Teenage superheroes

"'Gonzo', you don't have to focus like that anymore, you can talk to me."

"Okay, what's your name?"

"Ishtar."

"I like that name."

"Which is why I have it."

"So I really am crazy."

"Stop it, the major reason as to why you can't control your powers is because you believe you can't. Start believing that you can and you will."

"Alright." 'Gonzo' walked into her room.

"'Gonzo', you'll have to get out of here soon, you'll have to be in the real world and be able to control your powers."

"When I graduate, I know. But I've got time."

"Sooner than that, you'll need to have some friends. Soon."

"How soon?"

"Very soon, you'll need to learn how to control your powers in conversations now."

"How do I do that?"

"When you're talking to someone focus on what they're saying, not what they're going to say. That will work for now."

"When is very soon going to be?"

"Now go find a mirror."

"Why?"

"You're going to call someone."

"Alright?" 'Gonzo' walked to her dresser and pulled out a mirror. "Now what?"

"Say something out loud."

"Like what?"

"Try hello."

Orion was walking through the halls. She checked the bandage on her shoulder to make sure it wasn't falling off. Satisfied, she continued. Her ice started to climb up from the floor just as to shuriken struck it. the shuriken lodged themselves into the wall of ice and froze. Orion walked around the wall and flicked them which made them shatter. If only Gray were here, she thought. She had told him to go find anyone else. So he was gone. She refused to kill the ninja she had frozen to the floor. She just couldn't bring herself to do it. Another thwack on the ice brought her from her thought.
"What is this thing?" Orion heard a man ask himself that question. "I could have sworn I hit a girl. The man kicked the ice.
"So the ice does have a mind of its own." Orion whispered. "Cool. The lessons paid off." The man must have heard her say this. He stopped, turned, and started to walk back to the ice. The ice, sensing that no danger was coming, dropped. There huddled Orion.

(Isn't Coden supposed to be with Kage and Viamire? When he was knocked out Kage saved him from the ninja and brought him back into the hall of mirrors. I guess we'll have to improvise now.)


Kage explained how he thinks the ninjas are here to assassinate the Principal.

"They're going to what?" Mika exclaimed.

Kage gave her a blank stare before saying. "My, you really have a bad memory don't you? I just told you they're here to kill the Principal."

"Well, what are we going to do about it?" she asked.

Viamire said, "We have to warn the Principal before the enemy gets to him."

"But first," Kage continued, "we have a wounded friend to bring with us."

He led them over to Coden who was still unconscious. Kage bent down to check on him. "Man, he should be awake by now. Why is he still-" Kage stopped. He heard a small burning sound coming from Coden's body.

With lightning fast reflexes he jumped at Viamire and Mika. "SHITA!" (DOWN!) He tackled them to the ground. Coden's body exploded.

Bits of fire and cloths rained here and there as they recovered from the blast.

Mika yelled, "W-what just happened? He exploded!"

Kage slowly got back to his feet, afraid that his leg may worsen if he moved too quick. "It wasn't Coden. It was a decoy, probably set by our enemies to trick us. Looks like it almost worked too."

"Then where is the real Coden?" Viamire asked.

"Probably with the enemy right now." Kage swore under his breath in Japanese.

"Then we need to go after him." Mika said.

"No," Kage replied. "Our first priority is to warn the Principal. If he dies the barrier will fall, leaving this school defenseless. Plus, I'm in no shape to be doing anymore fighting, I won't be able to defend you two." He turned to Viamire and said, "You're the only one who knows the way through this place. Lead the way."

Viamire turned round and started to inspect the mirrors.
'Wait' said Mika, 'we need to think about this. The ninjas are trying to kill the principal, right?' she asked turning to Kage.
'Right' He replied with the same blank stare.
'Then they must know that the barrier will fall. What does the barrier do?'
'It keeps out people who want to harm the school' Viamire replied turning back to the group.
'Then why hasn't it kicked out the Ninja's?'
'Maybe it only keeps people out with evil superpowers' Viamire suggested.
'Then they must be trying to let someone into the school.' Mika said, voicing her thoughts aloud.
Kage gsped and looked up at the two girls.
'What is it?' asked Viamire, her face full of concern.
'They have Coden, which can only mean one thing'
Mika looked at Kage questionally. 'What?'
'Think, who are Coden's parents?'
Viamire gasped in horror just as Mika realised what this meant.
'Well we need to warn the principal and that get rid of these ninjas, but we can't do it on our own, not while your injured' Mika said gesturing at Kage's leg, 'Who else stayed behind?.
Viamire shrugged then took a sharp intake of breath.
'What is it?' Kage asked reaching towards her.
'Someone is calling to me through a mirror, We have to find her'
Kage turned to the group.
'Right this is what we will do. We will find this girl and see if we can find any others who stayed behind and enter the school through the mirror in the Power control class.'
'What then?' Mika asked.
Kage eyes twinkled, 'We go and save our friend!'

Ok guys. I'm on for like ten seconds before my mom gets home and catches me. Problem with grades and I might not be active for a little bit. See everyone as soon as I can.

"I don't think its working," 'Gonzo' said.

