Colt chewed on his lip and looked out the front window.
"Well, my dad always liked to throw big parties. Well, one night he had a few friends over that were, well out of ordinary. He didn't know that and wouldn't have thought that at all. But, one of them. I don't know which, jumped me when I was going outside. I never relized what happened until I woke up. I don't know why they changed me, but here I am." He replied.
Caiden and Colt walked into McDonalds with the rest of them, their hands intwined. The whole group took a booth in the back, Slade grabbing a chair and pulling it up to the end.
"So other than weaponry what do we have planned?" he asked before biting into his burger.
"Lets find a place to lay low, don't invite trouble," James suggested.
"Sweet, that sounds like a good idea," I agreed, scooting in next to James and resting one of my hands gently on his thigh. I hoped he wouldn't mind.
I watched the others eat, seeing the same longing in Colt's eyes. That was the worst part about being a vampire...we had no desire for real food. Just blood...ugh. It was quite a pain sometimes.
James ate a fry (the best part of a McDonalds meal) and offered me one. I gave him a critical look, pretty much suggesting that he was insane.
"It isnt' to bad. You have to come with me at least once. I wouldn't take you anywhere that you would get hurt." He grinned smiling at her. "Course it really isn't as dangerous as vampire hunting, sorta."
Caiden smiled like a fool, "depends on how you look at it."
He slanted her a confused glance, "whatcha mean?"
"When I'm vampire hunting I'm prepared for the possibilty of dying. Mudding I'd be expecting to stay safe because I'm with you." she paused to eat another fry that she'd stashed in her jacket, "so anything but vampire hunting could be concidered dangerous because i'm not on my guard."
"I get it." he made a sharp turn and then pulled to a stop.
"Are you trying to prove I should ride with you?" Caiden demanded, Colt shrugged and opened her door for her grabbing her hand and leading her up to the apartment, the others following. When he walked onto his floor Brent stepped out of his apartment and glared.
"Where have you been?" He demanded, he saw the others and clampt his mouth shut.
"Busy," He replied opening his apartment, "Come on."
