Lost and Found

Colt---

"Here, here are some shorts. I hope they fit." he said, "I'll go tuck Trinity in, I'll get changed and try to stay dry too." He said picking up the now sleeping Trinity. He sheilded her with a windbreaker he found in his bag grabbing his close and leaving the bag. He ran to her lean-to and laide her down. He quickly dressed and then ran back towards Inez's lean-to the wind breaker keeping his dry.

Inez

I was only half way dressed when Colt came back. I was still trying to dry my hair before putting on my shirt. My blood stilled, my cheeks burned red.

Colt--

Colt spun back on his heel facing the door. "Sorry." He muttered rubbing his arms. He knew his cheeks were burning. "I thought you would be done." He said sitting down but still facing the outside world.


*sorry short**

Inez

My face was burning bright red, I was sure it wasn't going to go away by the time I was done. But I hurried anyways.

"You can turn around now," I said.

Colt--


"You can turn around now." Inez's voice reached his ears. He stood up turning around and looked at her.

"We'll need to find some clothes for everyone." He said looking her in the eye. He had a urge to pull her towards him and kiss her. He fought it though by looking away. It was going to be hard to get through the night.

Inez

I wanted to kiss him, and shamed myself for it. I was confident he was only concerned about me because I was a doctor.

An akward silence ensued.

Colt---

"Um, we should probably get some sleep." He said, he looked at her and couldn't resist the urge anymore. Before he knew what he was doing he stepped towards her his arms wrapping around her waist pulling her close and his head lowering so his lips claimed hers.

SHe'll kill me. He thought. He didn't care, every thing seemed perfect while their lips touched.

INez

I didn't expect what followed his words, his arms came tight around me and his lips came against mine. My heart and mind exploded, and I kissed him back.

He does care!

I clung to his shoulders urging myself closer still.

Colt--

Colt felt her lean into the kiss and his heart soared. She felt the same way!! When they pulled apart for air he couldn't help but smile. He gently kissed her again holding her close. When they pulled apart he smiled. "Please tell me I didn't step over the line." He whispered looking into her eyes.

Inez

"Yes you did," I gasped, "but it was a line I was hoping you'd cross."

Colt--

Colt smiled, "That makes it ok then." He smiled kissing her softly once more. "We better get some sleep." He smiled, she nodded and they laid down. Colt dared to wrap her in his arms and she didn't seem to argue. He felt asleep feeling just right with her in his arms.


Trinity--

Trinity jumped up when she heard the thunder. It was still dark outside and it was lightning and thundering. She jumped up and ran to Inez's lean-to. She saw the adults curled up and she quickly laid inbetween then like she did with her parents. THey barely fit in the lean-to, but it was big enough to let them fit.

Colt--

Colt woke up when he felt Trinity climb between them. He heard Inez moan.

"I think she is scared." He whispered. Trinity's breathing was already even against his arm that she was using for a pillow.

Inez

"Oh," I whispered, readjusting myself to be comfortable again. I sighed contently laying my arm over her and just barely reaching Colt's arm. His hand stole mine. I was okay with that.

Colt---

I'd make this bigger if I knew she would let me stay with her. He inwardly sighed. He didn't want to step over an unwanted line though.

"See you in the morning." He whispered. He slowly fell asleep.



Trinity--

Trinity woke up before the adults and stood up. She sat above their head and slowly started playin with Inez's hair. She brushed it with her fingers gently so as not to wake her up. They didn't look worried while they were sleeping.

Inez

When I woke I was closer to Colt than I was when I fell asleep. And Trinity was playing with my hair. I noted nicely that the rain had stopped and the roof had stood up nicely.

"Good morning," Colt said.

"Good morning," I sighed happily in reply and then I looked up at Trinity, "what are you doing to my hair?"

"Brushing it for you," she said brightly.

Trinity---

"Thank you." Inez smiled sitting up. Trinity scurried behind her and kept brushing her pretty hair.

"You have beautiful hair." She smiled.


Colt---

Colt watched as Trinity 'brushed' Inez's hair. He smiled and didn't want to move or make a sound to interupt the beautiful site. He just ran his hands through his own hair then over his jaw that was getting a little stubby.
