Sano and Kersko mad their way through the barren, but rocky field. This had been a place of many battles so the army decided to always keep a company here, though Sano knew that could never be enough. "How much further?"
Kersko took a second to reply, "Should be just over that ridge," He pointed slightly to the left. Sano nodded and sped off that way. They stooped atop a small high rise hiding behind a boulder. "Only ten, I was wrong."
"Don't worry about it. Here, I'm glad you were." Kersko gave him a nasty look and Sano looked the other way. "Well, how should we do this?"
"There humans, Attack and over whelm them quickly." Sano nodded and they each went to a separate side of the boulder.
Sano jumped out first taking one by complete surprise. He then took out another one with a recoil. Kersko jumped out a second latter as a wolf attacking one's throat. He then leaped, turned into a human, and brought his sword down. Four down, six to go.
One had his own sword and attacked Sano, but he was quickly over powered. The other five took out guns and prepared to fire. Sano quickly turned into a dragon a kicked up a lot of dust. The men fired blindly. When they stopped firing all was quiet, but only for a moment.
Kersko burst out as a wolf and Sano flew out of the dust coming down as a human. The last few died quickly. Sano glanced at Kersko, "Report this to the others, I'll poke around and catch up to you."
Kersko nodded and ran off in wolf form. Sano looked around at the corpses. On one of the jackets was a symbol of a green dragon, "Hikaru, it is you." That's the last thing he remember because after that he fell to the ground out cold.
