R.O.T.C: The Camp!

Chaney thought for a moment, but decided it was only a week...even if she hated it it would be over before too long.

"Sure, I'll be squad leader"

As Adri nodded and headed back to the mess hall, Chaney stayed on the track. She took a seat on the bleachers and took in her surroundings. She could like this, but she could not as well. Maybe being squad leader would help take her mind off things--occupy it.

Kit ate her chocolate bar slowly. It had been nine and a half minutes already and she still had half a chocolate bar left.

Okay, TN, we've had a few come in late, we're still in the Mess Hall (cafeteria), and I just gave the first promotion.

Also, you will not all be promoted at the same time, just like you will not always have the same rank. 'Kay?

Senra just sat and listened keeping her arms crossed. She had seen several people come in late but she didn't pay much attention.

Age: 14 (we've gotta have a youngster, don't we?)
Appearance: shoulderlength, unruly, messy, brown hair
Reason for coming: Parents decided she had 'attitiude problems'
"So what if she stole their car and trashed it?"
Goal(s) in life: to have a real relationship and not die before the age of 30.
Bio: umm...give me a while..

Olivia glanced around, checking out the guys.
"nice..nice..umm..okay..oohh..not too bad" she thought
then got herself together
"wait, nevermind. I'm here to learn and all that *bad word* (tee-hee)
"who cares. There's a hottie over there.. a umm..not hottie over there and a..umm..well who cares about him.."
She was now having a full out conversation with herself. It anyone could get inside her head they would've thought she ahd a split personality or something.
Kobi walked past her.
"hey.." he said to her, walking past,dumping his remains into the trash can.
"h-uh.." she began, but then stopped and laid her head down, surrounded by her arms.
"You are such a dork, livi!" she told herself "Talk to the guy for god's sake!"
"ugh...another bad attempt.." she muttered. "he really is hot though.."
soon she was lost in her own world. Imagining weddings, parties, even children! Yup. She was one weird kid.

Kit looked around the room. Then she noticed somebody from her town. Olivia Miller. Also known as the kid who stole her own parents' car a crashed it. Kit got up and walked over to her.

"Olivia?" She asked. Olivia didn't answer. "Olivia?" She called again. No answer. Kit thought for a minute and finally whispered, "Kobi took his shirt off!" That made her look up.

"Where?" She yelled excitedly. Kit began to laugh.

"You really are one wierd kid." Kit said still laughing.

OOC:If someone could post noticing/introducing my character, that would be great, as it would enable me to actually "introduce" him, so to speak. Until someone mentions him, I have noting else for him to do.

"I'm not weird...well maybe I am..but in a good.um. unique way"
Kit laughed again "Your parents said that, right?"
"No!Well...yeah."
The two of them shared a quiet giggle.
They could see Kobi standing up, walking over to throw something else out.
"Talk to him!" Kit urged
"NO WAY!" Olivia replied (maybe just a little too loud)
"He's never gonna like you if you don't talk to him." she whispered, as Kobi
seemed a little too close for her to yell.
"fine" Olivia replied, although she wished she hadn't when she stood up and found herself looking into his eyes. She thought she might faint! He was almost..touching her! "Get a hold of yourself" she coached herself.
"Hi. I'm livi."
Somehow she managed to get something out.

Kit slapped her forehead and stood up. She threw her trash away and walked out. As she looked around she spotted them. Pull-up bars. She sighed with relief and walked over to them. Kit reached up and grasped the bar. She pulled herself all the way up to where she was sitting on the bar. She hooked her legs around the bar and let the bar go with her hands. She hung upside down, watching the mess hall to make sure that nobody would come out. After she decided the coast was clear she began doing different tricks. She let go with her feet only to catch the bar with her hands. Then she swung around the horizantal bar.

"What are you doing?" She heard someone ask.

I chanced a look at my watch. They still had seven minutes left. Then we'd form up and march back to the barracks, where'd I talk to them further...

Wonderful. A bunch of kids with problems, all under my instruction and supervision.

This week will be great. Exciting, definately.

"Hi. I'm Livi" a short girl with crazy dark brown hair said to Kobi as he went out to throw out the remains of him MRE the guard had given him.
"Oh, uh hi. I'm Kobi" he said, with an ever so faint trace of an accent, extending his hand. "So why are you here?"
"Oh uh, well my parents sent me here to um, well you know...." Livi responded.
"Yeah. To get you ready for the army, right" Kobi said, forcefully, not fully understanding the American mindset yet.
"No, silly. To 'straighten me out'" she said, rather embarrassed. Kobi just looked at her blankly, because despite his excellent english, he did not understand every American slang term.
"Straighten you out? What means that?" he said, in his confusion slipping into improper syntax.
"It means to discipline someone in a very dramatic way" Livi said, chuckling at Kobi's lack of understanding. "Where are you from that you didn't know that? I thought everyone did"
"I'm from Israel. I moved here last summer when my dad got a job at the counsulate" Kobi said.
"Oh thats cool. Your English is very good," Livi said, obviously layering on the compliments.
"Oh, thanks. I studied it since 3rd grade" he said.
"Well, I'm kind of excited for this week. I did something like this two years ago in Israel with my school and it was really fun. We even got to fire the guns. Do you think were going to get to shoot the guns here?"

Olivia's eyes widened (sp?). Well..he might be cute but he certainly didn't know what was going on.
" No way! Even if they had guns I wouldn't touch one! Do you know how dangerous they are?"
Dramaticly (yes I know, another spelling mistake. I stink at spelling), she raised her arms over her head and dropped them in frustration. She sighed and walked away.
Kobi watched her leave. He cursed under his breath in (....Israelite?Israelish?) "There go another one" he muttered.
Olivia glanced over at the pull up bars.
"what on earth is she doing?" she thought to herself.
Olivia walked over to the bars to find out what she was doing.

I heard the girls' comments. Funny...they though we might be shooting the rifles. I wouldn't even dare think the other word anymore...gun was a quick route to push-ups for me!

"No, we won't be handling the rifles. They're off limits for high schoolers," I responded mildly, loud enough for everyone to hear. "But we will be doing everything else, from the rappel tower to the obstacle courses and map-reading."

Olivia stared at Kobi as if saying "HA! Told you!"
He got the message.
