Huh. I've never done it like that. Interesting though! I'll have to get used to it... Ever since I've coded I've left codes open until I was done with them... I guess that's what you get for learning code on your own.

Thanks!

Same here! It wasn't until a few months ago that I learned that not closing tags until I was done with them was one of the reasons YWS looked different according to what browser you used.

It's not really a bug, but I thought I'd mention that the 'spoiler' button for the code doesn't work any more (it only comes up with 'undefined' instead of the code), and it's been replaced with the 'pre' button. ie., if you want to use the spoiler code, you have to use the 'pre' button. I assume that this is because the formatting system (or whatever it is) has been changed? As I say, it's not really a bug, and once you've found out about it it's easy to change to the other button (I just tend to write out the code anyway), but it may be a bit confusing for new members.

I'm experiencing massive slowdown for YWS. Am I the only one? Because I haven't seen anyone else mention it. All other websites seem to work fine, so it's not my internet connection. :?

EDIT: 'tis all fine now.
I wrote the above just for you.

On the My YWS page, I clicked on the Friends Tab and it came up with the page not found 404 error thing.

Thanks.

I'll be working out all the review bugs this weekend. I tried fixing the save posts as draft bug a few days ago, but couldn't figure it out. Part of the problem is the points code is cumbersome and hard to work through. It's one of the reasons why I do almost all coding on the site myself now (I'm too dumb to do anything fancy, so I keep everything really simple with the code).

Whether your critiques are long enough or not, you're still put on the leaderboard. Possible glitch?

Not really. I realized that "reviews" shorter than 50 words were counted when putting it together, but decided to add that later since it requires some sorcery. But I'm kind of against adding it now because it would negate kitty15's plan. That is, the current way makes it really easy to spot spam reviewers. Then again, it does mean that comments like "Oh, that makes sense now," do get counted, but maybe there's another way around that.

Default, and I've cleared my cache and everything, and it's still there.

When I click the link for the 101 Tips on Writing, I come to the 404 cartoon.

Um. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but when I try to delete a blog post on my blog, it doesn't delete!

It also posts twice!

This happened somewhere at 12:00 - 3:00 am; GMT -4 hours. (Not sure if it's REALLY GMT -4 hours, but I call it the EASTERN timezone if that helps)

I was using INTERNET EXPLORER, though FIREFOX IS in my desktop so maybe that had something to do about it.

THanks for your time and concern!

[I know you're "away" but I might as well report it. I don't expect a response ASAP.]

The script section is being evil to me. I went to post a new thread, so I left my text like this:

Image

as you would in the story sections now, and figured it would add format on it's own, the spaces and so forth. Either I did something wrong (which is incredebly possible) or the coding system doesn't work their either because A) you didn't put it there because scripts don't need indentation or B) something is being funny.

Here is what it looked like when I posted: Link because the image is big.

I just made spaces and so forth, so it's fine, but yeah. [s]Additionally, my script is rated properly, PG, but it isn't showing on the front page.[/s] Nevermind. ^_^

Sorry to bother you, but I was trying to submit a group and it asked me to accept another one. Now, I'm not a mod, so I doubt that's supposed to happen. :)

Edit: It's gone now. Sorry 'bout that - I refreshed a bunch but nothing would help.

JFW, that's most likely 'cause a mod got to it -- it was gone when I went to approve CIA. Speaking of! Either another mod confirmed it when I did, or the forum created itself twice, and I only accepted it once. Thought that was odd.

Suz said she was going to accept - maybe that's the problem?
