  • How do you write like a cut off that then is like, finished somewhere else?
    Like, this:
    Spoiler! :

"Okay, he’d have to find another one. It was too dark to see. He supposed he could just aimlessly crawl around, thought in his current state that did not seem effective or desirable.
Liam smiled as a better idea hit him. Or he could use his new skills."

That or part is an or is a continuation of the idea before the prevoius sentence. How do I connect them properly with punctuation?
Should I do something like this?
    Spoiler! :
Okay, he’d have to find another one. It was too dark to see. He supposed he could just aimlessly crawl around, thought in his current state that did not seem effective or desirable - Liam smiled as a better idea hit him - or he could use his new skills.

    Help would be appreciated!

Arcticus I personally find the second one more continuous and easy to connect back to the other sentences.

Snoink I would probably slow it down even more...

    Spoiler! :
Okay, he’d have to find another one. It was too dark to see. He supposed he could just aimlessly crawl around, though in his current state that did not seem effective or desirable. Then, as he mulled over his current predicament, another, better idea hit him. He could use his new skills. Liam smiled at the thought.

If I were a girl in a book, this would all be so easy.
