Lots to do today!
First: Get the battle post out in PMD: SPoA
Second: Type up Chapter 8 in Tale of a Charmander from start to finish and publish it (no longer will you have to wait, Buggie! I'd say @AstralHunter, but you still haven't read Chapter 7.)
Third: Type up a Pokemon short story for my girlfriend
Fourth: Type and release a short story about a human from life to death from the perspective of his left and right brains.

I'll pass: I won't finish my homework in time. I may have the time to start the post, but not finish it.

I had no idea either until a couple of months ago. And technically it's not official. Writing for her's fun, though.
Oh gosh, if you handle the concept well, that might just happen. Oooh, now I wonder what's the difference/similarities between the two sides, how they interact, how they may/may not influence the human (if that possibility is even in there), god this concept seems NEAT.

Basically, left brain controls the logical and critical thinking side of the human, while right brain controls emotion and creativity. Left will be represented as a guy, while right brain will be represented as a girl. They will act as brother and sister, but ultimately share the same problems. They learn as the host learns, as they are his entire base of everything, so the story will play out with the host experiencing something new, and either Left Brain or Right Brain writing about it in journal format; what they thought, how they discussed it with each other, and how the host finally reacted. There will also be a few tear-jerker moments. If you guys would like, I can put a link in the DT for you to read. Just be sure to like it if you, well, liked it. Like I said, I'm going for Literary Spotlight.

...That... Wow, that first phrase sounds awfully like the myth behind Zekrom and Reshiram. And thus like my Entwined Tale of the Wishcraftress.
...Ah, there ya go, first impressions aside, it does seem quite unique. Fitting that concept in a short story though... Yeah, worth the shot! And yes please send a link here when it's done, see if I like it or not.

Ahh....nothing like a five-hour excursion to exercise the body (though probably about half of it was exercising). Except now my toes hurt, because they kept stabbing my boots with every step I took. XD. Oh, and sorry for my not being so active in the conversation in the DT. I've been catching up all the time, but never really decided to say anything. I'm just reclusive that way, I suppose. Of course, I will fix that shortly.

My favorite humon character in the SB? Twinkiel. As soon as I saw the idea, I knew I was going to vote for him. I've never seen or heard of a character like him, who manages to be so sadistic and humorous and yet with good intentions in mind. His sense of humor is crazy, and the verbal jousts he engages in are excellent. He's unique, hilarious, and a fun character, and I look forward to seeing what you do next, @Tortwag, because you are a brilliant writer. Oh, and I like the inspiration too. Never played with Nuzlocke rules, sadly, though I have heard of them...

The name of Aegeas was from the Swampert of the same name I have in my team in Alpha Sapphire. The explanation for the name? Well, I guess I was in a Greek craze at the time, and I probably read too many Greek myths. Once again, that appears to be my nature. Oh, and that manages to explain why two of the other members in my main team also had Greek names.

Now...what else to say? I'm tired, I've had a long day, I'm really happy, and I'm going to be seriously upset when Daylight Savings Time comes along. Frankly, I think we need to just get rid of the whole Savings Time thing, because I have no idea why we still do it. It sucks to wake up and find you have lost an entire hour of your time. :/ In fact, the only relieving thing about Daylight Savings Time is the hour I get back when it ends in November. XD. But that's just me, and maybe it should be something I could use as a topic to suggest for my Debate Club...

Well, anyway, I don't want to get caught up in that whole depressing business. I went hiking in the local hills, and got to see some of the most majestic birds in North America. I climbed a massive, tall rock, went back down it, admired the sights and sounds of the region, and learned to appreciate the natural surroundings around me. At a time like that, you can't help but smile and laugh, even if the hiking was 3 miles in total. Meh, so what if I'm a little dirty? So what if my heart is still trying to adjust? It's not too often I get to do something like that, and I'm happy.

@Charizard821: Oooh, I look forward to seeing that battle post! It sounds epic, particularly because of the nature of the Mystery Dungeon, and all the things that could happen in the fight. I can't wait to see it!

I better start reading your story, shouldn't I? I'm sorry I haven't read any part of it yet - after having seen your writing, and how excellent you are at writing, I know that this is something that I definitely want to read. It sounds fun, and I have heard about some of the chapters through my searching of the YWS. Besides, I've got about 45 minutes and I have absolutely nothing else to do, and this sounds like it'd be worth my time.

(and speaking of that, I ought to display my own Pokémon-themed novel, because I'd like to get my energy back on working on that project...)

