The only thing I plan on doing on my marching band trip is sit in my room, read, write and draw (and of course play). I really hope I get an anime loving, English interested roommate, though it doesn't really matter as long as she is nice. Conversation starters in case of awkward situations?
LadyBug These are good ice-breakers:
Offer them gum.
Ask them their favorite color?
Favorite show (with any luck, they could be in the same fandoms!)
Ask if they like anime.
Their middle name.
Their hobbies.
Their fandoms (yup, if you share one or more you could have an immediate friendship bonded by inside jokes that have to do with the thing and randomly quoting the protagonist in publicleading to laughter you can't control and people thinking your crazy. Trust me, this has happened to me..)
Share some funny stories about you and listen to them. Have fun on your trip and I hope you get a good roommate!
