What I learned from this painting: how to make black when you don't have black! My art teacher had taken the black paint to work on his own project, and rather than asking him for some I decided to make black with blue, red, and yellow, which I've heard is what you're supposed to do anyway, since there's no "true black" in nature. I think because of that I found much more interesting colors.
