Nutty glanced around to make sure everyone was there, and turned to Matt. "Are you bringing Moosehead?"
Matt looked indignant. "Of course!"
Nutty mused for a while, then sighed. Going to have to risk it. Hopefully Ravara won't go nuts at him.
With that, she raised her arm and murmered a few words, summoning Ravara.
Ravara blinked, trotted over to Nutty, and whined.
"I'm sorry boy, we've been busy."
Ravara then noticed Moosehead, sniffed him, sneezed, then looked bored. Moosehead decided Ravara wasn't shiny enough to eat.
"Right." Nutty said, turning to the others. "Ravara should find Adam's scent. Let's go."
With a few instructions to the Dire wolf, they were off down the streets.

The space attendant froze when Matt, atop Moose Head, appeared from the hatch.

"Spuh... Spammian!!" he shouted, stumbling as he raced back toward the building he'd come from. He smacked a large red panel as he fled inside, and something akin to an air-raid siren sounded.

Windows as far as the eye could see opened. Out of each one popped a gun, which on closer inspection appeared to have a man attached to it. All nozzles pointed directly at the group, and a second later there was gunfire from all around.

Matt flinched and shut his eyes tight as the gunfire loomed closer. A few seconds later, he opened his eyes and noticed the bullets stopping in midair and dropping to the ground, as if hitting some invisible shield.

"I put up an invisible shield," explained Nutty. Ah. That made sense. "I don't know how long it'll hold though. We'd better pinpoint Adam quickly. Heather, what does your orb say?"

"You just couldn't leave that thing in the ship, could you, Matt?" Heather grumbled as she took the glimmering sphere out of her pack and gazed into it. Matt giggled.

"You look like one of those creepy ladies who charges people ten dollars to read their future."
"Shh," she replied, looking up at her surroundings. "It's that building over there."

Ravara seemed to agree; he was pawing at the ground in that direction, not being able to go any further because of the barrier, which seemed to revolve around Nutty.

"Let's move," Nutty suggested, "before the barrier's energy runs out."

Alice sticked close to Nutty, something about the air outside the barrier seemed...fake. Suddenly the image of the Matrix came into her head. She wasn't about to make a comment about its connection to that directly, but she made one about the air in general, "Does it seem like there's something...off about the air around here?"

"I noticed it too," Scipio said, "kinda like...its just an illusion."

"And we're intruders on it," Bella muttered.

Nutty shivered, "lets find Adam and get out soon."

Moosehead decided that Ravara was going in the wrong direction, and attempted to steer Matt the other way.

Ravara growled, and nipped at Moosehead's heels, attempting to herd him the right way. Moosehead didn't notice, still shoving Matt the other way.
Nutty sighed, and pulled Ravara back.
Matt frowned at Moosehead. "But, the others are going that way."
Moosehead didn't care. Nutty watched in silent horror as he picked Matt up in his teeth by the back of his shirt and run the other way.
"Shit, the barrier. She ran off after him, struggling to expand her barrier as far as she could. "Come on, guys. I can't protect us all if we go separate ways!"
