To skip stones on ice

loving you is like trying to skip stones on a frozen lake
no matter how much I scream, cry, beg or plead, the
ice will remain, stubbornly so, ice.

you're as cold as the dead of winter and your smile is weak.
why do you pretend to love me?
why don't you just leave, already?

you are not happy here, you belong in winter.
and I don't enjoy trying to skip stones ice...

30th Poem
I find no greater peace...

I find no greater peace,
than after a storm.
when the ground is damp and
the birds are singing their songs.

I find no greater peace,
than when looking at
droplets that gathered,
on scattered petals and leaves.

I find no greater peace,
than the sound of rushing water,
and the view of ripples in puddles
that reflect the becoming blue of the sky.

I find no greater peace,
than the knowledge that,
there is a calm after
every ferocious storm.
