"I'll take her to her room," Scipio offered. Adam nodded and gently Scipio lifted Alice and carried her through the door.

"Adam..." Heather hesitated.

"Yeah?"

"I know this probably isn't a good time but I bought a weapon today and I wondered if you could take a look at it." Heather held out the crystal sword and Adam eyed it with interest before taking it in his hands and turning it over.

"It has powers," Adam stated.

"Yeah. It teleports. How did you know?"

According to her watch it was another month before Alice had come to, and when she woke she had a new view of the world. Jay had taken way too much time out of their goal.

She moved so that her feet were hanging over the side of the bed. For a second she hesitated, not sure about what a month off her feet would do to them, when she tried to get back on.

But when her feet touched the floor there was a new air to her step, a weight lifted off of her shoulders.

When she stepped into the hall she was met by a hug from Scipio. "I was just coming in to check on you, we've been worring about you for well a month."

Alice hugged back, "no worries now, I feel fine." She gave him a whole-hearted smile, "actually I feel great."

Adam looked out into the blackness. They were in the inbetween at last. They had stayed at Alereon a very long time. At least 2 weeks. Heather was a much better skilled fighter now.

"Yo Adam," said Matt, "The Ice Hag is complaining again" Adam sighed. Since the month had passed her tiny crystal had expanded to a real form. They had to alter another cargo bay for her.

"What is it now?" Adam asked finally getting to the bay. Her pure gorgeous face came forth with the sound of clinking china.

"I sense my home," she said, her voice chiming. Adam was starting to shiver a bit. "Soon you may release me."

"Will you survive out there?"

"Of course, I only require cold to survive. I know i have been a hard guest to accomdate but I have enjoyed your crew. a sort of brown crystal.

"What is that!?" said Adam almost horrified.

"The Dr. Pepper popcicle Matt has pestered me about since we met. What did you think it was?"

Adam's face flushed red, "Nothing." He walked out and the door shut. It was a bit odd seeing emotion come from her but he couldn't deny that his crew had a habit of growing on people...even if it wasn't always the best person.

Scipio hugged Alice and then turned to face the hall in general.

"Hey! Alice is awake!" Scipio shouted. Heads popped out of their rooms and hurried across to greet their friend.

"Alice. Good to see you're better," Chris said as Bella ran forwards to throw her arms around her friend.

"Hi, you're awake. Isn't this great?" Bella gushed.

"Nice to have you back, Alice," Matt remarked, "I think Adam is still with the Ice Hag."

"The what?" Alice asked.

"The Ice Queen," Adam corrected as he rounded the corner with a strange brown crystal in his hand which he handed to Matt.

"Is this what I think it is?" Matt asked eagerly.

Adam nodded, "yes its your doctor pepper popsical."

Matt's eyes widened and he shoved the whole thing in his mouth, cringing at the cold. "Yum.." he moaned happily.

Alice turned to Adam, "how much did I miss?"

***I'm backtracking and inserting Bells into that stuff up there***

Bella tacklehugged Alice, causing them both to lose there balance and fall to the floor. "Great job, Bells," Alice commented as Chris helped them both to their feet.

"ALice, don't you ever worry me like that again!" Bella snapped, smacking her best friends arm.

"Yeah, you had us scared ahve to death!" Rick added.

"Sorry!!!" Alice exclaimed, stepping backwards. "IT's not like I wanted to sleep for a month straight!" Adam entered the room. "Hey Adam, what'd I miss?"

"Well, we stayed on Alereon for a while hoping you would wake up. We finally decided we had to get going. We're still like three weeks away from the outpost," Adam explained.

Matt had finished his amazingly cold popscicle and got a massive brain freeze, "woah!" he had to sit down. Alice couldn't help but laugh.

"Come on," said Adam, "We've got to get to the bridge and get rid of the Ice from the cargo hold." Adam went to the bridge with most of the crew behind him. Matt stayed behind to recover from his brain freeze.

The view screen showed the darkness. It was amazing how far nothing spread. A light flashed on Adam's main panel. It was time to release the Ice Queen.

"Ice Queen, we have reached your home," Adam announced as he opened the freezer (she's in a freezer right?).

"I knew that," she snapped.

"Woah...you kept her here why?" Bella asked rudely, trying to keep her voice hushed.

