I posted something on my own story (science fiction section), and that counted as a review. I thought that wasn't supposed to happen?

It happened to me, but later I checked and my Review count didn't increase. After I posted, it said "Your Review Count has increased by one!"... or something like that.

In guestbooks now, there is the option to send people e-mails, whether or not they have that option available. It's in every guestbook I've looked at.

It just started happening today.

I just found a bug with the star rating system. I unstarred, then re-starred my storybook, VG Rumble II, just out of impulse. Including my original vote, the storybook had three stars. But, when I re-starred it, that turned to 4. Curious, I decided to refresh the page and do it again. That time when I unstarred it it went back to 2, but when I re-starred it the vote went to 5. I did it again, it went back to 2 without my vote, but then with my vote it went to 6.

I just thought I should point this out in case I'm not the only one who figured it out. Some people might use this to cheat and give their work 50 stars.

This doesn't go into 2009 and it made me sad!

When I go to post a bulletin, it say I have no notes? How do I get Notes? Is this even a 'bug'?

The hall of fame also doesn't go into 2009.

EDIT:

Okay, that's weird. The BBC codes in my blog aren't working. I just tried to put a bunch of photos up in my blog, all with the code, but none of them worked. I also tried to bold something, but it also didn't work, so I know it's not just the images.

And it's working on the main site. Just not in my blog. I have the BBC codes enabled. I think. >.< I keep unclicking the thing at the bottom of the post that says: Disable BBCode in this post, because it has already been checked. And every time I do it, it checks itself again.

I'm confused.

When I check Blog News directly, I can see Friends Only blogs. When I hit the button to go to the main blog I can't go there, but I can see individual entries.

Three times when I've tried to get on the site it comes up with this:

phpBB : Critical Error

INSERT INTO yws_banlist (ban_ip, ban_reason) VALUES ('d92aa9aa', 'http:BL:51.18.1')

Heh... you're not banninated, TL. Already sent you an e-mail, but this will be helpful to others as well.

For the past couple of months, YWS has been spammed by malicious bots. These are web programs designed to harvest e-mail addresses, and spam the site. YWS already has good protections against them, but they still slow everything down.

To prevent them from even reaching the site, I installed a blacklist. This blacklist is composed of IP addresses of bad bots. TL is having trouble currently because her IP matches the IP that a bad bot had a few months ago. This can happen with dynamic (as opposed to static) ip addresses.

So unfortunately, it's not a perfect system, but without it, YWS would become a lot slower again. There were even times that it was completely inaccessible to some users.

I seem to be getting the same message as TL when I try to access the site from work.

I tried to edit a post, but the coding isn't working for me. I used the [b][ /b] and the [color=insertcolor][ /color] and neither worked. I tried it in the guestbook, and it works perfectly; but not in the fiction thread I was in?
