Seven Deadly Sins: The Storybook [DT]

An Explanation This storybook is based very heavily on the plot of the anime Nanatsu no Taizai (alternatively called The Seven Deadly Sins ). Though the basic underlying plot will be taken from the anime, having seen the show isn't necessary to take part in the storybook. For those who have seen the anime, our characters will be taking care of the main characters—the only character that stays constant is Hawk. Other secondary characters will be present in the story, and we'll make any changes needed to their respective story lines to make them work with our new versions of the protagonists. We can also change up the locations that each character is discovered in, or keep them the same if that works the best with what you have planned. For example, the Dragon's Sin of Wrath is still going to be running a tavern on the back of a giant pig, and will be introduced when the youngest member of royalty stumbles into the building. Feel free to change up any aspects of the characters—I already know that our Gowther equivalent is going to be a goddess, so you can see the differences already. You can also keep them the same. The storybook will go up to the ending of the anime's first season. If we still have people interested, I'll gladly make versions of future seasons as well! If you haven't seen the anime before, the basic premise is that the third princess of Liore goes on a quest to find the Seven Deadly Sins and ask for their help. Liore is as fantasy as you can get: there's magic galore, and everyone has some sort of special attack if they're a Holy Knight. Each of the characters have some parts of their past that are explored throughout the show, and villains tend to have something to do with those pasts. Your characters can be pretty much anything. As far as I know (I'm still watching the newest season), the canon types of characters in the show are a sorceress, a demon, an immortal man, a fairy king, and a giantess. It's really up to you! You also get a lot of freedom with what their sin is, as long as it ties back to why they gained their title. Last, but certainly not least, each sin has a sacred weapon. They can be literally anything—one of the canon characters has a spear that can take on multiple forms and has multiple abilities. Oh, and there's a talking pig named Hawk, but you'll see him in my first post. Due to the nature of the storybook, some characters won't be introduced as early on as others. In canon, the order is Wrath, Envy, Greed, Sloth, Lust, Gluttony and finally Pride. But because Gluttony doesn't show up until the finale, and Pride doesn't show up until an entirely different season, we'll be taking some creative liberties and have them show up sooner. Also, to prevent people from being excluded due to the time it takes for each character to be introduced, we'll have posts featuring them going about their new lives. Once we have a complete cast, I'll go into more detail about what that'll look like in the storybook.

The hardest part of writing science fiction is knowing actual science. The same applies for me and realistic fiction.

I should probably be angry with you guys for not getting that challenge done on time, but I guess I have to let it slide.

I'm not sure how many people in this storybook are members of the Storybook Club or regularly check the people's tab, but there's something called a Storybook Jam™ on 3/1/2019 15:30 EST. It's basically an opportunity to write storybook-related things (roleplays and DTWH threads included) in a write-in style WFP. I'm not sure how long the event will run for, but I thought you might want to work on your posts and/or scheming then! I'll be there for hopefully the entire time, so we can always chat about this storybook then. <3