"I heard that!" The Ice Queen snapped. "Stop mocking me!"

"Bella, be polite to our guest!" Adam snapped between clenched teeth. He was obviously giddy at the thought of releasing her. "Rick, Chris, help me move her."

Alice hung back with Scipio while they shoved te freezer towards the door.

"Now when I say three," Adam instructed, "one-two-three!" the door came open and Rick and Chris pushed her out, catching themselves on the side. Instantly the door shut.

They looked out the window just in time to see the filimant that protected Chris Rick and Adam from getting sucked out dissappear.

Alice turned to Adam and they walked down a hall, "you said we're still three weeks from the out post?"

"Yeah."

"What do we expect to find when we get there?"

"Some sort of information about those devices."

"I think we should hurry."

"We're already-"

"No, we're not going fast enough, you know as well as I that as soon as those things are created we can't save the future."

"So what do you mean?"

"Jay donated a lot of money to their production, I remember it even though I wasn't there." She stopped and faced him, "the universe is falling apart around us, we need to act fast, before its too late."

Adam still looked confused.

"Can't you feel it?" She asked, waving her hand around, "you can't feel the air getting thinner? The future is not that far away Adam, whatever you can do to get us there faster, do it."

Mattster woke up. "WHOA!!!"

POPSICLE HANGOVER.

Mattster lay there for at least another hour before he got up and looked around.
"Where the heck is everybody?"

Everybody, it transpired, was anywhere other than where Mattster was. However, they were actually on the bridge, talking about stuff. Mattster burst into the chamber.

"MOAR DR PEPPER!!"

"Sorry Matt, she's gone," Bella replied, suppressing a giggle.

"Gone? And you didn't think to tell me?" Matt demanded.

"The popsical was her parting gift," Adam explained, "I thought that ws pretty obvious."

"Well you thought wrong," Matt sulked.

"Anyone want to practice?" Heather asked, carrying the crystal sword with much more ease than when she first bought it.

"Totally!" Bella replied enthusiastically. "My diamond sword will kick your butt!"

"Whatever," Heather replied sarcastically. "Hey Adam, is there a place we can practice?"

"Second room on the left, that way," he pointed to the hallway.

"I want to practice too!" Alice exclaimed.

"And me!" The cries echoed from around as all the CRA-ers agreed.

"Shall we do an every man for himself type deal?" Chris suggested, as he headed to get his weapon.

"And woman!" Bella snapped, hitting him lighlty on the arm.

"Ok, every man and/or woman, for him and/or herself then?"

"Yes!" they agreed.

They enetered the spacious training room, "Everyone be mindful of your attacks, we dont want to kill each other." Adam typed into a computer panel. The room faded out into a huge collosieum.

"Sweet!" said Bella.

"Remember, 4 hits on your body and you're out. Use the not sharp and pointy ends of your weapons to deal physical blows. GO!"

Mattster arranged his five Spatulas into the throwing weapon that was the result of the ancient Five Spatula magic.

"Umm... oh. Spatulas, don't be pointy."
The spatulas immediately complied with his wish. Mattster began spinning his weapon in excitement.

"I'll show them who's the stupid one! Imagining things, was I, when Mr Knight invaded my brain? Nooo!"

Unfortunately, Mattster didn't watch where he was spinning, and his spinning weapon moved too close to his head.
"Ow - ow - ow - ow!!"

And with four blows to the head, Mattster collapsed to the floor, immobilised until the contest was over.
"D'OH!!"

"What was that?" Bella wondered.

"Looks like Matt's down," Scipio remarked as he circled Bella.

"I think he hit himself in the head," She agreed. Scipio nodded his agreement and moved in, swinging the heavy mace that he'd borrowed. Bella caught the blow with her own weapon and they spun apart again.

"You really need to get a permanent weapon, Scipio. How can you expect to be good with one you've had less than a week?"

"But this way I find out how to use a variety of weapons," Scipio retorted, already knowing that he'd be out soon. The mace wasn't to his liking.

At the other side of the room, Heather was duelling with Adam when Rick charged forwards, aiming for her head.

"Two on one? No fair!" Heather exclaimed, using her blade to teleport out of the way. Heather landed beside Alice, causing her to jump in alarm.

"And you call that fair?" Alice laughed.