"She heard you, they're on their way."

"Okay? What happens when they get here? And who is they exactly?"

"You'll see, now what are you supposed to do when you're talking?"

'Gonzo' struggled to remember, "no."

"Focus on what they're saying, not what you think is going to happen."

"Okay."

Viamire lead Mika and Kage towards the calling, careful to keep near Kage. She couldn't help but send fretful glances his way ever other second.

When they finally reached the mirror, she looked through it, searching. There, on the other side, was a girl that looked like she might go to their school. She looked scared, but there seemed to be no immident danger about. Viamire slowly slipped part of her body out of the mirror.

"Hey there," she said softly, startling the young girl. She jumped violently and her eyes grew panicked. “Calm down, don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you. Do you need help?”

"Say, "just a friend.'" Ishtar said.

"Just a friend for now."

"Okay, my name's Viamire, what's yours?"

"'Gonzo,'" she replied. Viamire knew that name.

"You're the one with the mind powers?"

'Gonzo' nodded slightly, "I'm getting better at controling it." Her voice was still shaky fighting the timidness that she was used to. She still didn't trust herself to look into her eyes.

"But not enough right?"

'Gonzo' nodded again.

"What kind of help do you need?"

"I just was tol-"

"Don't tell her, she'll think you're insane!

"I realized something big was going on in the school and realized that I might need a friend."

Gray saw the ninja run away towards the outer area of the school. "He killed Marrissa." Gray thought. He leaped into the sky, flying a little slower than normal. "All this water on me must be slowing me down." Gray noticed. He suddenly saw the Ninja leap at the edge of the campus. "Why'd he jump there's nothing in his-" Gray then saw the ninja pass through something, almost like the outer layer of a bubble. Gray rushed towards it and CRASH! Gray felt as if he had ran into a stone wall, not a bubble like wall. Something was holding him back but Gray wasn't sure what. "Maybe all this water around me is holding me back." Gray let go of his powers, long enough to let the water fall back to the ground, and went tornado again soon after. He ran into the wall again, this time his head hurting terribley, and fell to the ground. "Maybe my powers are holding me back..." Gray let the winds draw away from his arm, and touched the bubble. His bare hand made the wall flex. He pushed a little harder, and his fully human arm passed right through. Gray pulled his arm back, the wall wiggling like a piece of gelatin. He went human again, and walked right through the wall. It felt like walking through a mist at first, and then minutes later, Gray felt a strange tingling sensation, like he was being warned that he would get in trouble for leaving school grounds. "He killed Marrissa. It's worth it." He saw the ninja running away, meeting up with a couple of other ninja's. They were dragging something, and it looked like a body. "They had another victim" They ran out of the shadows of tyhe campus, and under the dim moonlight, Gray reconigzed the face. It was Coden, one of Cedrick's friends. He had to save him, or at least not let them take his body. He went tornado again. He flew as high as he could, dizziness telling him not to go any higher. From that hieght they would never see him, and He followed them silently floating above them. I need to rescue Coden.

Coden propped himself up on his elbows. "My help?"

The ninja nodded. He began to unwrap the dressing on Coden's legs. "I am just checking the wounds real quick..."

He exposed two thick scars on his leg covered in dried blood. "That is good, the herbs are working."

Coden rubbed his hands over the scars. A small sting came as his fingers caressed the destroyed tissue, but nothing like it had once been. "What herbs are you talking about?"

The ninja pulled out another bottle from his sleeve and began to sprinkle a white powder on the wounds. Coden gritted his teeth as his skin burned from the unfamiliar chemical now on the wound. The ninja pulled the bottle away.

"It is Rosemary root. Most think of it as poisonus, but if done right, it can have great medicinal properties."

the ninja began to rewrap his leg. The pain in Coden's legs slowly began to dissipate.

"Why are you doing this for me?" Coden said, still confused about the whole situation.

The ninja looked up breifly. "I told you, we need your help. Your parents are-."

Coden lunged foreward and grabbed the ninja. Surprised by the feriousity of his patient, the ninja could only be at the mercy of him.

"My parents?" Coden hissed in his face. "What do my parents have anything to do with this?"

The ninja tried to pull away, but Coden's grip only became tighter.

"Th-they are trying to get to you. We made a deal with them. If we give them you, then they will provide us with what we need."

"What is it that you need?" Coden kept a tight grip, his eyes stern and fiery.

The ninja sighed. "We need fresh recruits. People better, stronger, more efficient than any of our most seasoned fighters. If we give them you, we get all the students at our disposal."

Coden couldn't hide the shock in his face. "You guys are animals!"

He threw him across the room, smashing him hard against a pile of desks. The ninja fell limp.

Ignoring the pain in his legs, Coden forced his body to cooperate as he got to his feet. He took a few steps, and the pain intensified beyond all comparision. He wobbled, dizzy from the wave of pain that hit him. Yet, he stayed on his feet.

He took more steps. The pain had lessened. The herbs were really working. He began to walk faster, until he had reached the door. Now all he had to do is...

He was suddenly thrown backwards, back into the desk he had been laying on. The ninja stood in front of the door, a very preturbed look on his face. He pointed a dagger at Coden.

