Don't mention water types either, that doesn't count for obvious reasons. That or any type that resists fire, Typhlo's main STAB. I would like to hear you mention a comparable sweeper, though!
that aside, since I don't have a 3ds yet, now I really wanna fight both you and Char in Pokemon Showdown, I'm pretty sure it would be interesting. I'll probably send a link/develop the subject further via IM, bit trust me, recreating your lv100 team there is fast and worth it.
...especially if I can destroy it, but that depends on how good you guys truly are

I too would like to fight in a battle of the Pokemons. Granted, I'm not yet up to my full strength in ORAS due to my losing all my items, but I still present a challenge.

...Then there's Hydriegon, but I got him from a trade and haven't really tried to develop its power. Maybe I could train it? I'm not sure.

I have some Pokémon from White Version and White 2 Version that I can't remember. I should see who they are sometime, but not right now. Right now, I'm playing Fire Emblem: Awakening, and crushing scores of enemies while laughing maniacally.

Unfortunately, I'm terrible at battling. Sure, I can level them up and wipe out scores of NPCs, but when it comes to battling against other people (real people, not NPCs. How scary. ), I'm a dud. As a result, I'd lose very easily to any of you. My older brother is a far better fighter than I am. Yes, I have no self esteem; I know. XD

My best Pokemon of all time (and you'll never believe this) was my blue Basculin from White Version. That's right. Basculin. The fish. It sounds ridiculous, but that thing was practically pseudo-legendary! It levelled to 100 quickly, and swept threw hoarded of NPCs, not to mention my friend's ENTIRE TEAM, including his Lvl 100 Emboar! Now that's impressive!

Anyway, I'm right there with you @TheSilverFox. Actually, everything you just said applies to me too. I'll pull a Hunter and order them for organization. XD

1. If there's anything Leaf Green taught me, it's CHECK EVERY SINGLE TRASH CAN EVERYWHERE!!! XD I also choose to go out of my way and talk to everyone merely for more story. Items are just bonuses to me.

2. Oh hands down X and Y had the best stories to me. Hands. Down. Lysandre seemed so nice in the beginning. But I felt no mercy for him as I destroyed his team after his plans and treatment of Yveltal were discovered. And the mysterious giant man's big identity reveal at the end? THAT BLEW MY MIND! It was so enjoyable battling him! (Despite it being easy.) And that scene of his Pokemon finally returning to him warmed my heart like nothing in a while. Best storyline of Pokemon to date in my opinion.

3. One major secret of mine. My childhood nostalgia has given another Pokemon you don't know of a special place in my heart's Hall of Fame. That Pokemon is Pidgey. Yes, Pidgey. Ever since Leaf Green, I fell in love with Pidgey and its gorgeous evolutions. It is my philosophy to capture and train a Pidgey every single new game that they can be caught in. This is why you can always find a Pidgeot in my party. That Pokemon is Pseudo-Legendary to me, no matter what.

4. I. Know. NPCs are never a problem, but I'm a sham at competitive battling. A SHAM! I could never be one of those trainers who's game only truly begins after becoming the Champion. I lack the patience. However I do have fun battling Buggie.

And to end: NEW POLL! What's the most extreme case of farming you've ever done, and in what game? Mine will be up shortly. (And no, Farming Simulator doesn't count. XD)

My most extreme case of farming has to be in Mario and Luigi; Dream Team. If you've ever played the game, you know that there are way more enemies than any other MLRPG in the series. And what did I do? I abided by my rule, "Thou shalt never run from battle." So every enemy I came acoss, I battled at least once. I didn't even need to run into them. As long as I saw them, a battle it would be. It made the final boss super easy, but after all those hours of gameplay, I took a look at my Game Records, and found the "Enemies Defeated" section. A cookie to whoever can guess the closest to the number that appeared on the screen.

Since I followed that same rule @Charizard821, I'd wager it's pretty close to my own enemy count. I'll have to go back and check it. (Favorite fight in that game was Antasma.)

Most extreme case of farming, however, would be in Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. I spent months farming for the final boss.

I did the same, @Robusto. It made Ms. Shroob more like Ms. Shrub. XD

@Tortwag, the last post I read was of Twinkiel having a battle of wit with Mewtwo in the Shrine's "garden" with Spadassya. Y'know, the post where Twinkiel meets Aegeas?

