(Yes)

Sano sat there eating his steak glancing at the other two dragons every once in a while. The girl seemed tense and the guy seemed aloof at times though Sano could tell they were both on guard all the same.

"I'm surprised there are others like me."

The girl cringed and the guy gave a convincing smile, "We are not that easy to defeat brother," The male said stuffing his face again.

Sano smiled slyly, but Geomana gave him a stern look saying no. Sighing he said, "I thought Hikaru killed all of our houses, how'd you escape?"

(Now maybe others can post.)

Karana

I put my fork down, looking at my hands.

My vision flashed. They ran, screaming everywhere. Blood made rivers in the street.

"Excuse me. I'm sorry." I rose from my chair and walked from the room.

It was too soon. I couldn't speak yet. I couldn't face my fears yet.

Reiko watched as Karana left the room, nerves strained. If people wanted to be alone, they wanted to hide something. He had left rooms several times to lay some sort of trap or connect with the police. He put down his fork, too, but slipped the steak knife in his pocket. Just in case. He had promised Geomana that he wouldn't use violence...except in extreme times.

hopefully he'd be able to keep his promise.

Reiko stood up. "I...need to use the bathroom," he said lamely, and left the room.
Give me time, i'll crit your work XD I promise.

Sano watched as Reiko motioned for the door, but when he opened it a young boy stepped in. "Who're you?" Reiko seemed to have no patients.

"A, a messenger sir. I'm with Zeta company, up at the North ridge."

Sano was on the edge of his seat now, "What happened?"

"We found a large number of the enemy sir. Too many for us to take. We need reinforcements, anyone."

Geomana was about to volunteer, but Sano spoke first, "I'll go. Reiko, you up for it?"

"But Sano..." began Geomana, but she was cut off by her brother.

"I'll go." The male dragon stood up, "Time I did something productive."

"ANd I am going too," Geomana said, rising to her feet, "its about time I showed how useful I can be."

Sano pulled her down around the waist and onto his lap, "no, you're not."

She glared at him, "yes I am, its about time I did something useful too."

"The most useful thing you'll do," Kresko said, "is stay safe."

"I'll be perfectly safe," Geomana protested.

"IN battle?"

"As a nurse," she said, "there are never enough nurses."
I just lost the game.

Karana

I had to stop. I couldn't turn my back on them now. Even though I was afraid, I had to help them.

"I'll go, too," I turned back around, striding slowly for the door, eyes on the ground.

Reiko and the others stared at me in surprise.

I looked up. "I may have secrets, but I will aid you in battle. That is...if you wish it."

I waited for their response.

Sano sighed, "Alright."

"What!?" Kresko rose to his feet, "No!"

"Let me finish. You can go Geomana on one condition."

"What?"

"You only go on the recon mission. When we truly go intobattle you stay back alright?"
I will always fight back, no matter what.

Karana

I smirked.

"Or you can let me watch her."

I hoped my proposition would lighten them up. They were too tense, and coming from me was saying something.

Geomana smiled and kissed his cheek, "I am satisfied with that, at least for now." But she looked over at Karana, "but I may take you up on that offer, only to make them feel better though."

She turned back grinning to Sano, who's face looked cross but at the same time like he was resisting the urge to laugh. "We'd better get going then shouldn't we?" he said and they all rose and headed for the door.
I just lost the game.

Sano looked at everyone. They all nodded including Kersko, "I'm not letting you go without me this time." Geomana just gave him a playful smile.

Sano stood up and walked to the corner of the room picking up his sword. He picked up a pistol and threw it to Reiko who strapped it around his belt. Lastly he handed a dagger to Geomana, "Be careful."

She gave him a quick kiss, "Of course."

Sano looked at Karana, "I trust you with her safety."

She smiled and nodded, the other smiled with his arms crossed, Reiko finished strapping his belt, Rie placed a dagger in her boot, and Kersko prepared a small sack of food. Sano strapped his father's sword to his back, "Son, lead the way."

"It's only a mile or two to the north." Everyone fallowed, eyes open.
I will always fight back, no matter what.

Karana

This was it. I would have to do it, even though I shook on the inside. I had to face my fears, to conquer the demon within me...

A roar pierced the silence, my claws covered in blood...but yet, I couldn't stop.

I shuddered, brushing the memory aside. I had to focus. This couldn't be like the last time, that couldn't happen again. I would succeed.

I took my place at the back of the group. I was good at detecting attacks from behind, ergo I would be more useful in the back.

They all walked in their human forms, it wasn't an unbearable walk, but Geomana wanted to run so much more. But at long last they arrived at the camp. Geomana and Sano went straight to the front where they met with one of the officers.

"I'm a nurse," geomana said before even introducing herself. "You can never have enough nurses."

He looked at her, "you're right, we never can can we?" He turned to sano, "Sano! thank god!"
I just lost the game.

I took in the sights around me. This was definately your typical battle field...wounded were trying to pull away from the field, while those able cried over their passed loved ones. Blood wreaked, tickling my nose, and the look of it sent chills down my spine.

Blood ran like a river in the streets.

I exhaled sharply, tearing my mind away from the flashback. I couldn't lose nerve now. I had to be at the top of my game. I had to be useful.

I sniffed the air and smelled the strong scent of blood. My eyes confirmed what I smelled; people lay on the ground dead or dying. "This place smells of death," I said.

"No dip, big brother," Geomana said, "it's a battlefield, it's supposed to."

"Well, let's go," I said and pulled out my sword and walked deeper in the place of death.

Sano put his arm on Geomana's shoulder, "Stay here."

"Only until someone needs me."

Sano looked up to see Kersko walking foreword, sword drawn. Sano did the same, "You smell something?'

"Yeah, humans. about twelve of them. To the East." Kersko pointed.

"Right. Kersko and I'll take care of the scouting party. Reiko, take the others and discuss a battle plan. We'll report back soon."

Reiko nodded and grabbed Geomana's arm. She gave Sano a sorrowful look, but Sano returned it with a smile. She seemed eased and left willingly.
