Speaking of cheese combinations -> anyone ever eat cheddar cheese on their apple pie? I think that's more popular in North East states, but rarely I've seen Apple Pie served that way in the Midwest too. Have tried before, but can't say I can see the reason for doing it. Seems better to eat the two separately. an article in case there are any doubters of this combination

Ah I don't, but definitely have heard of it! I do eat salt + pepper + sugar (all three at once) @_@ on my tomatoes though - which is a bit similar to the watermelon thing. :3

But, yeah, I agree it's similar! I don't even know how to describe the combination. Like, it doesn't become a "this is a salty food" sort of vibe like chips or pretzels -- but it just kind of enhances the flavor in general? It's very nice. And I've won people over on it after I forced them to try it haha

There are a lot of different approaches to eating things. It sounds exotic and delicious. Cheddar cheese on apple pie sounds like some accident but I can imagine that the combination of the flavours could taste great.

I tried it once and it's not actually as repulsive as it sounds but is definitely not fantastic haha