Well I personally do have comparable sweepers. First of all, my beloved Twinkiel the Ampharos. Then, Sombrenard the Zoroark, Pyronair the Volcarona (love that Bug/fire curie :3), Mastershell my AMAZING Cloyster (counts because part Ice), Jinx the Miengshao, Sparkster the Raichu... Oooooooh, so many <3
...oh darn, does that mean I'm the only competitive-level Pokemon player here? Huh. Too bad. And I'm just a rookie competitive guy, too. But y'know, @Charizard821, you can play against online players with a lv50 team without necessarily playing competitively. That's fun enough. And that's playing against other players.

So, campfire story-time, it's my turn
Ironically, my first lv100 was a Kingdra (Pokemon I had never owned before) named Daedalus (because Yugioh. Do look up "yugioh Ocean Dragon Lord Neo Daedalus" and you'll see what I mean. Do it, it's worth the look.)
I had brought him from Fire Red to Platinium, and he was also the first one that introduced me to the competitive world. His first real achievement? Sweeping through four legendaries (Oh-Ho, Kyogre, Groudon, and freakin' Rayquaza) and an Alakazam all by himself, and I won that match thanks to him. I only had Sombrenard and him left. Loved him ever since. By the way, moveset he used: Protect, Yawn, Dragon Pulse and Ice Beam. AKA he didn't beat them all with raw power, but actual strategy.
LIKE. A. BOSS.
My first LV100 should've been Raichu, but he died along with Emerald.
...Yeah. Sad day.

@Charizard821 As for your poll... One word. DISGAEA.
Grinding is like... It's part of the gameplay. Each new boss you gotta fight is cruel, stronger and most of the time wittier than the previous one, reaching him/her is hard, and most of the time the field itself is at his advantage. It's like Fire Emblem on steroids. That's NOT an understatement.
So I just kept slaying monsters and levelling up my characters/equipments in the Item World (yes, that's a thing) before the next bossfight, and then a Geo Symbol (AKA field effect) I had not known about previously happened. It's called Cloning. Bascially, any members of my army or enemy's army that ends a turn on a Cloning panel is cloned as an enemy fighter.
...And... my main guy, Laharl, an OP Demon Prince along with about 8 of my strongest fighters were cloned. To make you understand how it felt, you need to picture this:
-You're grinding in random Pokemon grass or against trainers, and a team of 3 random random Dittos copy the level, form and moves of your strongest pokemon to sweep YOUR team.
By the way, you can't save inside the Item World, which means you lose everything if you die, and you also cannot leave until you reach at least Depth 10. I was at Depth 6. So yeah, most of my army was WIPED OUT, and surviving the mini-boss in Depth 10 was a pain.
That, guys, is daily grinding in Disgaea. Whenever you're not careful, YOU DIE, or the guy you wanted to level up does. The field can kill you just as easily as the enemies on it. And it's randomly generated. It's... It's hell. I love this system, it's handy and interesting, but it's freakin' hell.

I play a lot of Fire Emblem: Awakening, and that game is still a challenge for me. Even though I'm playing on Normal Mode (the easiest) paired with Casual Mode (meaning my soldiers don't die if their health runs out; they just retreat and return during the next battle with no consequences), I still have a hard time playing. That game can be super easy or super hard - it all depends on the choices you make at the start of the game. I picked the easiest modes I could find, and I still run into trouble. I hate those stages where there are infinite reinforcements. It's so fun to cut them down wave after wave, but it hurts when your own soldiers start falling and you have to go ahead and kill the commander. Then again, if the commander I fought didn't already die in Chapter 21, she certainly didn't die in Chapter 23.

I'm still trying to make my army powerful. If I can just level up every single one of my troops to their maximum levels, and pair everybody up and develop relationships (which provides benefits when they are paired up in battle), I can have an army that can take down just about anybody. Hopefully. Like I said, I'm terrible. XD Those opposing forces are hard, even with the kind of army that I've built, so I'm still farming, and I plan on farming for a long time. Oh, and pairing up random people and watching them talk to each other is hilarious. Particularly when I paired the optimist who loves blood and death with the sweetest person I could find. That ended so terribly. XD

Oh, and let me guess, the enemy count has to be about 12,500?

