VG Rumble

Ilum only looked down, "Fun? People died for your fun!" He was taken back by what he said and he turned away. "I'm sorry, my brother, well, it's a long story. Lets just repot to the king." The two just looked at eachother, but ended up fallowing him down the street.

A bit later Raven joined them at the main gate, but she was a little off when they were all looking away from eachother and were quiet. "Should we go see the king now?"

Ilum looked up like he just realized she was there. Nodding he got up and the others followed. They would report to the king.

Karana

I was being sarcastic. I hadn't expected him to react as he did, and I felt a little guilty about it. Yes, people had died, but to protect the city from fell creatures!

I followed them up that dark road to the castle entrance.

(What? You guys waiting for me to give you your first quest? This story is for you guys, you're going to have to make your own quest. I only did the thing with the king because nobody else was starting the story. It's your time to shine.)

Lol. Okay I suppose I could try...

Raven

Upon entering the throne room, the king stood from his chair and breathed a deep sigh of relief.

"Excellent work my brave adventurers and thank you for your help but I'm afraid that I must send you on another mission. Children have been disapearing from the town and local villages. Yesterday, a strange creature was sighted near the cave to the east. I sent some of my guards but they haven't returned. Are you willing to help me again?"

"Of course," I replied.

Karana

"When do we leave?" I asked, hinting that I would try it as well.

"As soon as you're ready," the King replied. "I will provide you with whatever you need or ask for."

I bowed, showing my thanks. "Thank you, sire."


*Sorry, that's all I've got.*

(Come on, don't quit on me now! The storybook hasn't even got into its storyline yet!)

((I want it to keep going too! WHERE THE HECK IS EVERYBODY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Sorry...))

Ilum checked his sword hilt to make sure it was tied tight, "Let's go." Bowing, he then turned to leave. The others doing so he spoke again when the golden doors closed behind him, "Well, I guess we have a new mission."

"What do we do now then?" ask Raven.

Ilum looked down for a second before replying, "Well, we'll gather our gear and report to the main gate in no more than a half an hour. If we all get there before had we'll head out, but no later than a half an hour okay?"

When everyone nodded he heaved a sigh of relief. He wasn't cut out to be a leader like his father was. Saying quick goodbyes he head towards the east of town to gather his gear. People were picking up after the attack and removing the dead from the streets.

Entering his home he noticed his father was gone. Once he had everything together he wrote a brief note to his father telling him wear he was going. Picking up his bag he marched towards the front gate to meet the others.

Raven

I gathered a few items, piled them into a rucksack and slung it over my back before heading towards the main gate. I walked quickly and was not surprised to find that I was the first there but it wasn't long before Ilum Ro came striding around the corner and then Karana appeared and it was only five more minutes before Warren joined us.

"All ready to go?" Karana asked, struggling with her bow, short sword and bag.

"Yeah," Warren replied.

"Me too. Want help carrying stuff?" I asked, shifting the mace to my right hand so that my left was free.

"No, I think I can cope," Karana decided. "But did anyone bring a compass?"

"Sure did," I replied. "But the map might be more helpful."

*Sorry ive been gone!*

"Good point." i agreed. They started looking at the map for a moment, and headed of towards the woods. Some how they seemed dark and unfriendly.

"Woods, why is it always the woods?" i said. Ilum almost smiled, which in his case is a major break through. I smiled too, just happy to keep everyone happy.

"Watch out."Ilum said,"in here, there always seemes to be a nonstop flow of beasts and monsters, so watch your back." at this he fell silent.

(A non-stop flow of beasts and monsters you say?)

Random encounter, prepare to fight!

(I'm drawing blanks whenever I have to think of monsters to fight. If you guys have any monster ideas, PM me.)

Why not take the monsters they have in dungeons and dragons? I could find you a list if you like...

Raven

"Look out!" I shouted, pushing Karana down as a huge wolf leapt out from behind the trees. It had yellowed fangs that were dripping with saliva and it bared its teeth menacingly as I drew my club and brought it down upon the wolf's head. The creature snarled and attempted to bite me but I drew back and suddenly it was thrown into a tree by a huge gust of wind.

"Thanks Warren," I said.

"Don't thank me yet, that thing's getting back up!" Warren exclaimed.

"And there's another and... another!" Karana gasped as two more advanced towards Ilum Ro. He drew his sword and wounded the first before it was upon him, going for his throat. I hurried forwards and slammed my mace into its head. The creature fell still and together we were able to drag it from Ilum's body as the third wolf was singed by Karana's fire and the first shook its head and snarled before re-joining the battle with the addition of two large, grizzly bears at its side.

Ilum turned to face the beasts, but was hit in the stomach and sent flying. Slowly getting to his feet the wolf rushed him. With no time to raise his sword, hi lifter his left hand instead to try and block. A blade of ice formed around and out of his hand catching the monsters mouth. Thrusting it he stabbed it through the throat.

Looking at what he created he tried to think of another use for it. He glanced up to see the others over welm on of the bears, but the other was going to hit Karana. Raising his arm he shot the sword like a huge dart at the beast hitting it in the back.

Karana turned to see the beast stunned in pain and finished it off with a breath of fire. "Thank you."

Ilum didn't answer, his chest bleeding, he had trouble breathing. Raven rushed over to help him. Once he was healed he said, "Stay on your toes, we're not out of here yet."

Raven

I hurriedly laid a hand upon Ilum's arm and guided my magic into his veins.

"Stay on your toes, we're not out of here yet," he warned. I nodded as one of the bears charged towards are small group. We moved closer to each other and Karana held her arm out, singing it with fire just as Ilum struck it with his ice sword. Along with the impact of my mace in its head and Warren's daggers thrust into its side, the beast roared and then fell silent.

"Anyone else hurt?" I asked, running a hand over a shallow gash in my side and feeling relieved when the pain ceased and the flesh knitted itself back together.

(I've got a new idea for spells, advanced magic. Look at the rules in the first post for more details. I'll be editing new stuff into it every now and then to give the story a little more umph. If any of you have ideas for new magic spells, PM me and I'll think it over.)
