The Random Vampire Story [1]

As Caiden ate and chatted she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to eat with Colt, either with normal food or blood.

She paused for half a second when she realized what she had just thought, she didn't mind becoming a vampire.

"Colt..." she said slowly, "what would you think of me becoming a vampire?"

Colt blinked twice. He shook his head,

"Excuse me?" He stuttered.

"What would you think?" She asked, looking up at him.

"Well...." He took a deep breath, " On one hand it would be wonderful cause I could be with you forever, on the other I wouldn't want you to be unhappy." He said smiling at her, hoping that was the right answer.

Caiden looked down at her plate, "I wouldn't be unhappy, for reason a." She shoved another peice of bacon in her mouth. "Can vampires still eat human food?"

He nodded, "only for pleasure though, it doesn't provide nurishment."

She grinned, "I'd still get to have my chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, how could I be unhappy like that?" but then there's your best friend, and everything you know will eventually fade away, except him.

Colt ran his fingers through his hair. He hadn't been at all prepared for this.

"What made you ask that?" He asked, not knowing what else to say.

Caiden shrugged, "I was just thinking about something and..." she shook her head feeling far too foolish to tell him what she was thinking about.

"This is certiantly strange," Brent said from the door, "A vampire wanting to become a vampire hunter." The strange glint in his eyes made the hairs on Caiden's neck stand on end.

"Brent, mind your own business." Colt hissed at the older vampire. "And you got your sentence messed up. Now get out of here." Brent shrugged and walked out of the room.

"Sorry." Caiden mumbled.

"For what? You never got to finish what you were saying. Continue." He urged her as nicely as he could.

"I imagined what it woud be like for us to eat dinner together and I realized I didn't care what we were eating."

"Feeding isn't all that pleasent," he pointed out.

Colt stomach seemed to growl as if on que.

"I"m sure it isn't," She muttered. Her sent touched his nosterials and he quickly stopped breathing. He needed to feed, and soon.

"I need to go." He said standing up. "If any of them give you any trouble don't feel bad to kill them." He smiled,

"Where are you going?" She asked,

"You reminded me I better get something to eat or I'll lose control." He replied pulling his trench coat on.

Caiden stood up and followed him to the door, wanting to be near him for as long as possible. When he turned around as he opened the door she pushed a kiss to his cheek, she was about to whisper for him to be careful but his eyes glowed with reconizable blood lust. Before she could react and back away his eyes turned fearful and he shoved her away to land on the couch by Slade.

Before he said another word he flew out the door and slammed it behind him, and Caiden shivered and collapsed, her head landing in Slade's lap, tears spilling out her eyes.

Colt-

Colt walked quickly outside. He hurried as quickly as he could to the local prison. A guard let him into the cell of a convicted murderer where he drained the life from the man getting his fill. He hurried back outside before anyone else showed up and took a deep breath. He walked back to his apartment slowly. He was full now, he wanted to check on Caiden, he hadn't mean to shove her away but it was the only thing keeping him from feeding from her, her blood smelled SO wonderful. He stepped in the door. Caiden was curled up on the couch next to Slade who was glaring holes into him when he walked in. He didn't dare get close to him right now. He would have to talk to Caiden later. He walked onto the balcony and looked out over the area. Did she really want to be a vampire, oh how he wanted that, but he wasn't about to force her to do anything, ever. He deffinatly was going to change her when she didn't want to be. He hated that he had been.

Looking over at Caiden, she nodded at him, and he walked over to Colt who was standing at the balconing.

"Me and Caiden have been thinking." said Slade slowly, so not as to give himself away.

"Yeah, i figured as much." he said.

"Well, we both figured that if she was to be a vampire, that im going to have to be one too. Theres no way that im going to let her go unprotected for any manner of time. You turn her, its 2 for 1."

Colt looked over at Slade and smile, and Slade smiled back.

Colt-

Colt looked at Slade, was he serious. "Caiden agrees with this?" He asked,

"Yea," Slade replied,

"Not that I doubt what you say, but I wont change her with out her permission coming from her." He replied, Slade nodded, "Let me go talk to her." He said walking past Slade and walking to the couch. He stopped ten feet from it. "Do you mind if I sit down?" He asked gently.

Caiden looked up at him and grabbed his hand and pulled him down snuggling close to him. His arm stole around her in a gentle way.

"Do you really want to become a vampire?" he asked.

Caiden nodded, "yes, I want to be with you always."

"Alright, we will have to wait, until we deal with the werewolves." He said pulling her close. He breathed in deeply.

Caiden could agree with that, "so what's being a vampire like?" she could hear him inhale and strangely wasn't nervous in the least.

"It's not that bad, as long as you've got some things planned ahead."

"What's the feeding part like?"

"Don't you know?"

"From the being attacked side, not the attacker side." She pulled off her jacket without realizing what she had done and revealed all the bite marks along her shoulders and arms.
