*slides into the conversation*

I am American and moved to Thailand for 5 months straight out of undergrad and lemme tell you that was a rough transition to learn all the customs xD

But that must have been also an eventful experience! I envy you.

It was eventful for sure! I think I was too young to be well-equipped for living on my own in a foreign country, but I've definitely got plenty of stories from it! haha

I can relate with you here. I have never been anywhere really. In fact this has been my first trip in a really really long time.

I don't think anyone can ever really see everything with their own eyes. I think that's why I like stories, music and films so much. Its not the real experience, but it still shows you so much.

I think its different when we are moving somewhere to work or shift permanently. We know then that we will have to live this environment for a while, there is no other option. But when you are on a trip for say, 4 or 5 days, you take all these differences as a part of the experiences and are more forthcoming and accepting because you know its just a day or two more and then you'll be back in your comfortable home.

You have to tell them one day. When the whole pandemic is over I´m going to travel! I don´t know where I will start, but I know that it will end someday in Antartica.

Very true! I would love to go back to Thailand for a visit but I’m never going to live there again in my life haha I’d been planning to spend a year there and punked out after 5 months aha but they have motorcycle taxis there, which is just wild to me and super super cool! We definitely don’t have those here haha

We have motorcycles and we have taxis. But what are motorcycle taxis and why don't we have them here?!

I could do a taxi stand, I have a bike :D

That´s true @RandomTalks. That´s why I want to work in a company, where I can travel a bit so that I´m working at a place and seeing how it is as a member of society not as a tourist.

Right?! My language skills weren’t fantastic but I thought I was smart and decided to try to communicate rather than just write where I wanted to go haha and they ended up taking us on the highway without a helmet and a police officer yelled at us and I very much thought I was going to end up in a Thai prison because I’d forgotten my passport haha

Oh wow. xD

If you drive a car with me, you have to wear a seat belt, and if you ride a motorbike with me, you get all the clothes from me, including a helmet. Safety first!

For sure! I didn’t mind no helmet for just around town — even though sometimes it felt like they were trying to take my knees out by driving between stopped cars at lights — but the highway was terrifying!

I can imagine that. I once was in a Volkswagen Beetle where there are no seat belts in the back over the highway with over 120 km/h. xD That was a wild ride. You are just hopping around.

Oh gosh haha yeah we took the motorcycle taxi because it was like a quarter a normal taxi but I definitely got in a normal taxi for the ride home haha

Okay, I am going to slide out of the conversation now, and try to get some sleep. Goodnight people!