Oh, and I like the idea of the human brain story! I hope you achieve the Literary Spotlight! It'd be cool to see that particular kind of format where you have the two sides of the brain with their own opinions and logic. After all, one of the sides is more creative, and the other side is more logical. It'd be interesting see the kinds of debates they'd have with one another, because they are so drastically different, and yet they share the same problems. Seeing the characters learn is also one of my favorite parts in any story - it adds a lot of creative touches and makes the story more vibrant and energetic. I wonder what will happen in these events, where the two sides of the brain learn as their host does? What an excellent idea, @Charizard821! I look forward to seeing the final result, and I hope you achieve what you are aspiring for!

@Charizard821, I vote for Zulu, since he seems to have the most potential of all of the characters, and who doesn't love underdogs? (I may also be a little biased, seeing as bats are my favourite marsupials and one of my favourite animals. In addition, Noivern is awesomeness incarnate.)

@Robusto, that makes sense - as well as the fact that you would make Reshiram a female. Although, I think she should have been female in the first place, since in Tauism, the white ying represents femininity and the black yang represents masculinity. (However, what possesed you to make Virizion - the Pokémon representation of Aramis of the Three Musketeers - is beyond me. )

@TheSilverFox, I love studying Greek Mythology, so the origin of Aegeas' name wasn't surprising - besides, you can hear it's Greek.

@Tortwag, I am completely, totally and absolutely shocked that Twinkiel is the name of one of your actual Pokémon. I would never have guessed, as there were no prior indications...

Charizard, Tort reserved the Zap Plate, so please don't join other people's groups and then try to steal their battle scenes. Everyone wants to write battle scenes, which is why they are guarded jealously.

I never make up my quotes, because when people do that, only one person needs to come along and show them the quote off of which theirs is (unknowingly) based, to pop their bubble. (Silver forgot about the opportunist, for example. And actually, realism isn't always the appropriate.)

I can assure you all that I can start posting frequently during April, since then it's vacation. Before then... I'll try, but as always, no promises.

The main reason why I didn't hesitate a second in choosing a Mareep and the name Twinkiel for this SB is because I had just lost my entire Nuzlocke challenge. Cpt.Twinkiel was dead, everyone else died, I was feelin' so good, then I saw this SB a few days later and decided to honor my little Flaaffy. I had NO idea if the character would actually be liked or not, since he's based on me, and people don't necessarily enjoy my... Eccentric demeanor.

Why are you so shocked, though? Is it because you thought it was a reference from an existing character?

Ah... Yeah. The battle scenes. Y'know, I reserved two Plates. As long as I get to write the battle for the Insect Plate, I'm fine. As for the Zap one, I do not mind Charizard writin' the battle scene if it is needed for one of his plans. He asked, and I accepted.
Don't worry, I'll be fine! Shell Master Tortwag always has a plan B When Charizard will be writing her battle, I'll be writing one of my own. And by that I mean: @Charizard821, Twinkiel won't be participating in thee Guardian battle for the Zap Plate. Something ELSE will happen beforehand, PM me for more details.

I oftenly make up quotes, however, but I always make a quick reference of where I got my inspirations for them. And usually, my inspirations are so obscur than people don't get it and think that it's original (even when I say it's not). So I'm not worried about the "one person pops your bubble" part.

I second that statement. I'll be much less active as well, after all, but I'll do my best. Still have some homework to finish today, and I hope I can start writin' by this evening.

Actually, that was just your first hint - and since I didn't know what Nuzlocke is, I shrugged it off as Twinkiel's inner voice's rambling. However, in other parts where you mention Gengar and Hoopa, it becomes obvious you've had one (or both, if Hoopa is already available) in your team before. I'm guessing the Gengar's name really was Plasmya and the Servine'a really was Spadassya.

Also, the only girl in this SB is Buggiedude. The rest of us are all males.

@AstralHunter Awww, you should've checked! Nuzlockes are the best way to grow actual bonds with your Pokémons while you're playing. You're genuinely upset when they're KOed.
Close assumptions, but not quite. The Gengar that accompanies me since Fire Red is named Ectoplasma (actual French name, which I love so much that I kept it), and my (very recent) Servine is called Spadassin (because male). I merely modified the names so it would fit the gender of my NPCs.
And I only used Pumpking for one event celebrating the leaked infos on the 3 new Legendaries in X/Y in Pokemon Showdown (a battle simulator), in which I indeed swept entire teams with Hoopa and a Venemoth called Belzia. 'Twas fun. I didn't win, but it was loads of fun.

...Is that one for me? Did I use a "she" when I wasn't supposed to? Can't spot it.

I looked up the Nuzlocke rules, and they are tough! Goodness...

(I think I'd employ the second and either the first or the third mercy rule.)

...And yes, that was meant for you. After the winking smiley, you said "When Charizard will be writing her battle...". Judging from that same post, you obviously know Char is male, I simply found it amusing nevertheless.