"Keep this up, and we will start killing people. Starting with your little winged friend."

Coden's eyes widened. "You haven't done anything ot them have you?"

The ninja chuckled. "Oh, of course not. We don't even have them captured. We are just watching them all, plotting this and that. It is all quite dramatic."

A morbid smile spread on his face. "So, what are you going to do then?"

Coden sniffled, and a single tear fell from his eye. He looked down at the floor. "what do you want me to do?"

The ninja began to twirl the blade in his hand. "It is easy enough. When your parents take you, kill them."

Kage constantly scanned the room with his eyes. He couldn't help but feel like someone was watching them. When dealing with ninjas, that feeling is usually true.

He whispered to the others. "We should get going now."

Viamire looked at him. "What's the hurry? And why are you whispering?"

Kage stayed silent for a moment. If there really were ninjas in the room they would attack as soon as he gave them away. "...Nothing. But anything is safer than staying in one place for too long."

"Right." Viamire took Gonzo by the hand and led her to the mirror. Kage gave the room one final scan before joining them. As he turned around he slipped his hand into his pocket.

Viamire began to activate her power. Kage heard a book fall off a table on the other side of the room. Without hesitation he grabbed a throwing knife from out of his pocket and threw it where he heard the sound.

A gasp sounded from the far end of the room, followed by a loud thump of somebody falling to the ground. Three more ninjas appeared out of nowhere. They each held one of the following weapons: a katana, metal claws, and a spiked ball attached to a length of chain.

Kage shouted to Viamire, "Ikkuzo! Take Gonzo into the mirror, I'll hold them off!"

Viamire turned to Kage. her eye's were silver, indicating that her power was activated. "What about you? You're still injured!"

The enemy ninjas began closing in. The one holding the ball and chain began to swing it around.

"Don't worry about me, just go!"

Viamire yelled at him, "I'm not leaving without you!"

Kage turned to face her, his eyes were full of concern. He crept up close to her and whispered in her ear. "Gomenasai." (Sorry.) With that he shoved Viamire into the mirror. She was still holding Gonzo's hand so she went in with her. Before she had a chance to go back through the mirror Kage smashed it into thousands of pieces.

As he looked down at the shattered glass he said in Japanese, "I only wish for your safety, Viamire." He knew she couldn't hear him.

He faced the enemy ninja. It was three on one and he had a broken leg. Kage began to think whether or not he would come out of this one in one piece.

Hey...uh yeah I'm coming in late but I think I understand. I'm writing just a bio of my guy and if I miss anything just tell me.

Power ~ Over Active Emotions (If he's mad, he destroys things with his mind. Happy= things fly, Sad= rains, Pain= earthquake, etc.)

Height ~ 5 3"

Grade ~ 10Th

Bio: At age 3, because of his enlarged emotions, when he would get mad his toys would exploded at random or melt and burn through the floor. His parents, who couldn't afford all of the destruction he caused, had to turn him over to the government. He has lived in a break-proof room ever since. He has been deprived of any friendly human interaction since he was was six so acts much like a 5 year old (leading to even more extreme emotions). If he throws a temper tantrum, your going to want to run far, FAR away. The complex management have recently heard of the School for the Gifted and will do anything to send him there to get him off their hands.
He considers himself a good person but could be used for the wrong reasons. Because of this the government has said that he is a possible weapon of mass destruction.

"Um...Nathan?" a man in a metal suit walked into his small white room. He saw Nathan sitting on his small couch.
"Yes Mr. White?" He looked over.
"Um...your gonna have to go somewhere else." He tensed up. This could trigger a huge explosion.
"Where?" He said, much like a small child that doesn't care.
"To a place where...uh...you can use your...uh...powers."
"Like a playground?"
"No....a school."
"Like what I went to before I came here?"
"Sort of like that. But there are others that have powers."
"Like ME?"
"Not your same power."
"When do we go?"
"Now." He injected a needle into his arm as fast as he could. He had to do this fast or else he might feel pain.

Mr. White strapped Nathan on to a stretcher. Gone for good. Ah. He loaded him into a truck. A truck that would never bring Nathan back.
"Good bye Nathan! And Good riddance!"[/u]

They reappeared in the mirror room. Viamire cursed and started pacing around.

"I have more mirrors?" 'Gonzo' offered.

"How many?"

"Four." She focused on the thousand reflections in the mirrors, keeping her eyes off of Viamire. "Three in the bathroom and the one he broke."

stop telling her so much Ishtar said.

"But you told me to tell her stuff!" 'Gonzo' said out loud.

"Who are you talking to?" Vaimire asked.

don't say anything, you're about to lose control

"Go away!" Gonzo screamed at Ishtar, "go away and leave me alone! I don't like your advice!"

you're about to lose control! At that moment she did. Her powers blasted through the room bouncing off of every mirror. 'Gonzo's knees buckled in pain and she collapsed. She pulled it all back in and collected herself. Slightly awed at her new ability.

"I'm sorry," 'Gonzo' said. "I have trouble controling my powers sometimes."

"That could come in handy right now." Viamire smiled.
