#20in20 Writing Challenge
For all you oldies still hanging around the site, I bet you remember the #15in15 challenge that floated through YWS a few years back. For everyone else (I know, I know, most of you -- just humor me
), you can read about it here . Basically, the rules of engagement are simple:
In 2020, make it your goal to write at least 20 minutes per day.
It can be anything you want -- your novel, a short story, a poem, a SB/RP post, even something for school if that's what you need to write that day.
Post about what you wrote in a status update.
You can just summarize what you did (i.e. "I wrote 187 words of my novel chapter", "I wrote two stanzas of a new poem", etc.) OR you can post an excerpt of your favorite part of what you wrote that day (let's be honest, the more fun version).
Tag your post with the #20in20 hashtag
That's it! Simple as that! You'll be amazed at the boost in your productivity, and enjoy seeing the boost in site activity overall as you cheer on your friends in their writing goals!
Aaand, while I'm not going to set a specific challenge at this time, rest assured that the Points Fairy will be taking note of who's participating regularly and rewarding accordingly
