What if there was a small group of people who had gone first before our charries because they were the ones who were supposed to fix the dimension problem, and they didn't make it back? So our characters' mission could be to also rescue this group besides fixing the tear in dimensions. Although this would probably be more confusing to add more characters that no one is controlling.

Yeah IDK about that. It could work. What do the rest of you think? We don't need to decide for a little bit.

Why do we capital-N Nerds love Mars so much?
Because it's beautiful, it's tough, it's buried in our mythic, childhood memories.
It's covered with human triumphs but also with sad stories of failure.

We just need @StupidSoup to post and @Chaser and I must post again before we can have our characters get off the train.

Maybe we could cut a few corners here. The story is starting to stagnate, partially from my own laziness, but partially because we're running out of things to write. If @StupidSoup isn't planning anything, then I'll go for Alder. Sometime after that, they can reach the city in Clover's post.
I'm all for equality and development, but characters are like bread: they rise under attack, they harden through fire, but most importantly, they get stale if left out too long. Alder's the last one to wake up, and then something interesting has to happen.
The hardest part of writing science fiction is knowing actual science. The same applies for me and realistic fiction.

Posted! In this post I have given everybody nicknames if you don't like yours please let your character argue with Clover. @Chaser posted a thoughtful comment a while back about how are characters are like bread. I think he is absolutely right and we can't neglect them any longer. After @TheFantasy14 posts for Alder we need to get these characters off the train. Please add your suggestions here and let's get planning.

@Chaser had a good idea earlier that maybe some police check the train and find something to label our characters as criminals forcing them to escape and making everything much harder. It is now time to decide what exactly is going to happen. Please post your ideas for this.

I would enjoy a bomb or some crazy robots but that's just me.

Some item with a special symbol on it that the government thinks is a threat? As for specific item, I don't know.
