"That was interesting." I said, impressed. Their movements were smooth and quick and they seemed to have spoken through a mind link. The simultaneous movements were perfectly timed.

"You are willing to share, right?" Riley asked.

"Seeing as you've scared the other deer off." Slade added.
Llama 1:"Shh! Do you hear that? That's the sound of forgiveness."
Llama 2:"That's the sound of people drowning, Carl!"
Llama 1:"That is what forgiveness sounds like; screaming and then silence."

"Of course," I replied, retreating from my kill so the vampires could have their share.

"Thanks," Riley said.

"So what do you guys do for fun around here?" Kelsey wondered as she too turned her deer over to our new companions.

"Not a lot to be honest though there are some good night clubs in town," Slade replied.

"To tell the truth the most exiciting thing that has happened lately was getting shot at by a whole bunch of teenagers." Riley said,

"That was exciting?" Someone asked, Riley couldn't figure out who.

"Yea, they were lucky I had just eaten." Riley smiled,
"And you wonder why we don't like you!" -Trumpkin

Slade sniggered and took a sip of the deer.

"So, lets see some of those fabulos(spell?) night clubs!"yelled Kelsey.

Slade agreed, and they all started to run in the direction of town. As they were running, out of nowhere popped out some girl in black leather.

"Hey! Dont just jump in front of us when were running like that!I might have hit you and that would have been messy."yelled Slade

"And we wouldn't want to be messy now would we?" I asked with a grin, staring pointedly at the thin trail of blood that had dribbled from Slade's mouth. Hurriedly he rubbed it away with the back of his hand and then glared at the girl before us as if it were all her fault.

The girl appeared to be young but she had that ageless grace about her that immediately screamed 'vampire' along with the smell that filled my nostrils as I stepped closer. You think it would be easy to hide another vampire scent amongst all these others but they all have different, distinct aromas. It's the exotic streak that gives away their heritage.

"Hello there, fancy seeing another vampire 'round here," I remarked with my usual toothy grin as I observed her with my eyes this time. She was dressed in black to match her long, ebony hair which framed a pale face and two piercing blue eyes.

I sighed. Another vampire...thank goodness!

I was not as afraid of the werewolves, but I still had some of my anxiety about them. They seemed to be friendly creatures, easy to get along with and very social. Perhaps...if they certainly weren't like that one...we could be friends?

The music was loud and the dance floor was crowded; Just the way she liked it. Green, red, blue, and white lights flickered and spun around the run, almost in beat with the music. Patrons bumped against each other in obscene gestures, also known as dancing. The room smelled of sweat and alcohol, but only those who were of legal age were "allowed" to drink...Yeah right.

Nix left the crowded dance floor and moved over to an empty seat at the bar, trying to catch her breath. Her head nodded to beat of the music. As the tender came up to her, she told him she only wanted a bottle of water; She would be doing alot of dancing tonight.

I had left the group behind with the other vamp chick and Anna had followed me. I noticed that Anna wasn't getting any less nervous around the wolves. Riley had already disappeared before I had noticed.

The club was cool, but even with the sub-zero temperatures, many of the gyrating bodies inside were covered in sweat. i noticed a familiar face at the bar, Riley, and just barely missed the other girl, a vampire I could smell even with the rank odors of sweat and alcohol.

Anna slid onto the stool next to Riley and I took the seat between the newest vampire and Anna.

She noticed the small group of mixed creatures walk in, two sitting next to her. Nix did not look at either of them; She could tell by their scents that there was two, both female, both vamps.

Acting as though she was unaware, she sipped her water, closed it, and stuffed it in her coat pocket. Being a vampire, she didn't need to remove her coat in fear of getting sweaty. It was thin anyways.

Almost bouncing out of her seat, she joined the humans back on the dance floor, but kept to the edge of the crowd in case the other vamps wanted to socialize with her. She didn't know if they were the dancing type, but she sure was.

"Anna? Are you feeling any better?" I asked over the sound of the music. Anna nodded and sipped her strawberry daiquiri. "Alright, then." I said and headed to the dance floor. I couldn't ignore the pulse the music had forced into me much longer.

The other vamp girl was already out there. She didn't seem afraid to dance, just what I liked to see: confidence. Most vampires didn't try to show out, but that was one of my pet peeves within my new race.

"Hi!" I said to the vamp girl as I began moving, in perfect rhythm with the music. "The name's Clara. You are?"

"Nix. Nice to meet you."

I hadn't met many vamps who danced as much as I did. I hoped this girl was different from the rest.

Compared to the humans, both girls were dance angels. Their bodies moving in perfect coordination. They looked like professional dancers and many of the human males began to stare.

Her words were short and quick; she was too busy throwing her body gracefully around to the music which thumped through the club air. VNV Nation's "Chrome" was like ecstasy causing her body to move non-stop.

She noticed the girl dancing with her, and how she moved with the music like it lifted her soul, too. She could really get along with her.

"So, you like to dance, huh?" She smiled, her short hair bouncing around as she stayed in step with Clara, awing the humans.

"Like it?" I mused. "It's more like 'love it.'" The air was thick with the thumping bass as more human's fell under the spell of the girls. "You're one of the few vam-" I stopped myself, "people I know that like to dance."

One of Nix's eyebrows rose up and a smirk pulled at her lips. I smiled at my slip up, but we both kept the beat.
