Potential Digimon Storybook [Digibook]

I don't have anything fancy prepared for display - that means graphics, title cards, banners - but I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in a Digimon storybook.

If folks are game, then I'll begin some plotting. If not, then I'll move onto something else to funnel time into. c:

I loved Digimon as a kid! Unfortunately, the only Digimons I can remember is a flowery cactus, a striped lizard dog, a Charmander-looking dinosaur, and a flying orange/yellow pig with fangs...

I'd have to refresh my memory by walking down memory lane, but I'm definitely interested. but I would most likely make a n00b character

I'm not a Digimon fan as much as I'm a Pokemon fan, but I can totally help with the fancy stuff, as I've worked with Digimon sprites before, which includes title cards, graphics, and the likes.
I'm also playing Digimon Adventures: Dawn on my rare free time, so I know SOME stuff.

D'you have a plot so far? Or an idea of the version of the DigiWorld you're gonna use, assuming that it's not original?

Eh, I'm pretty decent at making the graphics and whatnots. I'd be using a custom version of the DigiWorld in order to save on originality. That said, I think a majority of the story would take place in the analog world, a la Tamers.

I haven't really given it much thought because I wasn't sure if people would be interested. I'll start developing some ideas here and there.

Right, so we are thrown in a new world. Neat! Well then, we'll just have to wait for these ideas of yours to develop I guess. But yeah I'm definitely interested.

I have very little experience with Digimon, but having little experience with something has never stopped me from learning more about that something, so I'm game.

PS: @Lumi, @Pompadour and @Carina, is there anything specific we should research in particular? (Other than the species, of course.)

@AstralHunter --> Nope! As long as you know which Digimon you want to start with, what it Digivolves into, and what kind of personality it will have, you're set.

Omg I love digimon!

I'd be keen if the characters are all non-cannon. I like the idea of using the world, but not fanfic so much. Would we be using all original made-up digimon? That idea really excites me.

@Megrim --> As much as I'd love new, custom Digimon, that would give way to people overpowering their digis a bit too much.

All characters will be original, though!

Aw really, you don't trust people to be modest with it? What about if pepole designed their own appearance, but there was a bank of powers to choose from? Like you could just pick one kind of attack out of the list?

@Lumi That's good, because he was always one of my favorites, and ESPECIALLY his later forms.

@Megrim Yeah, gotta agree with him though. Usually, while it is possible for people to handle original content really well in a already established world, some may have trouble doing so and may design their characters in a reasonable way at first, but then it might get messy as to how fast their characters evolve and how quickly they'll become OP.
I recently discovered I was part of that group.

Also... How would we design our own Digimons? We'd have to design their base forms, describe which animals they're based on, eventually create their evolutionary paths and design/describe their much more complex Digivolutions...
It might get messy very quickly.
