***Pretty much they are going to fight the mages I think. SOmeone had to go back and talk to the mages in the towers and get them to help. Caralina said she would go sense she wouldn't be much help. I think that's where we are.****
"Wait, Christian, before you go flying off with your maiden," I cast Cara an amused glance, "try to think rationally. We will need all the fighters we can get, especially if we run into more mages. Will you really leave the rest of us to fight them all, when it's only necessary that one of you go? Fire can protect her, and I will give her something to prove that she is to be trusted by the tower mages. They will believe her."
Be the cartoon heart. Light a fire, light a spark. Light a fire, flame in my heart. We'll run wild, we'll be glowing in the dark.
I sighed. Everything seemed to be 'on my head' nowadays.
I turned to Cara and smiled reassuringly as I walked up to her, stopping to stand no more than a foot away. I drew an object from a hidden pocket in my robes and dropped it into her hands.
"Show this to the mages and they will know that I gave it to you and you are to be taken seriously and can be trusted. But be careful, some of them are not to be trusted. If you can, try to find Lorayne or Thayne. They're the twins of the tower. They're friends of mine and they'll help you."
She nodded and went over to Christian as I turned to Arabella, Caspan, Kayla and Storm.
"Well, this should be fun."
Be the cartoon heart. Light a fire, light a spark. Light a fire, flame in my heart. We'll run wild, we'll be glowing in the dark.
I heard Cara whisper softly after me, and I stopped, I turned around and said "you too please."
She smiled and nodded. I turned back around and walked away feeling somewhere in the pit of my stomach that this was the last time I was going to see her.
