I just set in motion a set of events, brought on by the visiting gods.

I've also had them exit the scene, so that we don't have to worry about divine revelations.

If anyone acknowledges the divine presence in character, then Hunter and I would be guilty of divine intervention. So, let's not talk about them in character.

Wow. Seraph has a delirious vision and all of a sudden it's divine intervention?

No offense Grif...but I know the rules of the storybook, and know well how to play by them.

I actually request you change you post, mainly because it completely ruins the creative fabric. It's like having the director of a movie come into the shot and be like 'Ok Godzilla and Ghidora, take off your masks and take ten--Tokyo can live for a while longer!" and then leave the shot in the final cut of the movie. Also...the "gods" were never in the cavern. They're omnipotent. They're up in their heavenly palaces...or something.

If it was meant to be a metaphor of "get the heck outta my storybook, well...you shouldn't have apporived the character if you didn't want them to have some involvement.

Divine Intervention is the dierect involvement of a godly figure in the matters of mortals. In my opinion, having a conversation that a half-dead man happens to catch a little of is not direct involvement. Now, maybe if Seraph was dying and there was no way it was possible to save him, and Falthyr flew down from the heavens, tapped him on the nose and said "BE HEALED!!!!111one" and he was a new man...then THAT would be Divine Intervention. But not an overheard conversation during a period of unconsciousness.

Mmm...I agree with Hunter, hearing the gods talk just doesn't fit.

I'll go ahead and drop the post. There are other ways to get that plot line going.

Seraph has just revealed a power he has--the ability to drain the life of someone in order to heal himself.

Details on that if you want it, or we can just leave it alone until Seraph explains it in character. (Which might not be for a while, mind you)

Right now he's scared his group will turn against him. He's not sao much afraid of fighting, but that Valin will turn against him, and Finn will fear him.

Converse freely, and don't be afraid to godmode him, but remember--this is a character who thrives on self control, and rarely loses composure--he's not likely to show a lot of emotion on his face, though he's feeling it inside keenly.

EDIT: Grif and I have conflicting posts, to an extent--needs to be fixed, though I'm not sure how--Grif can edit his post to follow mine, or I can delete mine and then reply to Grif's--just let me know what I need to do either here or in PM, please. Currently, I'm off to work.

Seraph is running off adrenaline right now, so if you feel the need to subdue him or have him calm down, there you go.

I'm a little confused as to what when on in the last couple posts, when something happens between Adrien and Seraph. Can someone clarify that?

No problem. First of all, Adrian, as a Paladin, has minor healing abilities. Seraph has the ability to drain life from someone else to help heal himself. If you've seen the movies or read the comics, think Rogue from X-Men. Now he usually has conscious control over this, but because he was unconscious and in such bad shape when Adrian touched him that he automatically began draining Adrian of life.

He woke himself up soon enough to prevent any serious damage to Adrian, but now he's worried that the others will turn against him, especially Valin, who has been a friend of his for a long time.

I posted something after you. Please make sure its consistent with what your "vision" is.

I think it would be a good thing if Seraph was mistrusted for a while -- I've already had Cyrus call it "black magic" which implies a certain level of mistrust. If his friendship with Valin is a bit battered, it'll only make the journey more interesting, with added conflict.

Personally, in Henry's case, he missed the incident -- but he never really liked Seraph too much anyway, and that opinion won't be altered much. Henry's wound might be healed but I'm going to have it affect him for a while -- it will introduce a new stiffness that will nulify his greatest asset -- his agility. In that way, Henry will be forced to rely on more conventional fighting. I think it would be good if someone helped Henry to develop his swordfighting, because sooner or longer he is going to get caught in close combat, and next time he'll probably die.

Ahhh...good point.

I'm not sure if Carmenia can teach you swordfighting, it might be better if someone else does.
