked,

"Yes." She was, except she felt all alone for the first time in a long time.

"Can I come in?" He asked tugging on the door one more time.

"No." She replied just as monotoned as the 'Yes'.

"Please."

"No."

Inez

When I woke I started spitting up blood again. When I was finished I crawled away and collapsed against the edge of the lean-to. I started crying, what if Trinity got sick now? What if colt got sick? She couldn't bare it to see either of them sick.

Colt--

"Why not, Trinty?" He called to her.

"BEcause." The same thing she had said the last five times he had asked.

"Alright, I"m going to go check on Inez. I'll be back to check on you though." He said pattig the door then walking towards where Inez was. He saw her propped on the wall crying. "You ok?" He asked running over to her. He saw the blood int eh middle of the floor and sighed. "How much longer until you feel better? This realyl has to be hard on you."

Inez

"Go away Colt," she said "if you get sick Trinity will get sick and I still wouldn't be able to help you. Please don't get sick!"

Colt---

"I haven't gotten sick so far, and you can't fight this alone." He said looking at her but staying away like she had asked. "I need advice too. Trinity wont talk to me. She tied her door shut, I think somethings wrong. Not that she is sick, but I don't know."

Inez

I sighed, more than anything I wanted to go talk to her and ask her what was wrong and cuddle and coddle her like she was my own child. Before I had met them that would have disturbed me, or worried me or something.

I sighed again, "maybe she's upset because I sent you two away?"

Colt concidered this..."Maybe."

"I didn't mean anything of it, I just...it would kill me if you two got sick."

Colt---

"I know that, I don't know if she does." He sighed, "Do you know how much longer it will be until you are better?" He asked, "I want to be able to tell her it is almost over but I don't want to give her false hope."


Trinity---

Trinity snuck out of her lean-to and walked to the flower patch laying in the middle of sighing in contentment. She sank below the tall stocks to where it was imposible to see her.

Inez

I shook my head, "I haven't an idea to a date, but I am getting better, I can feel it. Maybe that will make her feel better. I think it'd still be another week before I'd let her see me again, I won't be contagious by then, we won't have to wear masks."

Colt---

Colt nodded, "Alright, I'll go tell her, then your moving to the other lean-to so I can change out the flooring." He smiled. He walked towards Trinity's lean-to. He knocked on the door and it bounced open. He looked around in it. She wasn't there. He went to the flower patch. She wasn't there either. "Trinity!" He yelled.

Trinity--

Trinity heard Colt calling, she didn't want to talk to him. She didn't want to talk to anyone. She just wanted her parents back. She wanted to go back home. She wanted to be free of this island. And MOst of all she wanted Miss Inez to be better and her and Colt to think them as a family. She wiped tears from her face and sighed.


Colt--

Colt ran back to the lean-tos he had made and looked around in his and then INez's lean-to. She wasn't in either. He ran to the beach, no Trinity, the plane, empty. Her parents' graves, she wasn't there either. He ran a hand through his hair fear coursing through him. He went to the sick area, but wouldn't go to vist Inez, he didn't want her to worry. Trintiy wasn't there either. That left the woods, he shivered. She would be helpless there.

Inez

Even though Colt didn't come in and announce it, I heard what he was shouting about, Trinity was gone? My heart sank I was terrified for the little girl. I pulled on my mask and stood up, I wobbled a little bit, but I managed to get myself to stand. I was going to help him look.

I had no clue where he had looked, so I started at the flower patch she loved, "Trinity!" I called, "Trinity baby please if you're there tell me what's upsetting you?"

Colt---

Colt hurried into the woods without a second thought, missing Inez.


Trinity---

Trinity crossed her arms. She wasn't going to get up. SHe wasn't going to talk to Miss Inez. She wasn't allowed to anyways, she didn't have a mask on.

"Come on Trinity, please." Miss Inez was walking. Trinity couldn't tell to where.

"GO AWAY!!!" She screamed. "YOU DON'T CARE! SO GO AWAY!"