@Tortwag: Okay, now that's a valid claim. If that's your average day playing Disgaea, that makes Fire Emblem sound easy. XD If those are the odds, and the opponent has the advantage almost all the time....well, I'd lose in a heartbeat, particularly if you lose everything when you die and you have to reach a certain point to prevent that from happening. O_O

Yes that's a player's average day in Disgaea, and again, that's just for grinding. I should probably mention that there are 9999 to reach in Disgaea (though luckily you finish the story and SOME post battles way before that). That aside, you fight pretty much all the bosses on THEIR field, and they already have their formation set up. You, however, have to:
-Analyze the situation;
-Spot the Geo Symbols, place yourself to use their effects or eventually destroy them if they hinder you (assuming you can pass the guards);
-Find an effective plan to defeat everyone while trying to lure the boss away from the army's bulk (usually, just send OP Prince Laharl, but even that is not always safe);
-Eventually defeat everyone and surround the boss to defeat it, losing valuable mates in the meantime;
-Enjoy the music/amazing dialogues.
^ average situation in a Disgaea bossfight, at least for me.

So yeah Silver, not saying Fire Emblem's easy, I know it's not, but... Gosh, Disgaea's hard. Fun, but really hard.

@Charizard821: As it happens, my brother was playing Mario and Luigi: Dream Team a couple of weeks ago. I ought to ask him what he plans to do when he finishes with the other games he's playing and wants to play Dream Team again. Knowing him, he'll probably farm to fight Antasma, and who knows how big his enemy count is. XD

@Tortwag: Apparently, they married and their son came from the future (don't ask; it's a major plot element in the story, and I don't want to reveal any spoilers). He's really annoying, and he speaks like he's acting out lines in a play (don't worry; nobody else in the game talks like him. He's the only theatrical person I know). I am somewhat hoping for his humbling demise.

I suck at strategy. XD. The smartest idea I came up with was making a "wall of steel" to protect somebody in one of the side-chapters of Fire Emblem: Awakening, but that was only because of the suggestions of one my soldiers. Maybe I should've thought about that before I tried that chapter the first time and lost. I came up with the idea two hours too late, but I used a different save file, so the battle wasn't really recorded in my main file. As a result, I attacked again in my main save file and succeeded. I organized everyone in a wall of steel, and they held up against the original force and the reinforcements until somebody had to retreat. Then I tried what I called the "Loser's Gambit." In other words, I broke formation and killed everybody save the commander, who was too far away to attack the person I was protecting. Somehow, it worked. Then I killed the commander and won.

Usually, I just wait for the enemy to come to me and start hacking at them. I'm not good at strategy, but I do have some OP units that I can deploy to destroy everybody in my way (including one of my character's daughter. She is awesome. XD) Yeah, I understand. Fire Emblem certainly is an easy game, but Disgaea sounds like it's far harder. A lot of fun to play, but far harder. Still, it'd be a great way to improve my strategy skills and test my knowledge.

Oh god, that's gruesome, but then again that's essentially what I do in Disgaea for every bossfight.

Well you may be able to do that in Fire Emblem, but in Disgaea, the enemy's not dumb enough to leave their formation until you're in their attack range, or if they can safely reach and harm you. That and it highly depends on what Geo Symbol you or they step in. The first thing I did against the first boss of the game was sending Laharl as a decoy to wreck havoc at the entrance. Thing is, the enemy archers were on Geo Symbols with the follow effects:
- +1 attacks (AKA they attack TWICE);
- Enemy Boost x6.

As you can guess, I lost this battle. I came back later with a different strategy and won. Oh you have OP units? Good for you. Laharl is pretty much the ONE OP character you have, then there's Etna, your main vassal, and Flonne, who's OP in healing. But as Laharl's the main OP character you have, you can't just rush in without a plan.
And it's even worse in games like Yggdra Union (as you have 1 OP Unit of out 6 or 7, but that's it), but I shouldn't have mentioned that one because now I'm shivering.

Yeah, do play Disgaea if you can. Definitely worth the detours. Oh, and if you like stories, the way that one's told will make you laugh.
